  1. As far as was indicated, (unofficially) there may have been some flex changes, but others on this forum have posted that there was no discernible difference. Just a graphics change really.
  2. I'll second what @KcSwerver has to say. I'd sell my S2 for $400 by the way.
  3. I also miss my HO Superlite X. I had one in a 67" size. It was a little too small for my line length and speed at the time. Anyone have a 69" Superlite?
  4. Anybody remotely contemplating a trade? Its Fun!!!
  5. Hah. Makes me wonder how many times I have done the same thing. Crap now I AM off topic.
  6. @MattP, I'm at 34 and 36 on 22 and 28 off lengths. Definitely opposite ends of the spectrum. @skibug, I figured the 2012 HO S2 would be an equal trade for a 2012 Prophecy. I know the later models are better. But I didn't want be greedy. Besides, who would trade the newest ski for a two year old model. I dunno, probably not me.
  7. Hey folks. I've got a 2012 67.5 HO S2. I really would like to try a 2012 Connelly Prophecy or a Goode Wide Ride. The S2 is in Perfect condition. I just like to try as many skis as possible, and being that it is my spare ski, I can play around with trading it. Anybody interested? RyanR M I t ch e l l ...At... A.o.l. C om
  8. Now, if I want to lighten this boat up, I'll just do the exhaust manifolds from Hi-Tek Marine and call it a day. I want to dial the new boat in and just go ski.
  9. Its the ALL FIBERGLASS 1996 Malibu Echelon with the EFI 320hp Monsoon engine. Perfect Pass Stargazer, 1000 hours, Heater, near perfect interior, great carpet, and removable rear seat. Haven't had it in the water yet as family responsibilities and weather have kept me away. Next Friday will be the first ride!
  10. Physically, it was not very demanding. I encourage anyone who has a stringer job to tackle on an 80's style boat, to go ahead and do it.
  11. Well, I found out how to fix my stringer issues in my Supra. All I had to do was unscrew the Throttle Knob and replace everything underneath of it with this:
  12. Haha! No, I started this thread two years ago. I've driven into the lake you ski at. But I was always traveling for work at the time. I live right down the road from my lake, partially due to this thread!! A lot has changed in the last two years I'll tell you.
  13. @Dchristman, its you Donny, isn't it? This is Ryan Mitchell. We were on the dock together last June for John Bickel's Fun Tournament.
  14. Beyond Lake Aldred I do not know. I read somewhere that there is a private community with a slalom course in Gettysburg. I just did a quick google search and it came up. Lake Heritage. I have no contacts there and have never been/seen it. I just found a youtube video of a Malibu Response haulin a kid on the lake. He has a ski on and the water looks iffy.
  15. Its impressive how cool everyone here has been with their words and actions in these situations. Folks trying to drive boats into us? Shooting at us? Why? Why? Why? Are people REALLY that clueless? I think folks that dumb don't usually own a boat very long. I hope!

  17. I went with a used Razor 2 for 2014. I wanted to try a Goode, but I didn't want to break my feet if I snap it in half. I have a special ability to snap things in half...

  19. With the handle in my hands, while I am waiting for the boat to pull up slack, I let go of the handle with my right hand and Sqeeze it in a fist to get all the "extra" water out of my glove. Then I grab the handle with my right hand and let go with the left. Then I squeeze water out of my left glove. I then keep the handle above the water until the boat pulls me up. Maybe I should get smaller gloves? Nah, I probably just need to adjust the fin to counteract the water I got in my gloves coming around 4 ball due to excessive counter rotation. That's it.
  20. @DW, I did a little studying on anode types, and I came to the conclusion that I would need a couple magnesium anodes as I am in fresh water. I see NO seawater, ever. I read that zinc is not active enough to corrode properly in freshwater. Thoughts?
  21. @wilecoyote, No worries at all! I like your perspective. I am basically on the same level as you, but I am into 22 off these days. The rooster gets you at 22 and especially at 28. Buuuuuut, and this is a big BUTT. I HAVE TO have some water in the foam. I've gotta get that out first. When I am running empty, the wake gets pretty good. Remove the rear seat and B.I.N.G.O!! Flattest wake I've ever been on! Its like the hull has a 100 pound threshold, and as soon as you can get that 100 lbs out, all is flat. If the wake would continue to get better every 100 pounds, well I'll be speechless. I am honestly not that worried about the stringers right now. I am going to test them, but I'm pretty confident the boat is solid. The floor is another matter altogether. Its gotta go. In the last few days, I have tried to investigate getting a new boat. One dealer I spoke too said that they didn't have a bank willing to lend on a boat any older than 12 years. Honestly, that flabbergasted me! Sounded lazy to me. If somebody wants to buy something... an you are a sales person, YOU FIND A WAY!!! Is this normal in the boat lending world? Regardless, If/as time goes by, I might be forced to fix up my existing boat anyway. One reason being the wife needs a new car all of the sudden. If I have to keep my boat through next summer, the parts I buy will be purchased to lighten the boat AND they will fit the new boat as well. (when I get it) I am going to try to continue to work like I am saving for a new boat, but when push comes to shove in Late February, I hope to have the cash to go either way. One good thing to come from this though. I wake up in the morning with some serious determination! @eleeski, Although it is financially ridiculous, an all aluminum engine would just be AWESOME!
