I also suggest an early 90's Prostar. You can usually get them for for really cheap especially if the interior is trashed and you are willing to put in a weekend or two's worth of work with seat repair and new carpet. I've bought and resold a few over the last 6 years.
As someone who took a long break and has returned to the sport I recomend a ski that is the right size, and that one seems a little small for you at 250lbs
I hung drywall and eventually worked my way up to an electricians assistant before I went to college and ruined all my usable skills with book knowledge.
As I said Mike should be able to tell you where to place screws in the binding to hold it down, and remember that you will want to tighten your laces when using his system with radar boots
@chris_logan I didn't try it out, I just happened to have some over at Whitestone and Mike and I talked through mounting them. It's not hard to screw them into place on the plate, and mike can talk you through it.
