  1. And what did Stisher say that was so funny?
  2. Dude is a beast, and he put an enormous exclamation point on that record by running it three times in a single weekend. Unbelieveable skiing from a humble guy that anybody would like to see at the top. What an accomplishment and what a freaking career Jeff has had.
  3. Bringing back this thread......United breaks guitars. They did finally offer to repay this guy by the way. The power of the Internet.....and the power of BOS may help here???
  4. @Horton, do you happen to know off the top of your head where that measures from tail to back of back boot? I use Stradas on a Strada and could use another reference point for comparison

    MC vs SN 200

@jdarwin; solid advice right there. Totally agree
  6. That's really cool @wish. For some people it's deer heads for trophies, for others it's old wooden skis.
  7. Well said @SkiJay! @Tup, I should have mentioned you are skiing well at a very high level prior to offering any critique here. The critique is exactly that: being critical. Nice skiing!
  8. @Tup, I have to agree that it appears you are too far back on that ski in general. Its noticeable as you cross the wakes and the tip rise in the turns is a result of the same issue. Opening up to the boat a bit at the conclusion of the turn and through the wakes may help center you a bit better over your bindings. This isnt a theoretical west coast style plug, but more of a trick to encourage your center of mass to move out over your bindings a bit. Moving them forward a tiny bit may also help keep the tip down

    HO "A3"

Fundamental business question here: Why do all the ski companies wait until Nationals to announce new ski models? I get that scores for the subsequent season begin after nationals. But it seems it would make far more sense to announce in early March when everybody begins jones'ing to get out on the water. Most have laid off the water for a few months, with the exception of mainly Florida. What am I missing?
  10. Bruce is like Confuscious; or Yoda on skis
  11. That was a typo, should have said 73
  12. Yes!!!! There he is!!!!!!! Shipping two Majarajahs, circa 1983, to Florida this evening. Wooden skis take at least 35 years of age to turn. We're headed in the right direction here
  13. Horton will not be switching skis on tournament day and instead will be bringing the N1. Rumor has it Brooks just called and asked Horton to spot him two passes.
  14. @Than_Bogan, I was implying that you were bright, not nerd like. I am not guilty of precision; and tend to swag in lieu of precision. I'm leveraging the ballers to draw the precision out of me a bit:)
  15. Horton was rounding buoys at a college in Louisiana before Brooks was even born. I like to think the experience can trump the exuberance in this situation. Maybe the switch to the Mapple will push it over the goal line
  16. I can't use a slide rule and I had to Google Wolfram Alpha. I'm afraid to ask where that leaves me?
  17. @Horton; I figured as much, just thought I'd prop you up next to the MIT grad and chief equation officer for a moment
  18. @Than is rubbing off on @Horton a bit. Nice work on that equation Horton
  19. I think anything capable of bringing skiing to the masses is great for the sport. And Horton is skiing which should be a big draw in itself. I always thought Town Lake in downtown Austin,TX would have a great turn out also. Anybody know if this has been attempted at any point in time?
  20. @Razorskier1, you took the words right out of my mouth. No disrespect intended on my part either, but my opinion is the 197 has gotten an undeserved bad rap recently. Yes it needs an update, but still a stellar boat. Mine has 600 hard hours on it and it's taken me from 15 off well into short-lines with no complaints at all. Great boat
  21. I'll look it up. Feels good to be barely within 20 balls of a 63 year old Badal
  22. Horton says sport tube's are far too heavy for 63 year old world record holders
  23. Haaaaa! Nice @Horton; stellar skiing for such a young up and comer.
  24. Not intentionally exposing to much about the guy here, but how old is Badal? Just curious.
