  4. We just pulled our first one out of the box...does look fun!!
  5. From demo'ing in the shop....we use Matt's numbers and have had pretty good luck with our customers. From these settings however we find many customers end up pushing the boots forward to engage the tip of the ski. I'm sure if you reach out to Matt, send him a video of you skiing via text he will offer suggestions. If you want to go short / deep... Trent's numbers I believe are on the factory site. Sorry this isn't an exact answer, but hopefully some suggestions. @Swini_Skis
  6. We've not run into any issues....and all assessments on sizing here run true to what we've experienced in the shop. You might consider adding a footbed from an older pair of tennis shoes or we do sell radar's footbeds that come with the boots. You will remove excess volume from the boot doing this...and it should sort out your problem. If we can help let us know. Best Regards Bill @ Performance Ski and Surf.
  7. Heres a short video we did with Matt after he got is new boat...he let me jump in for a set with Whitney.
  8. You can do this at Matt Rini's, Jack Travers or Drew Ross' if you book through Nautique at specific times...but all the schools are pulling students with the boats...might be easier to just pay and take a set.
  9. We were lucky enough to have Paul Crawford in the shop yesterday to talk about the new ski...help us get an overview of it...why they replaced the ARC. Obviously there will be alot more detailed info from them to come...but here was what I got from our meeting and the key highlights / reasons for the ski: The general key thing with the EVO they wanted to achieve with to create a smoother ski, with better onside turning capabilities ("intuitive turn") that has "less load" behind the boat. To achieve this, the EVO has a slightly deeper concave bottom than the ARC that flattens as you get closer to the tail. Blend this with a bit more tip and tail rocker and a slightly narrower tail...and they feel you have a ski that will ski more predictably & will have better edge hold across the wake while still having the ablity to "slide-push" the tail around at the finish of the turn to create angle when you need it. The deeper concave under your feet is designed to trap more water and yield a better edge hold over the front foot / behind the boat.....creating more width with less effort. The shallower concave through the back of the ski gives the ski the "slide" that Nate has asked for to help generate angle out of the turn. We have demo's on order...and hope to have skis here by the 2nd week of April if you are in the Orlando Area. They are making 66" & 67" skis now....and this will be followed by 65" and 68" skis...and lastly the kids ski. Hope that is a start for you all. We are taking orders on skis....hope to have some in stock VERY soon! Bill @ Performance.
  10. We just got some more in stock...have sold VERY well...no returns / warranties! Which is always great! http://www.perfski.com/stealth-gloves-by-ryan-dodd.html
  11. Thats weird...what size did you need..think we have all sizes but medium, but probably could get that too: http://www.perfski.com/ski/slaloms/waterski-bindings/brands/d3-skis?m-layered=1
  12. Hey Everyone, Just got the most recent fin numbers from Matt Rini he is finding working with people on new Vapors. Wanted to share them with you. If you are on 68 Pro builds or 63" skis.....Matt / we could use fin numbers that are working for you. If you are in Orlando.....want to try a ski...let us know. We have size runs in Pro Builds now.
  13. @Ed_Johnson we just got in both the Stokes vests if you want to try them. @TEL Camaro had some stitching issues that they have supposedly fixed. We should be getting them soon.
  14. We just received the Syndicate Omni's and have demo's for people in the area if you wish to take one for a rip!
  15. We've just received new Burton 181 Wheelie Board Cases and Lockers if you are wanting the best snowboard style bags out there.
  16. Also thanks to everyone here for the kind words....we appreciate the BOS community and learn from you guys and these forums!
  17. @vtmecheng Thanks for the business. Danielle was who worked with you and I think she was just as excited as you were to find the ski! Hope you love it...and thanks for your business.
