  1. So are the 67" skis out there yet??? I'm getting mighty impatient.
  2. I've been looking for a good way to bring up what BallOfSpray has done for me and this is as good a time as any I suppose. Because of BOS: (In the first season or two that I really began paying attention) I have been able to modify an old 1977 Ski Nautique for better Performance/Wake (I made a Wake Plate) I chose to buy an HO A1 based upon reviews here I bought an Acme Prop based upon reviews here BOS helped me to recover my ankle after the inevitable OTF while wearing HO Phantom boots I chose to buy HO EXO boots based on reviews here Bought my first pair of Masterline ProLocks because of this site. Because Of BOS: (present) Bought a Supra Comp TS6M because of reviews here Bought a Strada55 (Never would have known about them if not for BallOfSpray) Bought an Obrien Elite Quattro based on pics posted and reviews Found out from another member where a sneaky ski course was hiding and bought a cabin at that lake!!! Thanks @Sherwood!!! Bought the wife a Sixam Bought the wife an RS1 Boot I built a floating dock (your welcome Lowes) Renovated the Cabin (thanks ReBuild-It Store!) Bought USGear Handle based on reviews here Bought a PTM Edge Mirror Bought a Coefficient X SL Currently building my fixed dock This list goes on and on. Soon enough I will be thanking BOS for inadvertently helping me get a house Über close to my Lake. There have been other members of my family who have spent loads of dough on new skis, boots, and RTP's, because of the newfound access to a course within a reasonable proximity to their houses. If it was @Horton's intention to grow the sport through the invention of this forum....WOW. I cannot imagine it's true overall success! I'll be enjoying the chance to compete in my first tournament in 2013 as well! I'll be thinking of more.
  3. @AB, this link did. Have a search through the reviews at the bottom of the page I linked up below! Priceless. Somebody else posted this last winter I think... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Veet-Men-Hair-Removal-Creme/dp/B000KKNQBK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1356571276&sr=8-1
  4. Ok, I'm in my Thong now and was thinking... Since I have size XL hands, and wearing Masterline ProLock gloves, should I be skiing with a larger diameter handle. I currently have a 12 inch US Gear Pro V Handle with a diameter just shy of an inch. Should I size up? Anybody have an experience to confirm my leaning?
  5. @gregy I love my USgear handle and got it BEFORE I developed the issue in my right elbow. But the truth is that around the same time I began getting a WHOLE bunch more skiing time in. I also slipped backwards while fixing the floor in my cabin and slammed the right elbow pretty good. So I don't think my handle hurt me, but a combination of other occurrences must have contributed. Truth be told, my elbow is nowhere near as bad as some others on here have described. But I am not interested in it getting worse. I sure do like being able to pick up a coffee cup without pain still. I never thought I would see the day where that might come into question!
  6. Awesome, great suggestions guys! First I think I'll take Horton's advice and get on drugs. Second, I finally have a legitimate reason to put on that speedo! Third, once in the Speedo, I will contort my body into shapes its never been in before. Fourth, I cannot grow a ponytail... So a "Skullet" will have to do. @lakeaustinskier, I did notice that when I wore my wetsuit top, it kind of wrapped my elbow and held it together a bit. I wasn't as sore after those days. @AB, yeah I feel like my "tennis elbow" wants to be as cool as "golfer's elbow". It seems to try to be a little bit of both. I've been living with mild discomfort for a while now and been stretching for about two months. I've developed a sixth sense for when it is about to flare up too. If I feel a slight twinge of pain, I do a couple quick stretches and (of all things) my shoulder pops. Kinda like cracking a knuckle. The weird tight feelings in my elbow go away immediately. So far, the list seems to go like this: Get some medication for "after any strenuous activity" as a precaution. Mobic/Arnica Cream Gel Stuff Get a wrap that goes above AND below the joint and is only to be worn when "strenuous activity" is taking place. Have a stretching routine. Get on Steroids Wear a Thong
  7. I know it's been covered here before, but I'd like to hear all the suggestions for treatment of Tennis Elbow in one spot. Stretching during this off season has helped a bunch. Are there any wraps you guys have used? Anything that has benefited you? I'd like to hear every option as my right arm has been suffering and it feels like my biceps tendon wants to let go. This has always been my stronger arm... Now I have to actually stop holding onto that slack hit at oneball.... Crap.
  8. Snowboard, but strictly Alpine. Skinny boards, toes forward.
  9. Yup, this ski has the number scratched into the top sheet under the front boot. That's just super!
  10. I've got an MPD that is serial #0132. Does anyone think it may have been one of the first skis that Andy had a hand in building?
  11. I have dreamt that I was hanging off the side of my boat with the top of the Passenger side Gunnel tucked tightly into my right armpit. I was in my footin suit and was obviously footin off the side of the Supra Comp. The weirdest part was that I was doing 36MPH in the slalom course and on my way to four ball, nobody was in the boat and I was controling it's direction with my mind. And yes, I made all 6. From the looks of it, my dream took place in in the mid afternoon of an early July day with 65-75% cloud cover! It was sunny, but not overly so. Come to think of it, I never though about how the course wasn't even in the right place in my dream. It was sitting in a different part of the lake in an East/West Orientation. I'm just glad that didn't affect my visibility! Thats right folks! I have run 75off!!!...(In the Matrix)
  12. Anybody got fresh pictures of the new ski? Riding it? Posing with it? Hugging it?
  13. Seagrams Extra Smooth Vodka is oficially helping out. But...l. I will be back!!!!!!!!!
  14. @BraceMaker, hah! Yeah I was ripping apart the plumbing today. But it was a leak I was after. What should I tie the other end to?
  15. So I find myself getting very punchy lately, yet I feel very tired, but I have a lot of energy somehow and cannot explain it. It seems, I've got a fever, and the only prescription, is more skiing!!!!! What kind of spastic things are you all doing to get by, and make the time pass?
  16. I was going to say the same thing. I'd have ripped the tip of my EXO Bindings out of the ski, now that I have the Full Metal bar version...
  17. I have found the WheyBolic 60 Standard protein mix from GNC to be adequate and tastes really good with only milk. But, I would like to recommend to only buy the Chocolate flavor and nothing else.
  18. @Bracemaker. You bet! And all the back hair that just so luxuriously flows down with gravity as I shed that final layer! Nobody told me that hair was migratory! I am so happy to already be married I just can't tell you... I guess at this point, I must be trying to look "almost cool" in the photos my kids will be looking through in 20 years!
  19. @Bracemaker, yeah sharing is in no way a thing that we did for more than a month the first summer. We moved from being Wally's to cottage course skiers pretty expediently. I'm a glutton for gear, and have more vests than needed. I just like the look of the original Syndicate Vest. Anyone gonna sell me one?
  20. @tfriess and @FrankS, you kids are funny. The best way to remove a pullover is to shove either one of your hands into its own armhole, then reach down to the bottom hem of the vest. With one arm inside and gripping the bottom, you can easily yank the vest off. This gives you a ton of leverage with either shoulder. I'm no smarty pants, because I learned this by reading (or looking at the cartoon pictures of) the motions I just described, that were written/printed on the inside of an oneill vapor comp vest i've got. It was really funny reading it. I was on the boat with my brother in-laws standing around. We were all sharing one vest back then. One of us was like, "what's all this STUFF written in here and why"...... Oh.... That's how you do it...
