  1. Find whatever she thinks most comfortable & supportive and mount it to an OB4 System.
  2. waterskimag.com/how-to/2001/06/14/battle-wounds/ The above referenced article explains that this is normal for skiers. (in case you got a vibe the ballers were being sarcastic) miamiskinautiques.com/2013-Straightline-Neoprene-Spray-Leg-p/13_sl_sprayleg.htm This might help you out in the mean time, but I agree with everyone else that the only way to really fix it is to ski more.
  3. @TylerR this guy is right in your neck of the woods too
  4. Masterline's first batch had ring failures, so they switched to metal. Then there were some experimental batches with getting the strap length right - those batches had the same type of failure at the wrist as you did @davidgree1 (I know this first hand, I broke 8 pairs in a row). I broke the actual strap 3 times. In every case, ML promptly replaced my gloves at no charge. ML has their design dialed in now on the Pro-Locks. It's interesting to watch history repeat itself as Radar is going through the same iterations that ML did with the same points of failure. Without a doubt, Radar will take care of you and get you set up with another pair of gloves. Customer service at Radar is great when you are allowed to explain your situation and they will stand behind their stuff.
  5. The video does not provide a wide enough angle to make that call. Tower judges have a wider view that allows them to see the ski path and determine where she is no longer in control of the handle or "in a skiing position".
  6. Donate it to Spray-It-Forward... no need to really worry about the year. College kids getting their first exposure to the sport need some decent equipment.
  7. or maybe yes?? I guess it depends on what you want your child to be named, if you have a prenup, and how many lives you have left.
  8. Touche' @dave2ball... I just keep relaying what I am told when I ask where my orders are at. Bob emailed me yesterday asking if I still wanted them, so I was like "of course I do"...
  9. They took delivery of their latest batch yesterday (6/18) and are turn-n-burning them out to everyone with some on backorder.
  10. I skied a couple sets with Nicole and Aidan a few years ago before the Masters. They are incredible coaches and gave me some tips from a perspective that I had not heard before then, or since. I do still keep those notes on my main page of to-do's that I read through before taking sets to work on my mechanics. When I actually work on those things, all of my passes improve in ease and buoy count. @Texas6 @estrom that 427 really is her daily driver (when the weather is nice).
  11. Wouldn't hurt to go by Grainger or Fastenal to get a supply of spares to keep on hand.
  12. Well I do train sometimes at 34 mid season, though it's mostly working on mechanics. I usually work on things at one shorter line length than I see in my hardest pass at 36. Seems to make the normal set at 36 click a little better that way.
  13. I knew that was coming soon. The kid has some serious talent!!
  14. @Than_Bogan I would assume that being able to pick up a used OB4 system anytime soon would be about as easy as finding a Vapor with a handful of sets on it. Are you currently in rubber boots? If not, bolt up your current setup to an OB4 system and run with it.
  15. I would set the boot on the plate (not under tension), then on the ski, and adjust it until the back edge of the heel (nearest the plate) is at 29.25" or ~74.3cm as a good starting point. Don't just choose holes - always measure.
  16. I know my ability is well exceeded by my ski; however, the ski compliments my ability so that, as my ability increases, the performance of the ski increases in a ratio greater than 1:1. I still keep my other slalom ski, though, just in case.
  17. +1 on the Liquid Cut angle gauges. I bought the full set, not necessarily because I will need them, but I'm willing to bet that at some point I will be around somebody that will need one of those oddball angles and could probably spare a cold beer to use mine. They are durable and look good as well.
  18. So... did you get paid in Baller Coins or just call it even?
  19. @Than_Bogan, I really wasn't going to have one until my mother insisted and then started telling me what it would be. I then decided I had better take the reins on design and substance or there was no telling what I would end up with. @webbdawg99 The lady who will be making the cake (as well as wedding cake) is ultra good at what she does. I have had many of her cakes, some of which included fondant, and they all were amazing. She is the type that perfects taste first, then worries about what it looks like. I am shying away from using fondant though, so we should be ok. Thank you all for the ideas and pictures! Keep them coming!
  20. Knowing the back-story on the photo, I have no issue with it...Personally, I wouldn't have any issue with it anyway. However, I very much understand where @Wish is coming from, as I didn't "like" it on facebook or instagram due to knee-jerk reaction (and assumptions) that 90% of the population will make after seeing that I "like" it. It is one of those things that, unless people read the caption, people get the wrong idea, and my finace' happens to be one of those people.
  21. Well crap, I forgot to multiply by two for the return trip.
  22. Ok Ballers, I need some good ideas for my groom's cake. I had the thought of maybe a ski boat cake, a ski lake cake, a cake that looks like a ski, etc. Post some good ideas and definitely any pictures of some you have seen in the past would be awesome!
  23. The national average for gas prices in '66 was $0.32/gal. Ford claimed 30mpg in the first gen Falcon that offered (2) of the (3) six cylinder engines that were available in the '66 model. This fuel economy estimate is believable as most highway speed limits at the time were 55mph. Assuming the car to be loaded down with people, food, and gear, I am going to subtract an estimated 6 mpg...I am going to say you averaged 24mpg. Also assuming that what you spent on gas for the trip does not include boat gas for practice. All that stated...$20.
