My kids B1&G2 started skiing tournaments last August, so it will be their first Regionals. We will be there sometime Thursday. Never been to the site before, heard it is nice. 9+ hour drive from the Houston area.
Just in case the bros are taking requests - a 38off spin it to win it contest 2012 edition. The first and odd numbered passes are a traditional pass with gates. The even numbered passes are done in the opposite direction -entry gate then left side turn. Would need extra skier balls and may be difficult to setup if they have a deep lake and floating course.
Seth Stisher wrote a great article in the July 2009 WaterSki Mag p.57 "Maximize Your Stance" that talks about boot setup - location on ski, spacing between boots, pivoting boots.
Per Horton's comment "When you realize that AWSA has roughly 1/2 the membership it did on 1997", does anyone know if AWSA has done "exit surveys or interviews" with folks that have left AWSA to find out why?

Bonty88, I got my 11 year old daughter (she is on the petite side - 85 lbs) a HO Team A1 62" last May to replace an old 62" Kidder redline and she went from running the mini course to the full course at 24.9 mph by August. Needless to say she loves it! The ski is rated up to 120 lbs.
I came across a short article in the May 2011 Waterski magazine page 75 - Weed out Wheelies, Four quick tips from Nate Smith. Good stuff - check it out.
The Ski Jam was a fun event and special thanks for hosting a Class C for the rest of us. I mentioned to Kelvin that I would be willing to pay to ski a set under the lights just to experience it. For instance this year, the skiing ended before night fall on Friday night. Anyone interested next year? Could be a good fund raiser for the web cast etc.
