  1. Also, a driver has to pay and have his MVR run every 2 years. What does a speeding ticket have to do with driving a boat in a tournament? A little on the touchy side but what does a DUI have to do with driving a boat on a private lake? I get it if the tournament was on a public waterway.
  2. They come and ski for the day at worlds but practice here for a month prior to the tournament!
  3. I think it looks better without the graphics
  4. The winch is in front of the bow stop???? Usually if the guide poles are above the rub rail you should be safe. Sometimes the crash pads are upside down. There should be more pad below the braces then above. If the bow is going under the crash pads you are way to deep.
  5. Yes, my last 2 trailers have been Phoenix and they are great, no carpet bunk damage or hull damage. All my boats have black hulls. One think I do is float the boat on and off and as mentioned before spray the carpet with tire shine. One thing I have noticed that others do is put the trailer in WAY to deep when unloading, never go so deep that the trailer guides go below the rub rail! This pushes the bow down and creates problems. I NEVER POWER LOAD my boat. If you notice in the picture the winch is mounted high which when winching the boat the last couple feet on to the trailer it actually pulls the bow up creating less pressure on the bow bunks. I
  6. FYI this not just a Nautique / Boatmate issue. I’ve seen MC’s at tournaments with the carpet destroyed.
  7. @Garn zoom in, the adjustment is the vertical slot for height. Don’t spend the ridiculous price for the liquid roller. WD 40 or tire shine works better. Agree, the black bunk caps are not good.
  8. I'm pretty sure it will almost be the same as the one in my pic. The nice thing about this one is its adjustable
  9. BTW, the black plastic bunk caps in the pic are not near as good as the pvc. Long story about this trailer. It came with the black bunk caps. I was not impressed. I only had this trailer while they were building my new boat.
  10. @dan1166 try not putting the trailer in as deep as you might think it needs to be. I also put WD40 or some sort of tire shine on the bunks from the axel forward to the tongue. Be careful and do not unhook the winch until the boat is in the water. On one of my trailers I bought the 4x4 pvc fence post covers and split them long ways and put them over the bunks. You can remove the carpet leave it on. I have a pic attached. You could also buy Bunk Boards which is a composite wood designed exclusively for trailer bunks and with no carpet. They have a web site.
  11. Has everyone forgot about Centurion? They built a boat below 40 k a few years ago and maybe built 30 before they gave up and most of those were promo boats.
  12. 45 to 50 seconds is about normal here in Florida depending on water conditions.
  13. The driver and throttle have nothing to do with the wait timer.
  14. The wait time starts as soon as the boat goes through the exit gates.
  15. 20 to 30 mph winds on Friday with higher gust. Saturday 10 to 15 which is still bad for that site.
  16. @Cnewbert i wonder if a piece of pipe insulation to tighten up the gap between the 2 upright rope guides would help? My Ski Doc has a place where it has a sticky spot in it that doesn’t help.
  17. @Kenboat get with Jeff at Silver Spray he will guide you in the right direction.
  18. @Kenboat get rid of the 1868. Not even good for a boat anchor. The prop was only on the 200 for less then 2 years. Either get a 654 or 668 which is what Nautique changed to from the 1868. The 422 will run lower RPMs then all the others but lacks takeoff power.
  19. Best cradle in the business. All you see in Florida.
  20. Also, if that’s 38 and 39 shouldn’t the skier be further up on the boat? Maybe it’s the lens.
  21. For 38 and 39 that is too far away. I would expect that to be maybe a 15 off distance.
