  1. Any way you can list the numbers all ready chosen so we don't get duplicates?
  2. @markchilcutt Congrats and BTW it's in the books, that's all that counts for the first one. Can't do the rest till you get the first.
  3. I'm in Pueblo Colorado and if your any where near we can get some sets in. You probably have to pass through to get to Santa Fe. Let me know and I'll make sure you get some skiing in.
  4. I would like to comment but I'm guessing I am close to the banned list after my comment's in the pictures of Horton thread so I won't comment on how John see's everyone!! Besides that I might have to drive through Bakersfield one day.
  5. @ski4xtc Also notice that on his pull out he has the handle vertical and his hands are above the center of the handle. Does anybody else hold the handle vertical on their pullout? Not sure if I am seeing it right but he does not seem to change the attitude of his shoulders to the boat once he counters for the buoy goes through the turn and is then releasing for the next buoy. As always he makes it look so effortless.
  6. Was it always this way?
  7. paypal is being a putz!! I was selected to be part of the new security standards. Now I need to re-establish my account from my home phone. I'll do my donation once I get home.
  8. I saw an interview with Wayne Newton many years ago in Vegas. In it he said he water skis to keep fit.
  9. Maybe a quick email to PP about how exactly a global reset happens. ie. What settings are in it from the factory that cause it to go through the start up routine in the first place when you get the unit.
  10. Do you have any video of you shortline skiing behind the same boat? I know the LL was for fun but it might be informative for us LL skies to see how different the 2 types of skiing appear to be. I video all of my passes and can say that I have a hard time relating what I think I am doing, to what I am actually doing against what I see SL skiers doing. The fundamentals are probably the same and I need to works those but the application of them seems to be quite different. Thanks and sorry for high jacking the thread. I to love the ending reminds me that it's still all about having fun.
  11. @skidawg Thanks for filming this. I notice that the engine does not seem to be reacting anywhere near the same as a short line. I am assuming that this is zero off or SG with a Z-box because of the beeps at every buoy. Being as I am fighting to get any consistency at 15 off at any speed above 30 MPH I was wondering if you felt the load you applied was more even from the end of the turn out to the apex of the next. In the shortline videos it appears that the load is on through the wakes and then quickly off after the second wake. Or is it just that you never really need to load the boat as -15 off is pretty easy load wise. Any thoughts would be insightful.
  12. Interesting observation, On the rare times that I can run my 15 off without a lot of effort is usually when the sun is glaring down the course and i cannot really see 2, 4, 6. I have to ask the spotter if I cleared them. It seems that the not looking at the buoy's is a key element to getting through the course for me.
  13. For the issue we had it was the dedicated ground wire that was the fix. We still pulled the power from a keyed source. I think the rpm signal is using ground as the reference point against what it sees as an edge for the pulse from the engine. If it was me I would make sure the ground is really good first.
  14. My guess would be it somehow lost the RPM signal. I'm not sure but can you see what it reads in the rpm portion of the screen when it doesn't engage? We had a boat that had this issue and it was the ground and power sides giving us issues, nothing to do with the settings.
  15. How do you know what "Moldy old smurf cereal" smells like?
  16. I really have no idea what is an appropriate comment for this. Maybe "Why were you worried about were the 1st box was from?" Are there box's you receive that should not be opened up on camera? :)
  17. I use a Penrad1500 xray machine data stream integrated through a logarithmic interpolation to locate the exact end of my foot and then scale the image to.... wait a minute that's what I use for looking inside Halloween candy!!! I like @Hortons method :)
  18. @Horton Interested on why you think lifts do not help you get stacked. Also does anyone have a really good example of being stacked behind the boat? I always find that my rear heel does not like to stay flat on the ski. Double Strada boots.
  19. Disconnected the timer mapped the course as stated in the manual and the times were spot on for all 6 buoy's. Also the beep's were exactly as the pylon went between each of the boat guides. I did have to map the course twice since I was a little off the first time. I'm going to have to find a different excuse now!!! No one is skiing well enough at the moment to gauge the Z-box addition. Everyone is using B2 so it should feel pretty much like PP normal.
  20. @Horton Sounds like your comment should end with "again!"
  21. March 14th Colorado, Drysuit. March 24th and 27th in Cancun in shorts and life jacket. March 31st drysuit in Colorado. April 7th drysuit with 1mm neoprene top and winter head gear to stop the brain freeze from the 45 degree air. Gotta love spring time in the Rockies!!! Can't say we have really started but we have been skiing!!!!
