Looking at towing a Malibu response txi long distance. It has a custom Malibu trailerable cover. Any concerns with leaving the cover on to tow it?

I’m looking at buying an ‘18 TXI. Owner says it’s had zero issues. Has this problem been resolved? Does it affect only certain boats? The one I’m looking at has a monsoon. Has this issue been with a specific engine model and if so is it the 6.0 monsoon?

Anyone know how much this should cost for a ‘12-‘16 txi?

I’m considering buying a boat out of state. The owner is another tournament skier, several ballers (who I don't know) know the owner, the boat’s history and have personally skied and driven the boat. From the communications I've had, I feel really comfortable that the seller is honest and the boat is ready to roll and in good working order. Interested in thoughts on the following: 1. I’d like to avoid having to fly down to inspect it and considering asking the owner to show me a water test on face time or something (I’d never do this with a non-skier but it feels different somehow in this small ski world); 2. Title transfer/payment—if I choose to do this all remotely, how do I wire payment and get the title transferred without being there to ensure it all goes okay; 4. Shipping—I’m considering U-ship to transport it. Should I look for a flatbed option or have them just tow it back; 4. Anything else I should be thinking about? Thanks.

Looking at 2015’ish lxi. . Assume two identical boats and one has 800 hours and another has 400 hours. How much should the extra 400 hours affect the price/value?

My 13 year old daughter skis on. 2016 63.5” vapor. She is 105 lbs and 5’6”. She’s close to running her 28off/32mph pass. Back when she was 10 and much smaller she tried a 62”d3 arc and struggled to run her opener after several sets on it. Fast forward and she sees many if not most of the top girls on an evo and wants to try one. If I go for that how long should be try it out before she decides if it is working for her or not. I don’t think her ski is holding her back or that a new one will have some immediate improvement but I’m open to letting her try something else. Suggestions?

I’m considering that same Model. Is tracking an issue with this boat?

Mine is within 1-2 hundredths per segment and within 6 buoy tolerance virtually every time and when I ski zero off it feels very similar yet not completely identical. What I haven’t figured out is how to match up abc-123 settings. I don’t ski ZO or consistent conditions enough to know how to choose in pp to replicate.

No sales tax on used boats in MN unless from a dealer. Only sales tax on the value of the trailer.

2015 Malibu Response TXI 400’ish hours and trailer. Assume very good condition and many options Including ZO but no Bimini. Sold from a dealer so I would have to pay sales tax. Not sure how being one model old (which is what I want) affects the price. Thanks.

Looking at a 12-16 TXI. Is anyone aware of video of the wake at various speeds or willing to post one? Looking to upgrade but take lots Of kids skiing and want to make sure it’s good for them and also at 22 off for lots of The guys I ski with.

I bought two different used systems by going on ski it again, finding an old Boat that has a working system and then offering to buy the system alone from the seller figuring that the seller would not get much extra for it with selling the boat.

I will call perfect pass support too, but please help me figure out this issue. My head unit powers off and back on every time I hit a wave. I have checked the ground (which goes straight to the negative battery terminal). It was a little loose so i thought that was the problem but it is now tight so that is not it. I had a broken positive battery terminal connector, so I figured that being loose was the problem. I replaced that and it is not it. No other electrical gauges are having a problem. I have not looked at the power connection yet as it is a little harder to get to, but that is my next guess. But before I do that does anyone have any suggestions? For background, the system has worked flawlessly for 2+ years and just recently it started doing this and the problem, while somewhat intermittent, appears to be related to the boat hitting waves/bouncing and is occurring more often. Thanks.

Wondering if you can put any adults in the front of a txi for an idling cruise without putting the bow under. We are on a public lake and wondering if the open bow would actually give us any more space for entertaining than in current closed bow. Thanks.

My PP w zbox keeps losing power over and over often after hitting a wave. I’m guessing a loose connection somewhere. Where should I check first? Also my gps lock is taking longer now than it used to. Maybe related to above but appreciate any suggestions.

Looking for comments on this boat. I recall thinking it had a big wake at slower kid slalom speeds. I’d be upgrading from a 98 Malibu echelon with pp and zbox.

Our course arms are sagging in the middle as the foam is water logged. Any suggestions for what to use on the inside of the middle section that won't get water logged but will create the right amount of float to keep the arm straight? Thanks.

I have a small 13' Boston Whaler for my daughter. I want to build a small and simple canopy for the lift it sits on. I'm thinking of a 15'x8' rectangular frame with a custom canvas cover pulled taught inside it with grommets every foot and rope or bungee going around the frame every foot. I'm thinking no supports inside and just tip one side a few inches higher than the other so water drains. I'm trying to decide on what to use for the frame. A cheap and easy option would be galvanized threaded pipe. Does anyone have other ideas of what I could build the frame out of that won't cost too much? Or other ideas on how to do this. Thanks.

I'm looking to help a friend find a new slalom ski package (ski, front boot, rtp). He is mid 40's 5'5 and under 140 lbs. He mostly free skis but is looking to start skiing the course. He is a decent free skier and skis at mostly 32mph. When he gets into the course he'll need to slow down. He wants to spend $500 or under and needs bindings in for that too. He's open to new or used ski. Thanks for any recommendations.
