  1. @foxriverat...while still holding the tow rope.
  2. @UWSkier I used to have issues with heel sliding around on the wet foam foot bed of the RTP. Then I saw a video of Andy Mapple talking about his setup. He used stair tread anti slip on his RTP. I tried it years ago and haven't had a problem since.
  3. A few years ago I found these old waterski patches on Ebay. The Ski Supreme one made it onto the sleeve of a fleece. The '69 Nationals patch is really cool. Just haven't found something to put it on yet. As an aside, those 2 ski trick passes are bad ass. Too bad the AWSA point values (or lack there of) have essentially phased them out.

  5. The Fonz looks relevant again with shorter shorts being back in style. Leather jackets not so much.
  6. Hope you complimented the bar manager. Maybe that is a way to spread the sport. Ask the bar tenders at your local establishments to play something from this before/after the football/baseball/hockey/basketball game. https://www.youtube.com/c/waterskibroadcasting
  7. Sorry Wish, gotta do it. Its the teacher in me. "Legit". Great skiing!
  8. Spray Nine will kill the mold/mildew. No bleach in it.
  9. Surface tricks are now separate tricks. 180s 360s 540s 720s FF and BB are all different tricks with allowable reverses.
  10. @S1Pitts Am I missing something? You have to remove the shaft seal to verify it is centered. How are you doing this on the water? Or are you starting with the presumption it is already centered in the shaft log? Trying to imagine how water/trailer would affect it regardless.
  11. It boggles my mind that people were able to do tricks in those long skinny 54s. Seems like those long tips would catch water and dump you quite easily.
  12. There is a TON of old Cypress Gardens footage on this person's Youtube channel.
  13. "Nancy gets a kick out of doing as many of the men's tricks as possible." Whoever wrote the script for this would crap his pants if he saw today's female trickers doing all the men's tricks
  14. I take no credit for this. It just popped up on my YouTube. The intro reminds me of a Tom and Jerry cartoon. Hello 1950s! Interesting notes: Looks to be old slalom course dimensions. Those trick skis are narrow and long!
  15. My daughter has very small hands. When she 12-13ish I got her a pair of very small gloves from Radar. I believe they were a women's XS. The Radar site shows Lyric gloves in XS and XXS but do not look to be available currently. Their website also lists TRA kid gloves. Not sure about sizing but looks like Performance also carries them. Might be worth a phone call to measure sizing. https://radarskis.com/products/total-radar-awesomeness-glove https://www.perfski.com/ski/ski-accessories/waterski-gloves/radar-2022-tra-gloves.html
  16. Open ocean (on that day) looks like a walk in the park compared to the first video.
  17. Thanks @Broussard. That begs another question. Why is there an international division at the US Nationals?
  18. Regarding the schedule of events above. What are the IW and IM divisions?
  19. I would also be interested in the response you get. SG w/ Zbox. Not sure which version. Seems to drop out in trick mode or slalom mode if we spin rather than drop. Most frequently it drops out as we cross back on our own wake to get back into our boat path. When tricking not a big deal, but in slalom its right where you need the speed to dial in as the skier is getting ready to pull out for gates. We run north south. 2003 Response LXI.
  20. I bet you could do it with the right technique, but it would be hard.
  21. Sorry. Can't resist. "there" and "here".

    Re-power

@Ski2000 Kids' reactions on the video are priceless. Let's all be honest. As grown men we might suppress those looks on our faces but in our heads we are reacting the same way.
