  1. Is an open bow a requirement for you? It seems that way reading your post...how many people are usually with you each time you get on the water?
  2. So it's not a skiing picture but it's a step towards the addiction  We had 6 month pics done of our boy Brooks a couple weeks back. Looks like I'll be starting him out RFF based on his grip in the coming years! http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn189/dtm8119/13217172_1189462081098110_1335147252010498629_o_zpszjhyppoq.jpg
  3. I have 8.004. I asked PP last year if there was anything newer and they said 8.006 was current but didn't necessarily say it would make that much of a difference to update it when I asked... "We added the ability to switch over to the "simple slalom" mode available in the Wake Edition system, and made it a bit easier to move around between the various slalom modes. But there were no technical changes as far as the functionality of how the GPS Slalom mode works. Aaron Adams"
  4. Kids looks to be super pumped...enjoy!
  5. My dad always joked that the neighbors were going to call Child Protection Services on him each spring we got out skiing early after ice out.
  6. @WBLskier - shoot the people at Ski-Doc an email. It sounds like they have one available that they sell but is not on their website quite yet.
  7. @ToddL - how old was he when you started him out on the skimmer?
  8. I hear ya @MS - I swear we had 50-60's for weeks until ice out, then mostly crap since then. Spring just playing games with us (like usual) http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn189/dtm8119/2016-04-02_zpssllkvp1s.jpg
  9. Not much info here but might be worth inquiring about... http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/boa/5499292074.html
  10. About 14" of ice remains. Should be skiing in late March if the long range forecast is halfway accurate
  11. Pretty light year for me ski gear wise - probably a new set of Vapor BOA gloves and I might try a RTP this year vs. a double boot setup that I'm on now for fun I'm putting a motor on my lift too - can't wait!
  12. Are you set on a V-drive or are you able to make a direct drive work? How many bodies do you plan to have in the boat at a time?
  13. For you guys running a rear toe plate - are you able to mount it to the Radar sequence plate? Or do you mount the front boot + RTP separately?
  14. Ahh - turkey and two stroke smell. Like Peanut butter and Jelly
  15. What boat is it that you are retrofitting?
  16. Take a look here...nice little history write up.. http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=29236 "The 1991-1994 MasterCraft ProStar 190 was 19’5” long, 85” wide, weighted about 2,450 lbs" Can't help you with the trailer part though. I think a safe assumption would be 1k lbs. There might be a sticker towards the tongue that states this (if it's still legible).
  17. Nice work! You picked a great day to finish the season off. It was great to meet and see you guys out at New Germany with Jack a few times. Here's to many more next year!
  18. @Orlando76 - my wife and I are currently expecting as well (baby is due today actually!) I've got this thread bookmarked for some ideas... http://www.ballofspray.com/forum#/discussion/comment/106175 Looking forward to skiing next year with him/her riding shotgun.
  19. @6balls - Best of luck! We've got to get together next year and ski sometime.
  20. Not sure if you've seen this thread on Teamtalk but this guy may be able to give you some tips and lessons learned on the conversion if you decide to go that route... http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=57937
  21. Put me in the camp also of having to turn and look across the lake on my offside turn. For some reason if I don't do that I will sometimes stall out or get a bit of tip rise
  22. Interested to hear how the boat skis with it!
  23. @MS Ack ack a dack...
  24. I'm 5'11" and 175-180lbs and ski on a 67" Vapor. Although I never tried a 66", the 67" rips for me.
  25. Got out for a set this weekend and was able to get some still shots free skiing. I generally free ski at 28 off, and in the course I dabble at 15-22off. Self critique - I think my stack is ok after the turn and up until the first wake but I need to hold my position just a tad longer as I'm losing angle/position and catching a little air after the 2nd wake. Handle could be a little bit lower/closer to my hips too Any thoughts/tips/suggestions? Here's a mix of some of the good and bad...
