  2. Not just open bow boats. Friend of my daughters family rented a pontoon. Not experienced boat operators. Her friend was sitting on the floor up front. Legs dangling in the water while the pontoon was moving. The water pushed his legs back under the floor and he was pulled off and was run over. He was air lifted to a trauma center where they put his foot, that hit the prop, back together. He spent most of his senior year in a wheel chair. Fortunately for him and his family it was not worse. He fully recovered. Sorry to say, you can’t fix stupid. Not the pontoon manufacturers fault.
  3. Was thinkn I’d post them. Was also thinkn we’d get more guesses. But here ya go.
  4. @SlalomStevenJust a thought but if u can find some thick-ish rubber ( maybe off an old broke boot ), u could cut to fit a piece between the laces and the tongue of the boot across the top of your foot to take up space so tightening doesn’t have to be so drastic. It will also increase down force to the top of your foot for better performance vs the laces by themselves just closing the sides of the boot together.
  5. Oh dang. I knew it was Lou Holtz. Just associated him with ND…my bad.
  6. I’ve been in the boat watching Lou ski. Never give up is an understatement. I’ve never said to the other person in the boat “”…op, he’s done..nope he made that ball..but he’s not gonna make the ne….oh wow, he made that one too ..but now he’s prob do.. son of a bitch he made that one too. . That’s all 6. Shortening the rope.”” …. until watching Lou ski. No lie, our ski group refers to the skier that didn’t give up on a pass and it payed off as “pulling a Lou”. I’ve also had the pleasure of listening to his stories about his days as a Notre Dame football player. Every story had a life lesson. At least that’s my take away. Been a good while since I’ve seen him having not skied tournaments in some time. Look forward to running into him again. Just a great guy. Thanks for sharing the above
  7. @Cooper_TrelawneyIt’s only women’s records they are looking for.
  8. Another under $10k perfectly great ski boat. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/327191839632457/?mibextid=6ojiHh
  9. FB post; In this quiz, you need to name the women to have held an open world record for the longest time. The list has nineteen record streaks, we have set the cut off at three consecutive years of holding the world record, with most of the skiers breaking the record multiple times during their streaks. The skier at the top of the list held the women’s trick record for an incredible 17 years and 11 months. We have mentioned the event, consecutive years the record was held, as well as the highest score during the streak. Don’t cheat and look it up.
  10. Ha! Jokes on you. We were allowed up to our knees. 😎
  11. @Jody_Seal 1963 Glastron in my yard. Dad purchased new. @Dsully we woke up as kids in the summers, put on our bathing suits and that life jacket in white. Swam and played all day in the lake with breaks to only eat.
  12. These are great boats all the way around. Waterski Mag rated it in the top 5 used boats of all time. It can be an affordable sport. .
  13. Would it be helpful to list what time it will start on this side of the pond?
  14. You had to have double boots cause that’s what the pros were moving to.
  15. Covid and the brutal Australian lock down had a lot to do with him being out for a few years I believe.
  16. Hot Summer Nights was THE coolest thing on television. Skiing, beer, and bikinis.
  17. Allie Nicholson Runs 39. Heard them say she’s the 10th or 11th in history. Fun to watch. Great web cast.
  18. Good thread. I remember watching my daughter get crushed by a certain boats wakes (yrs ago) first round (early am) and didn’t want to ski second and third. I somehow convinced her (probably bribed) and round two with a diff boat was a PB with way better wakes at slower speeds. Seemed half the wake size of the first round disaster. There’s way more to why kids back away these days but giving them preferential time and boat seems like a no brainer. It’s diff for each tournament but please add awards for Jr if u are not doing so. Make a world of diff to fight for a medal or trophy or a prize then a ranking number.
  19. @Horton there may be that one guy that stands up but I bet there’s a bunch more that are happy he said it so they don’t have too and get the blow back he got. Just sayn. My wife enjoyed the film. Planning do get my daughters view as she was into film making for a while. And skis.
