  1. Is he clowning by calling them fishing, sailing, and kayaking gloves, or did he let ChatGPT make up a description for "watersports" gloves or something? lol
  2. friend of mine is riding the 2024 and finding it noticeably faster side to side than the 22/23 shape.
  3. Get with a quality PT and get a good strengthening program going. Most of the time, joint instability like that can be fixed by training the muscles around it. The exercises will suck, but it's worth it to get back on the water. I've dealt with a lot of shoulder issues in the past but I've been pain free for two years now after working with a good PT.
  4. That rear boot is nuts. On the idea of elevating the heel like that, I always thought that was counter-intuitive for most humans. If I build up my heel, I end up pushing on the tail of the ski more. I noticed an improvement in my skiing when I went from a Radar RTP with a big fat footbed to a flat, wafer-thin Wileys rear.
  5. If you DELETE the photos from your album, it deletes them from the cloud too. If you use the "Free up space" option in the Google Photos app, it will remove the videos from the memory on the phone but keep them in the cloud. Here's an example video zoomed to about 1.8x. The shaking is from the camera mount and my big ass taking out the slack, not from the imaging hardware. https://photos.app.goo.gl/MxWHSbiTvmDDuq1u7 The other cool thing about hosting your videos in Google Photos is it uses the Youtube player to view, meaning you can slow down to 1/4 speed by clicking the little gear icon in the lower right. But when you do that, you wish you had a higher frame rate camera lol This is a Google Pixel first gen. Starting in the second generation of the Pixel, they introduced image stabilization that would cause all the funky video effects. I haven't tried my current phone, a Pixel 5, with what BobF suggests, but I think I'm going to.
  6. OG Pixel refers to the very first Pixel. Pixel 1. Those do come with free unlimited google cloud storage. The Wakeye app does control the zoom. I zoom to about 2x for 15-28 off skiing and it works great.
  7. Which version Pixel do you use this for? If I can find something that works with a newer pixel phone, that'd be great. I'm on my third battery on my OG Pixel
  8. The site is well done but there are a few giveaways it's a scam. Most obvious one to me is almost all the Malibus in his inventory are Australian Malibus on Aussie roller trailers.
  9. think this was a fluke mental thing. A wing won't change the way your ski starts in the slightest bit.

    New Vapor Boot

Honest question: why run a release on front with a double boot setup? If I was still skiing double boots, I'd dump my release in a heartbeat.
  11. been using Wakeye for years with an OG Google Pixel. Nice thing about that is it includes unlimited Google Photos cloud storage, and automatically uploads the videos once you get back from the lake and the phone gets on the wifi.
  12. Check your fuel pressure with a load on the engine, but those pressures are too high. You should be 43-45 at key up and 35-38 at idle. It should be a standard rail-mounted 3-bar regulator for GM. When you remove it, reinstall it with some red loc-tite or the bolt will leak fuel. Something like at this link. Not sure if this is exact one or not. https://www.amazon.com/Injection-Pressure-Regulator-compatible-CAVALIER/dp/B08L1TYDJB/ref=sr_1_8?crid=2V1URJSSPZMDJ&keywords=45+psi+fuel+pressure+regulator+gm+5.7&qid=1691513268&sprefix=45+psi+fuel+pressure+regulator+gm+5.7%2Caps%2C351&sr=8-8
  13. Man I want to try this ski but I'm just starting to feel really good on my 2023...
  14. There are probably two gaskets there. One at the lower union where the housing meets the manifold. That's the gasket you posted in the link. The second will be between the two pieces of the tstat housing. At least, that's how it was on my Indmar Monsoon. For that upper gasket, I bought some gasket material from Amazon and made my own. It's an easy job with a crafting knife.
  15. She has Gumby-like flexibility in every joint in her lower body to move like that on a slalom ski. Emulating her style would put most of us in the emergency room.
  16. In my Response LX, the bow seating is ONLY used for idle speed operation in the no wake area of the lake I frequent. Before we leave the no wake zone, I make everyone move behind the windshield.
  17. Is that what Glen Campbell is still riding?
  18. GPS puck is present right in front of the windscreen on the driver's side. It already has the multi-line display. A Zbox and SG upgrade should be pretty easy and affordable. I have a 2001 with Zbox and it skis phenomenally. I may also have a buyer if you don't want it.
  19. Beautiful boat but off by at least 7 years on the age. That looks like a 2004 to me.
  20. No L bracket on a Monsoon, but agreed on the cable/linkage tightness check. Good point.
  21. IDK if the fuel pressure gauge is a definitive trick. Larry from Indmar once suggested that but I don't know if it's 100% the case. I would start with the cap and rotor if they're due anyways.
  22. Looks like fuel hammer to me. In later versions of the Monsoon, the fuel lines that connected the two rails together had rubber sections. If your crossover lines are stainless, you can replace them with Indmar part number 786129. 99 would likely had stainless lines from the factory. A way to test if you have fuel hammer is to put a fuel pressure gauge on the rail and see if the problem goes away. The gauge acts as a bit of a buffer to the hammering issue. If you already have the rubberized lines, you can have a hydraulic shop make you up some lines that criss-cross instead of making a rectangular flow pattern. That's been the fix for boats that can't shake the hammer even with the rubberized lines from Indmar. Cap and rotor are a good idea to swap too though.
