  1. @ToddF I was told by a HO insider that the surface area of the 67.5 A1 and 66.5 S2 are very close.
  2. Jody, the phone number has been busy when I have called this morning. My number is two eight one, 979-5117. I also have a question about an older Morse throttle handle. Thanks, David
  3. Jody, I just sent you a text.
  4. Thank you for the responses guys. @6balls phrased it best "money out of the box". I don't have a lot of time on the water to test out different fin settings so choosing a ski that is money out of the box would probably be good for me.
  5. John, Thank you for the latest ski review. Fellow Ballers, I'm wondering if you have a favorite ski you tested that performed well (35-38off 34mph) and your final fin adjustments were closest to stock?
  6. @dtm8119 Nice skiing and with the advice already posted, those improvements will pay dividends in the course. One item I wish I had mastered before running the course is standing correctly on the ski. Jodi Fisher first noticed in my stance and others have reinforced, try to have your hips square to the tip of the ski. In other words, try to have the distance between your right hip and the tip of the ski be the same as the distance of your left hip to the tip of the ski. This will help you be balanced on the ski and the ski will work so much more easier for you. Good luck and have fun!
  7. @Stevie Boy, did you ski on an earlier model S2 and if so what differences do you feel? Thanks.
  8. I think the proposed rule change is a good, harmless way to decrease the anxiety for the kids and those new to the sport. Please vote for it.
  9. @ToodF Todd, I am about 10 lbs. lighter than you and went from a 67 A1 to a 2011 66.5 S2. I was told by a reliable source at the time that the surface area of a 67 A1 and 66.5 S2 are about the same. I am more consistent on the S2 and increased my PB a little bit. I ski at 34mph and tournament average of 2ish@38. The thing I love about the S2 is if I mistakenly get on the back foot exiting my offside, the ski keeps moving and I get cross course and stay is the pass. I am itching to try the 2014 S2 with the new flex, softer than the earlier S2.
  10. A well known legend of our sport told me a moto X mantra, "You've got to know when to let go of the handle bars". I am fortunate not to have had any leg/ankle injuries - Double rubber (15-35off); double Stradas (22-38off) two seasons; and now on Reflex with R style. My new philosophy on bindings - the tightness of fit should not impact the ability to release.
  11. I know its a good day when little man is singing around the turn islands.
  12. Thank you to all involved in working the event. My 10 year old had a fun time watching the action and meeting the skiers. Chris, Nate and Regina are great ambassadors of our sport and very patient with my son's questions and autograph requests!
  13. @Stevie Boy Did you go from an older S2 to the 2014?
  14. A ski that will keep moving out of the turn and get me cross course even if I'm on my back foot too much.
  15. Is it invitation only to come and watch them ski?
  16. For those that would like to watch the event in person, just show up at LOK at noon?
  17. @alexm Don't retire your S2 just yet. You may still like it over the A3. I've been on the S2 for two seasons and tried the 2013 A3 this summer, and now back on my S2. I felt more balanced on the S2, 34mph 22-35off.
  18. I too was impressed that the truck was lifted at all. Just think if the board between the trailer hitch and ski was longer and simulated a skier standing on it. Perhaps the ski would survive :)
  19. Anyone have details on who will be skiing?
  20. @KcSwerver Thanks for the suggestion, Masterline has up to size 10
  21. Does anyone have a source for an aluminum front reflex plate size 12? It appears aluminum has fallen out of favor for G10 and carbon, I'm curious as to why? Thanks.
  22. Folks, I'm considering going to a reflex setup with R-style rear boot. I would appreciate any guidance with regards to the choice between the front classic shell and white cuff shell. Many thanks!
  23. We have a boat waiting for us on a lift. So at least after a long drive we just drop the boat in the water and ski. Traffic is too heavy after work, so typically ski Friday - Sunday. We live 10 minutes away from a private ski lake and get to ski there sometimes.
