  1. @scuppers, good point actually. Lots of pull ups in my workout routine during the offseason seem to have helped mine a bit as well.
  2. The use of a radius handle has helped mine quite a bit. I will add that I switch to a baseball grip (both hands over the top of the handle) when I am getting pulled out of the water and then again at my pull out at the end of my pass. I have also began using the arm bands on both my forearms which I am told helps preventatively, but not much after the inflamation begins. Other than that, I have to deal with it and it is really tough to make disappear once it starts. Last season was my best in several years due to implementing the above measures however.
  3. Ha, that was the only one I found in your last note. Just busting your ba@&$
  4. @markchilcutt, Its pretty darn close through the course. You will definitely notice the difference between the two around/prior to the 55's where ZO normally pulls really hard and then immediately levels off at the appropriate speed prior to your pull out. I actually like this with ZO because it settles in really nice at a very predictable time. Z-Box will still settle but not quite so obviously. But through the course, its a very nice pull and quite similar to ZO IMO. Good luck!
  5. Ran a long set this morning using Z-Box and it went really well. I used the B2 setting and it felt a good deal like ZO through the course to me. It didn't overshoot the gates at all and never surged like StarGazer did without Z-Box. The pull felt very consistent to me from behind the boat. Times were consistently good, either dead on or off by a hundredth of a second. I then drove for my ski buddy and could definitely feel and hear the contrast between Z-Box and PP Classic or Stargazer. After only one set, I'm glad I made the upgrade and definitely recommend it over StarGazer by itself.
  6. Installed Z-Box this evening. The upgrade from StarGazer to Z-Box was a 10 minute job, really easy. Ran a few weightless test passes and it timed out perfect every time and never over shot the speed at the gates & 1 or surged at 3 ball which is promising. Skiing a set early tomorrow morn and will report back in. 2003 TT 197
  7. Perfect @lff, much appreciated. Ordered Z-Box yesterday afternoon and am installing it on Thursday.
  8. @lff, did adding the z-box solve the short setup speed issue? So the boat and skier were coming into the gates and one hot before z-box, and after adding z-box they are no longer doing this? Please verify
  9. @East Tx Skier, those double handles are stellar.
  10. Teal was fantastic. The nineties made a run at turning everything either teal or fluorescent and made decent progress. Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson, and Screech just called and said they want the 90's back.
  11. I thought Horton did a bunch of "wing-less" testing at some point last year? Am I offbase Horton?
  12. Our family land is on the North side of Houston in between The Woodlands and Magnolia. I'm happy to ski with a baller anyday but that project will take us a while to complete. If you ever make it out to the West side, let me know as well!
  13. I'm curious what it is about Chris' style that makes it better for great conditions? I would argue that most styles are better suited for great conditions, but regardless of conditions you have to be the best skier to win. I would think his stacked strong stance on the ski should give him an advantage in most conditions.
  14. Thx guys, It's great to be able to get this kind of feedback in less than a day. Much appreciated!
  15. For the record, chicks in Texas can hula hoop better than that.
  16. I have played with the settings until I am blue in the face. I have lowered my baselines, throttles up quickly, throttled up slowly, switched to inverted, etc etc and I still can't dial in Stargazer. I either come into the gates hot, or I surge halfway down course?? I am now at the point of running in PP Classic mode instead of GPS and I swear it works twice as well. I feel like I wasted a lot of money making that switch. If z-Box makes this problem go away on a short setup, I would consider throwing another $400 at the problem
  17. I am only moving down the street, never leaving Texas
  18. http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?topic=Search&category=Real_Estate&postid=18392 We're building a new home down the street in the same neighborhood. This one will be listed by a realtor this summer, let me know if you have an interest.
  19. This is very helpful, thanks guys! Exactly what I was looking for
  20. We have a piece of family land that I've convinced my family to build a multi-purpose lake on. Selfishly, my intent is to ensure it is very skiable, in addition to the fishing & etc that the rest of the family is most interested in. Because my uncles build roads and excavate for a living, the hard part of this equation becomes simply an investment in time and fuel. My goal is to guide them appropriately on the optimum slope and depth of the lake and I am interested in your thoughts on best practices here? What is the optimum slope/grade of the perfect slalom lake? What is the optimum depth in the middle? thanks in advance!!
  21. Sunscreen, a can of beer, and Willie Nelsons Greatest Hits....oh, and a roll of duct tape, a nine iron, and at least two Tylenol
  22. It's really strange for me to watch the cable slalom. I'm not knocking it, just struggling with how close that guys back is to the water. My gut tells me, when your already dragging your shoulder blades on the water, you have to grow longer arms to get one more buoy. Nothing else can possibly help right?
