  1. I keep seeing Connelly ads where they are welcoming a young skier to the “Team”. Are they sponsoring these athletes (even if it’s just gear)? If so, hats off to them for setting a great example of how to grow the sport by encouraging the next generation to work hard and be rewarded with more then just rankings.
  2. I seasoned race care driver, skier, and waterski industry professional basically said you need to “look where you want to be” to sum it up. Everything slows down when you do. No diff then driving your family car around the corner. If turning, your eyes will look well past the turn and the focus is where you want the car to be. Same in a straight line or curve. I ski best when my eyes find the next ball out in front of the boat. Just got done skiing and was working on this. Long ago a tried a baseball cap and pulled it down low. Forces the head up to keep the eyes at least as high if not higher then the horizon.

    Knee help

Been using a stationary bike but as @Taynton suggested, I’m now concentrating on 6-12 o’clock in the rotation and that’s made a positive diff. Also been researching Knees Over Toes Guy and while I’ve only sampled a few exercises , the whole program seems spot on and I’ve only come across positive after positive review. And to see what his 67yr old mom is capable of, he backs up what he’s preaching. Gonna try to post progress if I can. Mostly to keep myself accountable to the program. But I feel this is the most promising not only for the recent event but for a life long not so great left knee. Thank you all for the posting.

    Knee help

@Bruce_Butterfieldmah... Medical advice is a bit of a stretch. Maybe saying I messed up my knee is vague but I’m way past Docs and PT. Just lookn to strengthen both knees and increase range of motion.
  5. My left knee has never been great as long as I can remember. But now my right knee has joined the party. Looking for some good knee exercises for strengthening. Messed up my right knee in Oct It’s ok now but I’ve lost strength and full range of motion ..maybe stability. Can ski without any pain but do notice strength issues when climbing stairs. And skiing…just don’t want to admit that. Also looking for good stretch’s to regain full ROM to go along with strengthening.
  6. Just finished my checkup today. All clear. Sadly my Dermitologist has retired. She was the best. The new guy isn’t too bad. Took his time. This was a worry as I’ve personally witnessed Dermitologist barely taking any time. Foolish. There’s still plenty of winter left (sadly) for a good chunk of u so not a bad time to make that appointment. But don’t let weather stop u if you’re in warmer climates. Take care 👍
  7. @Horton …..not mine. But agree on feet, hands and pants. 😂 ..Can u figure out how this guy got into the boots and into ski position?
  8. Good project boat. Maybe a repower. Great wakes. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/626978219187669/?mibextid=6ojiHh
  9. @Horton yes spent a good bit of time on it not to long ago. Still rips and was hard to hang back up. Wonderfully diff and exceptionally capable. Can’t see it ever becoming wall art.
  10. Lapoint MasterCraft Goode 9700 HO S2 first version Denali 3.5 2016
  11. Not mine but seems like a great deal. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1197576581140878/?mibextid=6ojiHh
  12. Perfect statement; Kids should be encouraged to try a little bit of everything. Goal of mine was to teach my daughter life long sports beyond high-school sports like... golf, waterskiing, snow skiing, ice skating, billiards and tennis to name a few. Some she liked…some she didn’t.
  13. Plus-1 for @Bruce_Butterfield ....my daughter was fortunate enough to go to a small private school where there were not enough "club players" to fill any given team. So she played 3 sports and was good enough to be a starter for all three from her freshman year on. Add ..band member.. to that. Sounds like over kill but she wanted it...never pushed. Variety I think was key. Unfortunately she did fall away from skiing when she hit high school but up till then was setting tournament PBs right and left but it was always a struggle keeping her interested. I had to be Ok with that. I was told by a skier/parent to be patient. That she would come back to the sport once the others were done. I did not believe him. Or at least did not want to be disappointed. Then out of the blue for my birthday this yr, and after 7yrs off the water, I received a commitment letter to ski with me at least 2x. She's gettn back into it with goals she's set for herself.
  14. Ordered the Comp. What a great deal! Very excited ?. and then my wife said not to be used until I unwrap it for Christmas ?
  15. @Mastercrafter Look at it this way. How often is 41 run by other male skiers in tournaments?. How often is 39 run by other female skiers? Both Nate and Regina run it often enough that others have shown up for second place for the most part over the last decade-ish. So the comparison can be looked at from that angle which removes your variables. Who has been more dominate compared to his or her competitors…? Looks like Regina wins. GOAT
  16. Did not think there was that much of a spread...wow. Regina = GOAT
  17. Who has run more? Regina and 39s ? Nate and 41s ?
  18. Taught me how to waterski and snow ski because it’s what he loved to do. He still rides in the boat and enjoys watching us ski.
