  1. What a blast!  The night skiing was great, with a lot of people enjoying the food and beverages.  It was neat to see some of the younger women giving it their all in their division for 1/2 bouys and hanging on to some hits! I know a few have probably never skied under the lights, when everything feels really "hair on fire" fast.   Good showing!

Rossi skied best throughout , with Darren pushing him to the end.  One of my favorite moments was after Seth got knocked out , and was wanting a beer from HIS cooler....the look on his face when we told him "Oh Sorry, we're out" was priceless!  ....we weren't out! haha...

    Thanks WPB Ski Club!

  2. I think it's a great idea, and I'm sure whoever hosts the next Nationals will have a great idea too!  It's all fun!   It's not random; their rules and regulations have been out since early spring.  All skiers are 34 mph skiers (Men and Women). There's only so many hours in a day to pull skiers.  It looks like they will have 90 pulls before they even start the head to head.   That's a long day.  Thanks to all the organizers, judges, and drivers  that are going to make it happen!

  3. Garden hose and not a clear one is what real men use!  Take a long draw and ram that hose in the tank! Sometimes leaves a little taste in the mouth so you can feel like a prize fighter getting a whiff of amonia...not get out there and ski!

  4. I've been doing this sport for over 50 years.  It's funny because i still love it...it's the most frustrating, demanding, technical sport I've ever known..

But at 38 off at 2ball (offside)   ..haha...and again at 4, i had the perfect  turn...... That made the pass so easy and on time,  and I was so stoked at the end of the lake, i just grinned from ear to ear as Todd looked at me and said ...that felt pretty good....in a nice crosswind. I can't wait to talk to kris tomorrow!

What a great sport! Keeps you motivated...in shape, and stoked for the next bouy....and damn near 60.

    Cherish the journey.

  5. It's a great tool!  I consider myself a very good driver. Yet, we were not using the surepath for a month or 2, and were switching back and forth on boats used.  I put it back in about 2 weeks ago, and discovered i was 6-8 Centimeters to the driver side consistently.  Took another 2 sets to get my "vision" back to where it should be.

Now i want to get in the other boat with it, and see where i'm at!

  6. get the power vest or find one used if you're recovering from an injury.  I skied with it after a shoulder injury...couldn't believe the loads that it took like it was nothing.  It makes you ski a little different than normal, but it worked great for about 6 months for me. And when you're done, there's always a willing buyer ready for it.

  7. @skinutny   post some video of your skiing a set/ several passes..... and tell us what you're feeling on the ski. What are you trying to improve (speed of turn, offside, onside, tail slide)?  By starting at stock settings for boots and fin, we can suggest the changes that will make it do what it is you want it to do.  Feedback, and another pair of eyes on it helps a lot. good luck.

  8. Constructive criticism.....if they would just chill out a little bit on the announcing...not every skier needs the monotone building turning into screaming as they jump. It gets a little silly.  You could do a little bit of it, but c'mon.

  9. water cleaned up for Nate...not near the chop that JT and few others had.  It calmed for Will's opening pass, and then came back up hard for his 38.  Hope it's even for all tomorrow.