  18. Here are some images of the plate / new hardware. We have them in stock and ready to ship!
  19. We've had virtually NO warranties on Vapor boots over the past 2 years. We did see some issues in the first years of the RS-1 Boots and early Strada boots where the rubber cracked or tore...but Radar did a great job of taking care of these. On the new boots...honestly just haven't see the issues...and if they arise, Radar has been good about taking care of them if the boots have had normal usage. One note...where you store your boots when not being used or drying out makes a BIG difference. If you can keep them in an air conditioned or climate controlled area to dry....it can extend the life of them. We see skiers leave their gear in their boats, put up wet, covered by a boat cover, when the temp is 100 degrees outside...and with all the moisture left to "cook" the boots...its just not ideal for the longevity of them. A little tlc and common sense will go a long way. Also if you ski alot...at some level your boots WILL wear out. Think of them like running shoes....if you run 3-5 days a week....they will break down and wear out after usage. Ski boots are no different. However, premature cracking / defects should they happen, should be addressed by the dealer you bought them from. I'm amazed how many people call us....having NOT purchased product from us to ask us about "warranty" on products. Obviously my first question back at them is... "Have you taken them to the dealer you bought them from?" and often times their response back is "Oh they can't seem to get an answer"... or "they won't do anything" or "no, we wanted to call you guys because we hear you guys always are great with warranty issues".... Obviously on some level this is an awkward position for us...but even then, we typically try to help if we can in the hopes of winning a new customer. But please...if you have a good shop by you...who you have a relationship with...support them. And when you have issues, they will be there to support you. Getting the best "price"...is not often getting the best "deal"..especially when you have problems. Sorry for the rant...but please...support your local pro shop... who in turn can support you.
  20. @gsm_peter no "wide" versions that I've heard of...have had some people go bigger, but if you have a wide foot...might look more at the profile boot as it has a wider last in it. You can heat mold the boots putting on some extra socks may help, but typically best for a normal /narrower foot profile from trying them on with customers. @pregom go 11 for sure to start. Remember the liners can be heat molded to be adjusted if you need a bit more room. @mjnelson who did you buy them from? have you spoken to the shop? thats the first place to try....they can be your advocate...if they are outside warranty...Radar will sometimes offer customers some extra consideration on replacements. Worth a shot.
  21. @kc for sure there is. A big upgrade. The liner incorporates Celliant material that is supposed to reduce foot fatique / allow you to me more comfortable. You can read more about it here. http://celliant.com/ Also the new Boa on it is micro adjustable and makes minute adjustments to tightening or loosening the boot a cinch. More on the video on our web page. http://www.perfski.com/ski/slaloms/waterski-bindings/radar-2018-right-carbitex-vapor-boot.html
  22. @ToddF unfortunately you are correct. Not sure why Radar isn't doing it in the aluminum plate version..... Outside my pay grade  But glad they are doing the XL size for sure.
  23. New Micro adjust Boa system is amazing...as it allows you to loosen / tighten it in very small increments. Also the new liner upgrade is being really well received. Will sell alot of these this year.
  24. Radar will be offering a HRT in an XL later in the year in the feather frame.... The Std Size has been a tough sell to fit size 12...but obviously it can work....which is good to know.
  25. @Canuck44 Thanks for calling.... Demoing skis locally is what we are setup to do as we don't manufacture skis....and have a limited amount of demos. Beyond this, shipping internationally you have the in bound / out bound customs fees to deal with and shipping costs which honestly makes it unrealistic cost wise to do this. That said, like the companies who demo skis....sell them to you....then will take them back within 30 days if they are perfect...we could do something like that also..but again, we don't "refinish" skis and re-sell them...so if the ski is not pristine....you would not get the full amount back. Sorry this isn't the easy answer...its just the economics of the situation that limit it. That said, you can be assured if you buy a ski from us...it will be setup...fin adjusted...ready to ski. I'm amazed how this is not done by most shops these days....and its like buying a car without having the wheels balanced. Its the difference between have a ski that works vs one that doesn't. You will see skis starting to go off price in a couple weeks...so that might help make the situation easier...however supplies of 17 skis are dwindling... but we will have 2018 models rolling in as we do now. Bill @ Perfski.com Thx @Horton for the tag.
