@Marco, Hi, A ski buddy of mine was out in Montrose a few weeks ago and stopped to look at your lake. Looks like you have 4 homes on it now? Is that correct. Sorry to Hijack.

Never skied at Canyon lake but I am sure someone on BOS skies there. I saw a video of "The Krista" skiing there that I think John H. shot. Maybe someone can chime in on this. Maybe open the thread up to skiing in SO Cal over Christmas!!

How far away are you considering? I think Canyon lake is about an hour away.

If you look on Goggle Earth at the 10/01/2009/, 5/2/2011 data you will see a slalom course in Kelly lake. The course runs SW to NE just off the center of the lake. Its also pretty clear on the 11/01/2011 data. It's about 43 meters off of the bigger peninsula on the NE side of the lake.

Not sure about the infinity comment earlier. At our lake we have one and we call it the cheater boat because at longer lengths and slower speeds it still doesn't have any wake versus the Mastercraft and Responses we have there.

Just noticed 2 others Nighthorse and lake Durango. Not sure about boating status on those.

I think the closest course is @Marco 's lake in Montrose. The closest lake is Navajo about 40 minutes away.

@jfw432 If you are sinking it is probably because you are not going outbound anymore since you have no angle through the gates and are starting to go down course. I always think to try to get as wide past the right hand entrance gate as I can rather then getting to the one ball. Left arm pressure on the handle helps as does standing tall. Remember to always try to be going East West at all times. I also am battling the 15 off consistency thing and I find that as people have said on here before concentrate on your position behind the boat. Everything happens there not at the turns. The stacked position that everyone talks about here is the key. Good luck and have fun.

Nobody has posted yet and I am not a teacher but here's what I see. I think you need to get up further on the boat and wider than the buoy line prior to going into the gates. Also it appears you are skiing at the 1 ball rather than at a point prior to it and then trying to come back to the buoy. I think if you try this the rest of the course will be easier since you will be starting wider rather than narrow. Welcome to the addiction!! BTW Your 2nd 30 and the 32 mph looked like your best 1 ball runs. You may want to move your bindings up also as you are on the back of the ski. Hopefully others will chime in that have better comments than me.

@Live2ski I have been in Scotland a few times but only zooming up the M90 to Lock Ness from Edinburgh in that part of Scotland. That and sipping on a Iron Brew!! I am looking for anyone that belongs to the Cirencester ski club down in Gloustershire in England.

Were is Dostero? OK I found it it's the Dostero quarry exit. Sorry I don't know anyone on that side of the state except Marco from BOS. Maybe try calling Tommys and seeing if he or Brian know anybody at that lake. The website is Getommys.com for contact info. Good luck.

A mixture of hydrogen peroxide, lime-away and lysol toilet bowl cleaner sprayed on will get it back to original. Rinse it well with water afterwards and don't get any of it on the chrome pieces. Worked for me.

Can't believe that they don't make them anymore. At the price they were it can't be because they weren't making a profit on them!!
