  1. @AB Suppose you could just take a meat clever and lop about 1/2 or 3/4 inches off the toe of the back boot. Let me know how that works out....

    WSM

I have subscribed to WSM for almost 30 years and have never loved it more! Todd has taken the mag to a new high over his years - and a great guy, awesome skier who really understands our sport, and quite crazy - like most of us (or more). I don't visit the web version so cannot comment. I love having BOS for web content and the mags to pile up next to my bed!
  3. @ral - SWEET! I am so jealous dude! Nice powder....snow skiing in Chile is def on my bucket list....
  4. Web cast would not run on my Android tablet. I think I just need an app that would play it?
  5. @BrettAndrews Sorry to hear about your tendon tear. Last summer there were about 7 or 8 of us on here following each other's progress and methods for the same injury. Like yours, mine was a clean, quick tear without pain - until I tried to pull my foot out of the boot. If you wanna see the different methods our doctors and PT took, you can check the thread under subject "Achellies surgery" - I know spelling is off...lol Good luck with rehab!
  6. @scotchipman I am a bit new on Strada boots and still had them screwed to the G10 plate with the metal Strada plates. Just yesterday I put the boots directly on the G10. I had not put the G10 back on the ski yet (Goode ski using Dual-Lock) - so, I just checked the center hole to center hole distance and it was exactly 11.5". I have just the slightest gap between the two boots, maybe a 1/16th.
  7. Thanks @scotchipman Seems like there could be pro's and cons with either method. At 11.5" - if you have large feet, you may be further back than I am with mine also almost smacked together since I only run a size 9 boot. Maybe the poll just needs to be two choices, I Like Them Very Close or I Like Some Space? How are you measuring the 11.5"?
  8. For ballers who use dual boots (including Reflex with R-style rear) - how do you like to set the distance between them?
  9. For the price, I really like the e-z-cam. Contact @OB to see if he is still importing them.
  10. Just a guess as well...more than a hand full of years later before I was skiing(even though I'm an old fart). Was just figuring since it was about 10 years later before Bob LaPoint crashed through 38 Off, I was guessing 35 was just getting tested in 77.
  11. With @Jody_Seal dbl boots, but front foot goes in first, just seems easier
  12. @LeonL It always sounds great, but he simply makes it all up. He has a bunch of ski test write ups already done, then just grabs one after he rides a new stick. Give it a try, you could do it too!
  13. My PC was working fine with IE, but blank Forum page with Chrome. Just cleared Chrome history, and selected most of the cleaning options, and it worked fine again. Hope this helps.
  14. Pulled comment - was thinking of PP Pro, not Stargazer
  15. But, currently buried in sea weed. As soon as we raise a few bucks for herbicide, should be back in business eventually.
  16. Congratulations Chad! Well deserved after so many times coming close. Few have been right at the top in some of the toughest divisions so many times year after year as Chad has. And, I don't know any ameteur skier who has been such a positive ambassador to our sport as Chad has been! Way to go!
  17. I am on BOS a lot from work PC (off hours off course)...downloading Chrome does not hit the registry files, and therefore is not blocked by my company pc security which blocks loading programs. Definitely download and start using Chrome, fewer issues.
  18. What @oldjeep and @XR6Hurricane said with the World Cup gloves, except I like the full finger version. Stumble across these a few years ago and thought since they were so cheap they would not last. Instead, they hold up very well, and have just enough built in padding, never tear out chunks of skin like I did with Kevlar. Had same issue with ML Curves - not enough curve to prevent bunching in the palm. Might try the Radar Ergo because the fit and feel is great for my hands.
  19. Any recommendations for some sets near Tampa, maybe lessons too? Be there in October. Thanks.
  20. Ditto, I am also struggling to advance in 38 off, and 35 off, and 32 off .... :)
  21. 2007 RLxi - have to guestimate that it has about 600 hours, since I have had 2 ECU's go bad (lost the voltage output for the PP). Still looks almost new and runs like new. Hope to upgrade to TXi in year or so.
  22. @KcSwerver We all sleep, drink and EAT skiing, but looks like you carry that old adage a bit too far! Carbon doesn't digest well.....Glad you look a lil better in the second pic.
