  1. Boots are different; bindings are different. I've always gone with where the back of your foot (it's approximate) is. Not where the back of the plastic is. Then you have to adjust from there. I just tried a different ski this morning...two sets, and now have to move forward from what I'm feeling. Ski worked better when i got aggressive and forward on it. It helps to have people in the boat giving you feedback on what it's doing from their perspective too...and good driving too.
  2. There will be gas vehicles and boats available until everyone on this forum is dead.

Electric ones are coming along, but the infrastructure is minimal. In 20 years or less, it'll be a tossup as to what you choose. And both types will ruin the planet one way or another, until the next big thing! yeah!

I tried a denali fin today! haha!

  3. The pure sound of a Chevelle SS drop top with a big ole v8 and headers sure beats the shit out of an electric anything on a Friday Nite Cruise! Right Jody!?

I may get an electric something in the next few years...but they may have to add some sound or something other than a golf cart..haha!

  4. My current Goode is for righties, and I'm a lefty. If you're looking used and find one...try it, you might like it. Most people will give you a couple weeks to try it if you talk to them about it and are serious buyer.
  5. OK....I'VE SOLVED THE PROBLEM! All the bs with safesport and background checks, and taking the course.....

Just video all the judges all the time! It's cheap. Put a little camera in the tower so they don't sexually abuse any minors while counting bouys, and we can watch the whole tournament and make sure they don't put the organization at risk!

For Drivers, Put a camera on them for the entire 8 hours....Good drivers are Hams anyway and would LOVE the attentions and cameratime!

Put a camera on the dock starters just to make sure there's no shenanigans going on while measuring handles or anything like that!

I think i've saved us a TON of money! Please take care of my $395 annual USAwaterski fee. thanks!

  6. As an co-owner of a 1997 bubblebutt that Jody Seal put zo in , and I also have a 2015 6L SN 200....i can tell you I'd keep the 197. It's still my favorite boat to ski behind. I do love the 200 as well, but the bubblebutts are special. I'd say you're splitting hairs on money. In 5 years, you won't care about the extra few dollars. If you're doing tourneys, put the zo motor in it. If not, go back to what it was and use that gt40.
  7. The figure you were given is what the book values show...probably from a book not up to date since pandemic issues. Go to boat trader dot com, Ski it again, and get the claim rep some examples of boats close to yours. The rep just needs something to back up numbers. They may not go all the way to 20k, but rest assured, they'll get to the high teens if it wasn't a stated value type policy.
