  1. I have always worked out really hard aw well, and she has been consistently painful. It usually results in my feeling like a baby calf attempting to walk for the first time on most days. I print the workouts out usually before going to the gym, and they always look easier on paper. Always.
  2. Following her workouts I've referred o her as Jenny LaBaw-breaker
  3. @jimbrake, she's the real deal. I met her when she was traveling on the Face-to-Face tour with Marcus, and they came through our neighborhood. My wife and I both used her separately for a year and both feel the same way about the results. Her workouts are intense, but I've never felt better.
  4. If it makes you feel better, I highly recommended the bindings for him as well. I also feel partly responsible for the issues he is seeing. Having said that, he is still adjusting to a new ski and binding set up after being on his old set up for many years. I sent him instructions on heat molding them thinking that may help a bit, but honeslty think he just needs time on them and some minor adjustments in his skiing form
  5. I have always worked out, and try to stay in shape so I can participate actively in the activities I enjoy the most (namely waterskiing). I thought I had a solid knowledge of my diet and exercise and felt like I was in decent shape for my age. Then I decided to hire Jenny LaBaw as my personal trainer for 12 months. We did it all through her website online which was easier than actually meeting with a trainer for me. I can say without hesitation that I learned more about diet & exercise during that 12 months that I had in the previous 12 years. She completely changed my diet and exercise regimen in a way that I personally feel has optimized me as an athlete (with heavy emphasis on the muscle groups we leverage in slalom). I saw more improvement in my skiing last season than any season previously as a result of the regimen she had me on. I HIGHLY recommend Jenny LaBaw for any athlete who is serious about self optimization in an effort to improve at our sport.
  6. @Carl, I ski'd with a gentlemen in our neighborhood this week (possibly the same guy) who was complaining of the same exact issue on his Strada bindings. I personally believe its a combination of his tendency to bend forward after coming off the second wake & the way his previous bindings clamped his feet to his ski like a vice. I had not trouble adjusting to Strada's either and never had the same issue.
  7. Very nice! I would love to see it the next time I am in Chile!!
  8. @lpskier Thanks for the tip, thats a fantastic idea. I'll give it a try when my new unfrayed handle comes in:)
  9. Interesting all concrete construction on a what appears to be a wooden foundation? Havne't seen that before but I bet its easy to keep that place cool!
  10. I also think a lot of this has to do with the speed you are carrying when you initiate your angle toward the gates. If my speed matches the boat speed when I initiate my angle towards the gate, I feel light on the line. Too little speed by default leads to a harder gate for me
  11. I use an arm-guard that tends to cause the handle to fray quicker. Any thoughts on how to attach an arm guard in a way that prevents the zip ties from prematurely fraying the rope?
  12. We agree @Shane, I was simply being intentionally vague with my commentary as to not state the obvious. Again, if I had the money I would work hard at doing something I was passionate about.... and would also fly to ski tourneys
  13. Wouldn't have guessed there were that many skis on earth, but at $1K+ a pop who knows. Either way, he's done a ton for the sport and I'm happy to see the guy doing what he loves. If I had the money, I'd travel to ski tournaments the same way.
  14. For the waterskiing aviator's in the bunch. I'm sure this flight demo was negotiated as part of the jet deal. I believe his actual tail # is G00DE
  15. They are fantastic if you can afford them. I would say they are worth it if you are the only person skiing on your course or if you only put them out for tournaments. If you are in a club or a neighborhood that has decent boat traffic, my personal thought is they cost to much to continually replace. They are nice on the ankles though
  16. I'm mostly curious what that music is at the end of the video???
  17. @Than, I'm only messing with you for the record. I alwas find your posts very informative and well thought out, even if they are insipred by your former Dungeons and Dragons days.
  18. I have a 67 RS-1 that I would let go at a reasonable price
  19. @Than, uhhh did you say Dungeons and Dragons Forum? jk
  20. Ok, so the steering wheel is a problem, not sure what they were going for there.
  21. Sadly, I googled her. Worse, I recommend you do the same
  22. Winner!!!!!!!! Yes, speed skiing is now my new favorite sport. Great find Horton, training starts tomorrow
