  1. Skiing today I had a great 1st pass pulling out at the 55's but going back and forth I agree that at my 'level' of skiing I need the most consistency which would be going back to the glide via pull out when the transom passes through the 55's. The other way works too! Just less consistent.
  2. Wasting time is not part of the plan. I will let you all know following Friday's am Session!
  3. How many out there are pulling out with your ski at the 55s forgoing the glide and doing more of a turn buoy gate shot to get angle and speed into 1 ball? Timing issues, pros and cons with this? I have struggled with angle on 1 ball and getting into a hard lean from the glide stance and was going to try this Friday.
  4. I have the 2012 strada gloves and love them too!
  5. Good stuff guys, I will read the article ral! I have a few more questions about this so I am starting a new thread.
  6. @ski6jones this is on New Melones lake in the same county as Yosemite but down in the foothills near Sonora. @ Horton, ral and T8, this has been mentioned to me before. Someone called it 'feeding the line' or 'letting the boat take the handle'. Releasing early cause the ski to want to begin it's turn too soon....would you all agree with that? As mentioned I have only been in the course since last August.I only get out once a week pretty consistently but am super motivated to get better. I need to try all you guys mentioned thanks!! Ant thoughts on triaging what to work on while out for a day of skiing -one or two main things at a time?

  8. Thanks John! @ral I do have some video from yesterday but it was not zoomed this Friday I will get some better footage. In the video I see1) struggling with -off side stacked position, breaking at the wake, and not quite enough on the front foot. I have only been skiing the course since lat August. The 3 ball was about 8' from the shore so I was a little gun shy. The course got moved that afternoon.
  9. @skibug, yep in Cali all lakes are low. Course needs to be moved out. @ral -late likely.
  10. I love my impact vest and had to return it for a smaller one too -Mimaiskinautique rocks! Got a free shirt too!!
  11. I am getting a better leverage position after much on land training and many course attempts. Does this pic look like I am standing too hard on my rear foot?
  12. T8 make Sure you do physical therapy. Most back pain patients I have treated in the past 15 years have a history of ankle injuries that were not rehabilitated properly. Also make certain you go to a sports med place that knows how use a BAPS board 'REVERSED'. It is a special way this bio mechanical platform is used to normalize dorsi flexion and eversion (A Gary Gray invention -Guru). pm me if you have questions or want more PT perspective.
  13. We are in full on drought here in Cali, fires already going on. My pain today is perfect conditions and our 3rd bailed.........
  14. This looks way more high tech than the EZ cam, But is it worth another 200$ to capture the same end result? I was just getting ready to buy the Ez cam,...talk to me people!
  15. Our ski course sits in the cove pictured on New Melones lake Ca. We began skiing last Feb. and are now getting out weekly!
  16. Now that I look at them back and forth mine looks a little farther but in a good way!
  17. @OB yep under 200 original hours, and everything else!!! Here is a pic of a different ski thats also a 98
  18. This is still the coolest graphics Nautique ever produced!! I paid about a thousand extra for this one, but it turn out to be $ well spent and I never missed either because this was the 'right' boat for me!!
