  1. Yep, that's not uncommon, and it's very simply about your timing. When you think about getting tall in your glide, I like to think about getting up on my front foot and getting tall, which centers me over the top of the ski. You want to initiate that turn in from your glide optimally at your highest point in the pull-out, with the speed approximately that of the boat, without a loaded line, but without slack. The turn in can be progressive and doesnt need to happen all at once....Your ski builds angle best when the line isn't loaded, and you moderate speed by progressively building angle and not taking off like a rocket ship too early....If you load hard and take it all at once from your highest point, you will find yourself fast at one ball. Progressive. That timing is easier said that done, but it's what I strive for at most any length 28 and beyond.
  2. Great skiing man, and that’s a ton of progress in a really short timeframe by the way. I agree you should be higher on the boat in your pullout and glide, but also balanced in the center of the ski and not on the back during the glide. If you are sinking in before you turn, you simply need to adjust your timing such that you can initiate your turn in toward the gates roughly as your speed matches that of the boat, without slack, and without a completely loaded rope. Once you get that right I would consider working on your arm position as you go through the wakes and begin your transition into the turn. Think about keeping your elbows pinned against your vest a bit longer, and not allowing the boat to pull your arms up and away from your body before it’s time to release and turn
  3. I like Hortons theory as written above, but the process of coming off the pulling edge to the turning edge still widely varies depending on how much angle and speed gets created in the work zone. Watching Terry he lieterally seems to go from one to the other through the wakes in one movement, but that works for him because his work zone is crazy efficient. Others with less efficient angle and speed might fight that edge change a bit longer to ensure they carry speed and angle outbound
  4. My 15 requires a dealer code. Hmmm, head scratch moment for me
  5. And not exactly a plug and play solution with that voltage on your dock
  6. The likely voice or reason. Thanks Chris, 66” it is. Off to regionals today, another Radar order coming your way. Really appreciate the help
  7. Call your dealer and they will need to give you the dealer code necessary to eliminate the service reminder. Write it down as you will need it again. The stereo remote is likely just on the wrong source. Press the button with the arrow to scroll through sources and see if you can get sound via FM radio first
  8. Question for you ski size guru's. So my 15 yo son has the older blue Vapor. He is 5'11" and 130lbs on a 65" ski. He's shot up in height and weight is coming up also. He's been on the ski two seasons and is working to make 32 off at 36mph consistent. He's skiing great on the 65, but I swear it just looks like a cartoon to me with his height on that short ski. I recognize weight is the measure we use....I have a 67" Vapor that I was considering letting him try although I recognize he would probably be better off on a 66. Thoughts? If he can turn it, turn him loose? Thanks in advance for the help.
  9. I'm 5'11 & 185lbs and wear a medium Evo. It fits, but fits a bit more snugly than I would like. But I love the vest, and its durable as hell. I'm getting a large and giving my son the Medium. Great product
  10. Why don’t you kids go dig a hole, and I’m going to get me another beer - Reese Bobby - Talladega Nights
  11. Product is great. But even on my deathbed, I would refund money to people who paid me and received nothing. And perhaps he still will do that. Glad to hear he’s back, wish him all th best
  12. @MS - I actually called him to see about doing that. Thought my two boys would have a good way to make a little extra money and do some work. He wouldn’t even call me back to talk
  13. They wouldn’t get free scotch, they would just pay for yours and have no handle. If we see anymore US Gear threads, can I give a Panda?
  14. By decent wake, I'm not referring to slalom clearly
  15. always loved that boat for a coastal fisherman who also wants a decent wake when the fish aren't biting
  16. @Skinut - I’ve had that exact thing happen. Except my dumbass got back in n my ski after an OTF just past the wakes going to 2 ball, and I took another shot. Same thing. Painful lesson
  17. The hole in his head was added as a pressure relief valve to release hot air
  18. I must have leather skin as this has never happened to me. But wearing a spray leg is not the answer. Stay strong
  19. I bought Badal’s last MC about two years ago; best boat I’ve ever owned. Off topic? Point is he takes good care of them, sets them up right, and punts with low hours
  20. I don’t totally understand that crash? WTH happened?
  21. @Horton would be the highest paid pro skier if he could get manufacturer sponsorship money from the pile of skis behind him. Trent has a great attitude, and is a fantastic ambassador for the sport. Easy guy to root for
