  1. Does anybody know Rossi's approx height/weight? I'm 5'11 165lbs on a 66 and like it, just curious
  2. @Shane, how did the tourney go this weekend? I decided I wasn't ready just yet this season but am curious how it went.
  3. Thx @ dibeck! I'll try that now
  4. Dangit! I tried numerous times and got no feed at all
  5. @Marco, you opened at 28 in your first tourney ever? Wow, that's solid right there. I think I was 15 off at 32 in my first tourney. Fell at two ball in the first round because I was nervous. Ha
  6. Strada is a fantastic ski. I felt comfortable on this ski on my very first set, and haven't looked back since. Very easy ski to ride, and its taken me to four practice PB's in the past two seasons....lots of progress being made on this ski.
  7. Oh and that's really pretty amazing for the record. I don't even shorten the rope on my first couple of sets. Just got through 32 for the first time this season this past weekend. I was fired up about that and agree with what you said about BOSbuilding a better skier. Thinking about the theory behind the execution really makes a difference. Not trying to hijack your thread by any stretch, just a longwinded agreement to what you said.
  8. @Shane. How's the progress? Anybody switch from Stradas to Exo's yet?
  9. And Carl skis into 38 with that bicep!!! Are you using a handle guard these days?
  10. I took a set this morning and tried moving out bound for the pull out with my COM. My timing wasn't perfect, but I honestly had some of the best gates I've had all year at 28 and 32. Awesome tip Shane, thanks a million.
  11. That's a clever way to look at binding placement. What if you find yourself slow at times and fast at times:)...jk
  12. You're absolutely right, I stand corrected. That is a new gate for him. His old pullout is attached below. Now I'm even more anxious to try it....
  13. @Shane, I've heard this before and have obviously watched the pros do it, but I never understood why (dropping the hip instead of the entire body). Your reasoning actuallly makes perfect sense. Parish is the only one I can picture who still obviously uses the entire body on the pull out. I'll give it a try
  14. Shane, during my second set yesterday I took a look at the motor box and pylon instead of the usual buoy line. Much to my surprise, I'm not as high up as I thought I was (maybe the back of the motor box). Could have something to do with my crappy 32 gates. I really thought I was up higher than I was, indicating my point of reference may need to change. Great tip
  15. Haa, nice! There isn't a whole lot of "it just does" in my skiing unfortunately, although I strive for it. But that makes a ton of sense actually. I'm usually too busy watching the buoy line during my pullout, but I do try and match the boat speed before turning in towards the gates. I'll try and reference the pylon to see how my current pullout aligns with it during my next set. Thx for the tip Shane!
  16. @Shane, tell me more about you and your coach's "pylon high" theory through the gates? Inquiring minds
  17. Congrats!! Get ready for the addiction!!
  18. How do you adjust the CR/C'S value and by how much? My one ball is always fast but always barely in tolerance
  19. I agree@Than! I'm the last guy out of a heater top down here. I'd much rather be comfortable than look my best. And the southern temps do have a way of spoiling you a bit
  20. But isn't nice to know that it isn't your ski that's preventing you from running all those buoys?? I pay the money for a great ski for that peace of mind. The downside is, I have no excuse
  21. May be easier to attach it to your ski and take it for a set
  22. Nate is a freak of nature. There is no way to describe Nate:)
