  1. Hey Stevie. Bill Porter, owner of Performance here. First thanks for asking. After building out our new pro-shop in April 2013, I focused my attention to towards the new website with the overall objective of trying to extend our "pro shop experience" to our online customers. Like many things in life....good things take time and I'm happy to say we hope to launch the new site in the coming weeks. The great thing with the new site is that beyond just being a site to buy ski gear, we are also going to incorporate our team athletes, coaches & schools we work with, and companies we like into our new website! They will have a platform / place to provide our customers with tons of unique content, product and setup information, instructional videos and all their social media feeds flowing through our site. The idea here being we want to connect you with the people who are making things happen in the industry, and who we rely on to help us have the most up to date knowledge on the gear we sell. If you have questions, we want to help you get your answers. We aren't trying to replace great forums like this, but more to be a source of information for our customers to make more informed purchases and service our customers better. Here are some key elements of the page that are our focus & I'll include a screen grab of the new page also to give you an early preview. * Ease of shopping.....super easy to navigate & search, shop by attributes, and faster server * Live Chat: Customers asked for it.....we want it....we want to extend the pro shop experience. * Info: Tons of new information on the shop, what we do, people we like, setups & more * Coaches Corner: Look for this to come...names like Rini, Mapple, Travers Wilson Bros, McClintock, Barton & more to be named! * Meet The Team: Info about who you are buying from, Team Athletes who believe in us & why. * Personalized Service: Set up your own account / order history / preferences / info. * International Shopping: Better ways to help our customers outside the US get quotes * Ability to add more features and improve the site as technology improves. Realize theres alot here....and this will be a "work in progress" but some great things to come for sure! Stevie, thanks again for asking. Means alot. 3. Wow...I'm a bit overwhelmed here. Thank you all for kind words. John....no you have always been on point for a long...long time....I'm just late to the party. Thank you for being a voice for the sport, offering a forum for skiers, and direction for the future of our sport on many levels. For those of you who were kind enough to post the words above...all I can say is I'm humbled and "Thank You". Retail is not a perfect science, nor is it easy, but the constant in it is great customers who have a passion for the products we sell and skiing in general. And we have some GREAT customers. I'm truly excited about our new store as it embodies what I feel a real pro shop should be. Unlike our old store...you can actually "find and see things". Its definately a bit more organized and customer friendly, but we still want to maintain our focus on the hardgoods portion of our business....while offering alot more variety in apparel, wetsuits, and other areas. Its a work in progress. I'll try to get some photos for John (that are worthy of posting) to give you some idea of what we've done...but as customers tell me, photos don't do it justice. The nice thing for me personally is that I've had staff from the past make major contributions to the design and buildout and it offers a direct connection to our past. I also felt it important to remember the man who believed in my dream when no one else would many years ago. Herb O'brien. As you come into the store, look to your right. Herb was a special part of our history and I'm honored to have him as a part of our store for as long as we are here. Thanks again for your words...and John, I'm very proud and excited to be a part of the B.O.S. family. SO AWESOME! Bill Photos of Herb's Memorial & Herb's son Paul who happened to stop by on the first day we opened.
