  1. For those who can decipher this better than I, how many points for each of these runs?
  2. The fact that 2 ski line tricks are worth less than 1 ski line tricks is BS. Getting your foot over the line is one thing. Getting it over the line with a ski attached is another. (Especially in those days. Those old skis are heavy.) Sorry, but I dig this stuff way more than flips.
  3. @MarcusBrown "I've been running that since '01, bitches". Hilarious.
  4. @slvrbulit I will be gone by then but I appreciate the offer.
  5. I will be near Cooperstown next week for my son's baseball tournament and I was looking to ski while there. I looked at the website for Pangea Puddle, but the website does not look like it has been updated in some time and it was not processing email on the contact form. I left a message for George Vosburg's cell but have not heard back yet. Any other suggestions/sites? Thanks in advance.
  6. I have an 03 Outback. Great boat. That being said I cannot really comment on the 02 as I know the boat was updated in 03. I did notice that the 02 was the only Outback that was not USAWS tournament approved but I have no idea why its not on the list. The carb'd Assault on mine has been plenty to pull long line footers.
  7. @2Valve Ski boat in the AM, pontoon in the PM. Nothing beats the ski boat/pontoon combo!
  8. Sunbrella cover. Added 2 pole vents. Boat sits on a lift under a canopy. Always dries fine.
  9. Impressive no doubt, but let's see him do those tricks on 2 skis.
  10. Clearly I am not going to argue with @twhisper however, I think this photo serves as proof as to why there is confusion about this. This image is Lucky Lowe and his legs look pretty straight. Apologies for the grainy image. It is a screen shot from youtube probably from a VHS tape.
  11. I saw this on CL by chance as I was looking around. Pink American Skier. I did not anticipate liking it as much as I do. Not sure what adjective suits it best....classy, handsome, striking, elegant, different? I like it! Imagine how it would look if that teak was scrubbed and re oiled! https://images.craigslist.org/00M0M_6X7bYpFOXXE_600x450.jpg https://images.craigslist.org/01414_jl2CQmSiuDK_600x450.jpg
  12. I always get excited when there are new posts on this thread.
  13. The points on the distributor cap on my boat get oxidized regularly. I have to clean them yearly otherwise it will cause mis-fire, cough, sputter, lose power.
  14. Schnitzer wearing glasses?!? I cannot even imagine making that work. Incredible.
  15. Cool video. I enjoyed the "floss" at the end. However, the music is irritating.
  16. @Hallpass agreed. At -41 or-43 no one is kicking anyone's ass. 1/2 bouy takes it.
  17. I go out of my way to avoid the blue loctite. (Auto spell wants to change that to lactate!) It was on a previous ski of mine. That stuff along with scale build up over time makes it hard to remove the screws. I was worried about stripping the screw or fouling the insert. Now I use rubber washers to prevent screws from loosening.
  18. @GregHind learning to barefoot long line off of a knee board brings back memories! I learned the same way behind a 17' Lund with a 70HP Johnson.
  19. Go with an Outback. Solid boat and solid ski pull. I know it isn't a Maser Bu Tique but it was an AWSA approved tournament boat. It's functionality is simple and straightforward. I have an 03. I don't think the hull changed from 03-12. PM me if you want more details.
  20. I have not been to O'ahu but have been to Maui and Kauai. There is (was?) skiing on the river in Kauai. Nothing on Maui. Regardless, if I moved to Hawaii I would give up skiing in a heartbeat and go surf.
  21. Surf boats on a 220' wide lake? Won't that trash the shoreline rapidly? 210 units sharing 2 little ski pits and 2 days a week is no wake? Only allowing 10 minute sets? This just does not sound appealing regardless of what kind of recreation you may want to pursue on the lakes. There are about 200 lake/channel front homes on our lake but it is 375+ acres.
  22. The side profile, the bow profile, and the color/lines where the underside of the bow meet the side on the Nautique strangely reminds me of a futuristic version of a Glastron tri-hull.
