  1. @6balls Hay i skied with a hoof trimmer in MN. Now there just can't be to many skiing hoof trimmers in the great white north. And from what I remember, I was amazed he could get those meat hooks in a pair of gloves. He used to trim a dairy farm where my (former) fiences grew up in Princton MN. I'll be in MN. tomorrow actually.
  2. Man did u all notice the amount of lean/angle/acceleration or whatever you want to call it when he hooks up for the gates. And he is a ski length away fom the first wake. I don't think I've seen another skier accomplish that much so early before the first wake and by the time the tail of the ski is hitting the second wake, the edge change is almost complete. To me that's why his 41 is "easy". It IS all about his start.
  3. Rodltg2 .... Ya I did hear the wakes kinda sucked. Did not know about turning issues. Wow. I still agree with swc5150 in that they had some good interior ideas and similarly so did Sea Rays inboard ski boats but they sucked for wakes as well.
  4. I think that Zx-1 or Svfara/Infinity Sv One was great for erganimics. Huge up front legroom with big bench seat, easy step over transom. Big walk around room. One of the best interior desines for the 3 event purest. IMHO. :-). http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?topic=Search&category=Comp_Boat&postid=14559
  5. Could be the sticks. Traditional vs Wide ride (assuming Tgas has a nano painted wide ride) Tgas has a tighter radious turn and pulls longer to th ball. It's a shorter ski. By a lot so it makes sense. Tgas climbs up on the front of the ski ever so slightly in preturn. Chris is still straight and evenly balanced throughout. Look at Chris's intentional handle contol. Sticks it to his ribs with a level handle and rides the preturn. Reach is also very deliberate. Check the handle when he starts to initiate letting go. Different on both sides but the same each and every time.
  6. @Jdarwin thanks ... That is a good price. @Garn thanks for the advice Planning to order tonight.
  7. Anyone else want to chime in on ProLock sizing compared to Clinchers?? Also still lookn for suggestions on where to get a good deal on Prolocks.
  8. Man card still in tact. Just part of the equipment.
  9. You should send them the link to this thread. Maybe that will clue them in to the problem and they may start taking the time to get it right the first time........ or second.
  10. So, want to order Pro Locks now. Who has the best price and how do they compare to Clinchers for sizing. I wear Mediams in Clinchers.
  11. Ok just skied for the first time in stretchy board shorts and wow they are great. They do not ballon up with water at all when getting up. I had my wife take out some of the billow in 2 pair of regular BillaBong shorts and at times even they catch water but not these. Not sure I'd shell out $66 which was retail but I'll keep hunting TJmax, Marshels and Ross. Will not buy anything that's not stretch. Cool.
  12. So intrigued by "stretchy" board shorts, I just stopped by TJMax to see if they had them. Never had, seen or heard of these. Found the only pair they had. All others.. normal material. Alpinestars Tech boardshorts. I looked them up. Ridiculously expensive $66pair. Alpinestar.com. I paid $14. Worth the risk. They stretch like crazy. Reminds me of cycle shorts material or Underarmer material. Will see how they work. My complaint with most is the ballooning with water when getting up out of the water..huge drag.
  13. Was told that Goode doesn't use metal inserts because "they rust". That's their words.
  14. Wow! Jody. Did not know that. Just thought it was an entry level boat. So what is an 11 rudder?
  15. Had heard many going from 9700 to a 9800; then not liking 9800 (heard complaints of ski being slower) and they would go back to 9700. Not so much with 9800SL.
  16. If I like the Radar I'm testing I will have a 9800sl and 9700 for sale. $500 for both.
  17. Berkley sunglasses from Walmart. Polerized and only $5. Look good (not goofy goggles) Awesome for morning glare on the water. Everyone says they can't handle the water spots but to be honest you will get used to it quicker than u think. Add glasses strap (small stretch tubing $2) also from Walmart which seales enough air inside tube when attached that they will float and your good to go.
  18. Clinchers. No more back up pair. Will have to give pro-locks a shot.
  19. I've never heard of a skier using the excuse... " I was goosed at 5 ball".
  20. I'm second if Brent doesn't get it. :-). @razorskier your from MN?? I think. I'll be there next week.
  21. Saw a pic of one on SIA. Is the tow bar slanted towards the motor box. Like the old Supra's?? Or is it the angle of the pic??
  22. Road one set on Vice. Will be riding it this week a few more times. Will report back. Coming off 9800sl. Will get a chance in a couple weeks to ride both Strada and Vice back to back. Did test the Strada already but months ago. May just be the time that's past but not noticing a huge dif between Strada and Vice.
  23. Skibug, I noticed that to in the vid as well. His reach is down at first but the line is level with the water even when his arm is down. As the ski swings away and he becomes more laid out in the turn, the arm goes up. Basically he keeps the line perfectly level at all times.
  24. How do they manage waterproof seats/motor box?? Doesn't the water get in the seams of the vinyl or what ever they use?
  25. To many spots on my glasses.
