  1. I called her this week in search of a new handle. She called me back and let me know that she has been sick in recent weeks/months and is just now trying to get back to work. She is a nice lady, just give her some time on your request or call

  3. Ed, you make a good point on the baselines. When I set my baselines I was working through a 15mph crosswind. I reset the baselines tonight with no wind, and they came up a bit shorter on the RPM. I'll report back after I ski tomorrow to see if this helps my fast first segment scenario. For those that are contrasting this with their boats, I am in a 2003 TT197 with the LQ-9 in inverted mode on SG. More shortly -6.

  5. I upgraded from PP Classic to Stargazer in the past few weeks. Before upgrading I called PP to check on the ZO emulation, which they assured me would be a simple code upgrade for existing Stargazer customers when available. I can certainly tell a difference between SG and PPC, mainly in that if throttle position isn't just right, you will get a fast first segment while it levels itself out. If throttle position prior to the 55's is perfect, it pulls a great pass. I'm ready for the ZO emulator, and in theory this seems to be the perfect compromise. Boody makes a good point though, my concern is that mechanically it may not be able to keep up. If that's holds true, the ZO emulation of SG sounds like the way to go. Either way, that suggests all PPC users should be considering the upgrade to SG

  7. Water temp this morning was 86 in Houston
  8. I'll take a stab at it Horton. Send me a text at 2817051924 and I'll send you my email info.
  9. I tend to ski very inconsistently when my body gets tired. In other words, too many days of consecutive skiing or too many multiple set days and the gremlins creep in. That is when I take a day off and recover, almost always ski better when I come back
  10. 93 in Houston in the water at 8am. 103 outside!! Lord help us
  11. Glad the transition went so smoothly for you, you must be a good athlete, it will pay dividends down the road for sure. Kudos for taking the chance on a mid-season switch.
  12. It's bad when you're praying for a tropical storm, but I am right there with you
  13. I noticed the same thing about my grip several years and made the commitment to change it. Surprisingly, this was harder for me to do than I expected, and felt more awkward than I ever would have realized. I found that it helped me open up my shoulders a bit and evened out my pull. There are some great skiers who ski with the so called "wrong" hand down/up. For me however, I am glad I changed
  14. That was incredible...My next question isn't meant to detract for how incredible that video is, but I'm curious what speed he was running there? 18-20? Awesome
  15. Rosharon is a great site. Houston is a big city and the site is potentially a good drive for you, depending on what part of the city you are staying in. We'd love to have you out to one of our tournaments in the Lakes of Katy on the west side of the city if your schedule permits. Lakes of Cypress is pretty to get to from most parts of Houston as well. Let me know if you're looking for a pull while you are in town. Regards
  16. Yes I did, thank you so much! I was going to respond to him tonight. My assistant made an error with my travel and it prevented me from leaving today as planned but I had to go to the airport first before finding this out od course:). I am now heading out tomorrow night instead. This may screw up my desires to ski, but my ski is packed regardless! I'll send him a note tonight! Again, thanks a million!
  17. Fantastic, Thanks guys....I presume I could have figured whether it was the front or the back if I would have actually put a tape measure on it, but the rest of the detail I would have missed. This is very helpful, thank you
  18. My apologies in advance for this question as I'm sure you've heard it before ad nauseum, but I need a little help. Just got my Strada in the mail and was going to take the Strada boots off my RS-1 and mount them on the new ski. I read on Radar's website that Rossi recommends 28 3/4'ths for the placement of the front boot on the 66" ski. I assume that is 28 3/4'ths from the front tip of the ski to the very front of the boot? Just want to make sure I get this one exactly right. Many thanks in advance
  19. I should add that I am "out" if the have Pirahna's or any other creepy South American fish
  20. I'm off to BA next week and have a day of downtime. Have any of you ever found a pull in BA? Please advise as to how a guy might pull this off if its possible? Thanks in advance
  21. I'm 37, so that certifies me as pre-historic
  22. Horton, Pretty weird that this topic came up twice yesterday huh? I'm going to pull the trigger on a Strada this week also but I wanted to check with you on sizing. I am 165lbs and 5'11" tall. I currently ski into 32 off at 34mph on occasion. Any advice you can give me on length is appreciated
  23. I was going to first see what's out on Ski-It-Again and then I'll hit up H2oz. Thanks a million Horton et. all!
  24. Enough said Gents. Thanks for all of your help and guidance. New Strada, coming up
  25. Crap sorry, I meant to say RS-1 and not Strada. It was my understanding that the white RS-1 and the Strada were essentially the same ski. Maybe I'm incorrect on that. It is certainly not the silver topped Strada, but the white RS-1 (the last year of it). Was there a difference between these ski's or is it time for an upgrade? Thx in advance for all of your help. I am not itching to spend the money if its just a paint job, only if ther are real differences in the performance of the ski. Regards
