  1. I've adjusted the boots as well as the fin. One year I skied on different skis. That was a change.
  2. @Horton What are the other skis to make "The List"?
  3. @E_T Unfortunately, I don't see competitive water skiing being anything more than a niche sport in the future. No matter how many gimmicks are tried, even MS's idea. Not that it hurts to try.
  4. @E_T I don't understand how mixing the sexes of a sport , in your words, "is quite boring" will attract more regular viewers. My point was from a slalom enthusiast’s perspective. It doesn't get any more exciting than watching Whitney & Regina compete at such a high level. Amazing skiing.
  5. I think this is about as exciting as slalom gets. Whitney tied the WR earlier this year. Regina moved the bar a couple times last weekend. Both are incredible skiers and seem to be pushing each other towards slalom greatness. It's fun to watch. I'm not sure we need any gimmicks to make it more exciting.
  6. @MS Belly puddy? It's hard to run 28 off when you're still drunk....At least that's what I've heard.
  7. @pjirsa I always have a good time at tournaments that include @MS. It's like having a personal bartender on site. That doesn't always work out as well the next morning.
  8. @ jimbrake - I'd add that option if I could edit them.
  9. @jdarwin Ice better be in coolers.
  10. For records, a special committee looks at video and scrutinizes the set to make sure everything is ok. I don't believe they'd have access video, or photos for that matter, from the angle the picture was taken above. I don't understand how it can be a miss when the front foot hasn't crossed the X-Y access? Maybe the next few frames would provide that information, but in the above photo JT hasn't reached the point where it can be scored zero, 1/4, 1/2, or 1.
  11. The front foot is used as the reference point for determining whether a skier missed or grazed the buoy. In the photo of JT, his front foot has yet to reach the point of judgement, X-Y axis points. So calling it a miss is a little premature. You can speculate but as Horton said, tie goes to the runner. Calling it in real time is difficult. The skier gets the benefit of the doubt.
  12. If memory serves, he started competing when he was 13 and was world champion by 18 years old winning the 1981 slalom title.
  13. I may have juggled my way thru....somehow. That's a good hockey club.
  14. @MS Can you get the fan that was behind DeBoer during last nights Kings game to your tourney?
  15. @Razorskier1 For some reason, I don't ski aggressively in a drysuit. I tend not to wear any neoprene, besides a vest, if I can stand it. I hear you on the inconsistent 35's. We've been struggling with an electrical issue with ZBOX, big swings in rpms, that has made skiing really difficult so far. 28's were hard. Fortunately, it was fixed on Sunday and now we can dial it in and worry about skiing. Crazy. I'm not expecting great results, but will have fun @MS tourney.
  16. @6balls you know it. I should amend my previous post to boardies @ vests. You should come to regionals this year. Last year it was a blast. Are u heading to @MS tourney in June?
  17. @Wish CP looked great on Saturday while netting 3 buoys at 10.25m, one buoy off his course record. He was the only skier to take down 10.75m all weekend.
  18. TGAS started at 12m in order to get the 10.75m head wind. But his strategy didn't work either. The Masters is a tough place to ski. Every year something unexpected happens and skiers end up in the drink earlier than expected.
  19. There must be some weird bounce back from the pavilion on the buoy CP fell around. Last year in the finals, T-Gas & Willy went done at the same buoy in much better conditions. Both skiers didn't appear to be in any trouble at the time.
  20. Drew Ross will be at the MSP show in the Malibu booth all weekend. Not sure if I can get to the show as I'll be at the lake this Friday & Saturday........playing in the pond hockey tournament on Lake Nokomis. Current temp -6 F.
