  1. Whatever that was must have been good because it is already taken down.
  2. I use something like this. Prevents foot from sliding around. Picked it up from an Andy Mapple video regarding ski set-up. Cut to size. Sticks pretty well even in water. Only replaced once in 7-8 years.
  3. I find these posts so hard to read. Capitalization, punctuation, and grammar please.
  4. Is the Camaro Blacktec 2.0 thicker than the previous 1.5 or is it just a new version of the same thing?
  5. Used to play this one for my son as a reward when he was potty training. Go potty, get to watch the video. In fact, when I just searched for it to attach it here he heard the music and came running down the stairs to watch it with me again. Pretty cool. He is 15 now (and potty trained). Thanks southern Oregon crew.
  6. Now drivers through the course will blend in with stand-up-as-you-drive I/O Wallys.
  7. It's a gamble no matter which route you go. I have a padded travel bag for my ski. I got pipe insulation tubes, fitted them around the edges of the ski, and then used some string to tie them tight. Vest , towels and other soft items then filled the other voids in the bag to give it more padding.. I also wen the route of UPS shipping the ski in its original shipping box back and forth. I had no problems in either case, but plenty of skis have been damaged by airlines and UPS i would imagine.
  8. @Bongo both. That helps. Thanks.
  9. wtf?!? this thread went sideways in a hurry.
  10. Can someone explain how overall scores are calculated? Looks like trick slalom and jump scores are multiplied by some factor and then added. As well, I was watching collegiate nationals a bit last week. How are team scores compiled?
  11. A quick search of IWWF website did not shed any light. What is Series 1, 2, etc? Is it similar to age divisions or is it based on average scores? Which would be equivalent to Open division?
  12. Hydroturf. Way cheaper than sea dek and you'll get it quickly. Buy a sheet and use the old one as a template to cut. Easy job. Sea dek used to have how to videos on youtube for removing old pads.
  13. I wonder if the wetsuit was worn primarily for protection upon the dismount.
  14. This thread is so long. Apologies if this has already popped here. So many of these posts are of somebody having a bad day. Nice to see one end up triumphant once in a while.
  15. I was thinking of these as a joke, but i guess they still make them.
  16. @rrskier I found an old pair of those blue Casad gloves in our shed just last weekend. I thought to myself "I cant believe we still have these. They are F'n old" They have to be circa mid to late 90's.
  17. That oxidation that builds up on the cap and rotor can be cleaned off with some wet/dry sandpaper if you don't let it go too long. I do this annually.
  18. Do the new boots still have the rubber behind the ankle? I love the Vapor boots but that is always the thing that fails first on an otherwise rugged piece of equipment.
  19. @Horton @eleeski I agree last 3 tricks: SLO both feet on ski, flip, SLO old school hurdle. But why would he do the same trick albeit two different ways? They must have been scored as different tricks at the time, right? I can't see see him doing it for repeat no credit.
  20. @Horton Yes super cool, which is why is caught my eye. @klindy so I suppose it was a faster way to do WLO it than wrapping the line around the ski leg?
  21. @dchristman He does SLO at 1:45 with both feet on the ski and seems to repeat it 2 tricks later by hurdling the line. Both turns were same direction. Were these 2 distinct tricks prior? Was there a rule change after neon pink shirts went out of style?
  22. Can anyone identify the trick Cory does in this video at the 1:49 mark? He essentially hurdles the line. I don't think it is SLO because he did that prior (same direction) and I believe you have to have both feet on the ski rather than hurdling the line. Not sure if it could be WLB and SLF in quick succession, but there is no landing or pause between to distinguish the two.
