  1. They are going to fix them at the end of the season so it is all good.
  2. Haven't talked to them yet but I am going to ask them to replace them. They had the old skins on the seats they replaced so I have no idea how they got it so wrong. So my question is if the solution they offer is to fix the wrong color (cut it out and put the correct one in) should I accept that? I had that done once at another place and the seams around the "fixed" part tore out years before any other seam. No idea if this is what they will suggest but want to be prepared if they do. Would appreciate comments from anyone with some experience with vinyl.
  3. Got the four pieces back and picked up the boat today to find out colors don't match st all. New piece is on top and existing piece is on the bottom. They exchanged light tan for the existing dark grey. I will call the owner tomorrow. Last time I had a single accent color replaced elsewhere the seams around the new color went much faster than anywhere else so I am really not interested in them "fixing" these now. Business to remain nameless for now. The boat is now ready to hit the water and it took them two months to get these done the first time in the dead of winter. What would you do in this situation?
  4. Has this chart been updated yet to reflect zbs? If so does anyone know where to find a copy of it?
  5. Do you use a masterline handle? My hand problems pretty much disappeared after I switched to masterline. Also started holding it in my fingers more than my palms.
  6. Traveled with a trick ski for the first time. Had it in a sleeve, with padding taped to both ends and stuffed securely in a sportube with gear around it. I just opened it up today after getting home last night at 12:30am to find one of the edges looks crushed for about 1.5 inches along one side. I have a call into Southwest but I expect I will find that since I didn't find it until I got home I will be out of luck. I have to think no one was manning the luggage counter at 12:30 last night, but not sure that will help me. Any tips about what I might be able to do to get some compensation for this would be appreciated. Thanks.
  7. I'm looking at upgrading my PP to stargazer w/ Z-box. Any idea how the upgrade above works with Zbox?
  8. I personally know a large group of slalom course skiers likely to come try their first sanctioned tournament this summer and zbs is the only reason it will happen. None of them will come close to impacting anyone at the top of the rankings list. Maybe there is a way to address how this new rule impacts the top skiers without eliminating it as an option for newer skiers.
  9. I will be flying with a trick ski for the first time soon. I have a sportube 3 I use for my slalom. Any suggestions on how to pack/what to us to transport a trick to keep it safe in transit?
  10. Yea 5-6 ft depth is minimum. We have keel sailboats on our lake. It's big.
  11. I guess I was thinking a line sitting on the bottom had less chance of being snagged by a fishing line than one floating up. I don't fish so I have no idea. My plan was to make the buoy lines about 6' long. Long enough to pull the course off the bottom and therefore keep the buoy lines tight but far from harms way of the boaters whose only goal seems to be to destroy the course.
  12. 7-10 ft. Will have portable on bottom so can follow mainline to locate buoy lines.
  13. I suppose for buoy lines who cares if nylon stretches, right. Any reason not to use that type of line here?
  14. I will be using a portable course as a semi-permanent course this summer. When I drop the course to the bottom I want to buoy lines to sink to the bottom too. We have lots of fisherman and I think they will get snagged if they float up from the bottom. Most of the poly rope I have found floats. Any suggestions on what to use for buoy lines that will hold up to being in the water but won't float on its own?
  15. Has anyone used the radar branded caliper?
  16. I believe the insurance is secondary to your own personal coverage even for tournaments. Can anyone confirm this?
  17. What are the references to nationals at mystic?
  18. Question--how far should the rear foot toe be from the back of the front binding. Setting up new bindings for my daughter. Vector front with aluminum radar rtp. Looks like I should snip off a little of the front of the rtp so her rear foot can be closer to the front binding. With a small foot and only one size rtp it means her feet are much further apart than if I were in the same set up. Thx.
  19. I'm getting some of the seats on my 98 Malibu Echelon recovered. I have them doing the driver's seat (bottom only), passenger seat (bottom only), and the back seat (bottom and backrest) for four pieces total. 3 colors. Quote is $1,450. Trying to determine if I'm in the right price range? I've never had to recover seats before, so I'm curious if this sounds about right or not. Thanks.
  20. She is on a lyric now. It fits and skis great, but I'd like to see her in something with a more robust release system.
  21. I am considering buying a size 8 (smallest size) radar vapor boot for my daughter. Her feet are only the equivalent of a women's size 7 and men's size 5. She has pretty narrow feet. I tried her in a profile boot but there was way too much volume in the boot. Vapor seems a lot narrower, the bottom lace can be cinched down hard, and I can add a thick superfeet insert. Is this a bad idea? I'm not ready to put her on a reflex and I don't want to go to Wiley's.
  22. Right across town from me...The dealer is polar chev based on our lake (white bear lake).
  23. Is there a good gps location marking app that can be used for marking the location of each buoy in iorder to make it easy to locate sub buoys when putting buoys back on?
