  1. i had a Ma terCraft for a long time , it was covered under warranty . i filled in the S and just gave the rest to the guy that bought the boat
  2. @jayski , can you elaborate? Are you worried that you are going to have frieght train pulls and not a dance with the skier? Our first tournament we had this past week and for some of the drivers it was their first time using it. I made sure that they understood that at least for this time it was a tool for the drivers to see where they were. It is far better than video for seeing where you are.
  3. as someone who hosts 4 or 5 a year my thought is @horton needs a panda for asking the question
  4. @MichaelGoodman , i have one . its fantastic
  5. +1 on the neorsurgeon only , do your homework there are good docs and not so good find the best . Just like boat driving most can get from one end of the lake to the other , but when your the one on the end of the rope it matters more. DON'T just go with who your primary doc has on their little chart. I was skiing again in 5-6 months but full strength didnt come back till the next year. My back feels great now , you just learn to listen to it more and keep it stretched and loose.
  6. @miskier it was perforated aluminum, 1/8 in thick with 1/2 or 3/4 in holes i believe. Picture pegboard in your mind
  7. Billy's Puddle , Burnips , Michigan I am so blessed to wake up to this every morning , except for the hockey one . I would rather be skiing in 80 deg. , but it's all good!
  8. @klindy , I like the thought of weighting the L scores to stay on longer than the 12 months . However if you lower the C scores to a 8 month time frame , for us in the north we will have zero incentive to participate in any tournament. I host 4-5 tournaments at my lake a year and have ZERO desire to change those to an L just so my score can stay on awsa ranking longer. You will experience a net loss of participation in tournaments. I host the tournaments as a way to 1: get a score , 2: hang out with my buddies and not necessarily in that order. You are right in the average not necessarily reflecting the true skiers ability, I ski 10-12 tournaments a year and only the top 10% of those scores are in my average. As far as the F scores go my example is last year I had guy's over to ski the night before a tournament. I skied pretty good, the next day same conditions , same two guy's in the boat ( both seniors) I missed my opener on my own site uugh. (probably mind wander thinking if I had enough gas/food/porta jons/is my wife mad all these people are over /etc. or something else for the event)
  9. I used to think that vision was the only thing, then I had @TFIN out last year and he's talking about early or late apex and starting to sound like one of my driving coaches. But then again he's really good at finding out what message you can understand. The rush coming into turn one when your two wide bumper to bumper is quite amazing. @Jody_Seal not sure if car racing is cheaper , it's usually a 1k weekend to race and that doesn't include hotel or if you wreck...
  10. @jordan12345 I have had every syndicate and wish I had kept my s2 , one of my favorites
  11. @MISkier , Billy's puddle unfroze earlier in the week and if your desperate to turn bouy's bleach your bu out and make the drive over. The MC is buried behind the snowmobiles in the barn. The bouy's are still in cause the owner is lazy.....or smart so he doesn't have to put them in when spring comes.
  12. @Swini holy crap! Mine was 6 months to dig, clay was so hard they spun the tires off the John Deere's pulling the pans and had to switch to an excavator and top load the pans. 6 months to fill, they finished after the rainy season.
  13. @Orlando76 20-25min depending on time of day and road construction
  14. @Orlando76 when are you coming? check the grandville holiday inn or others in hudsonville grandville area easy to get to the arena from there if it s still nice bring your ski and stop by my house
  15. @ballsohard , pro if your that , alpha if your at the beginning of life , omega if your twilight..... I'm on the alpha and lovin it and midlife , so take my advise as completly useless
  16. That part of the lake actually warms not too bad , we skied right by the arch in my malibu response at the time. It was pretty cool, have to really pay attention to the wind it was calm one minute then we were fighting 5 ft waves back to munising the next my wife was not impressed. If i remember right the surface temp was in the 70s I have pictures somewhere... The next day we did some wreck diving and the water temp at 102 feet down was 37 deg. It was a bit chilly
  17. @mfjaegersr PM me when the time is closer I am sure we can hook up on one of those nights
  18. @blagrata my '14 prostar said "MA TERCRAFT " for about 2 weeks till they gave me new stickers under warranty. plenty of jokes on the dock about that one...
  19. @zman the oildry technique is genius, what is the name of some of the off brands that you have found for $200-$250.? @A_B unfortunately the only thing I have found to work on the Phragmites is round up or similar, I make a trip around the lake on the quad every couple of weeks and catch them early so I don't have to use very much.
  20. @ikb yet another awesome track, cool car too When we were at nationals last year we drove through COTA in our rental , didnt let us on the track though..... @oldboyll that car is sweet too I'm thinkin @markn can take us all in his track prepped 911 though that car screams fast along with the driver
  21. @markn , gingerman in michigan Been to sebring for the 12 hrs a couple of times
  22. @markn i would love to come do an hpde down at sebring It is definitely just as addicting
  23. @ms dont get me wrong, i like the boat. Drove it for many tournaments this year, tracks amazing for jump and slalom. But as you pointed out the boats should not feel that much difference between them in 2018. A different letter probably would have helped but those tournaments are 1 round and done , no chance to expirement.
  24. @drago it isnt i expect a pb, but i at least expect to ski close to my average. The fact the first 19 nautique i skied behind was at states and the second was at regionals was garbage. It was so different at the ball, subsequently i did not go to nationals. I felt as if that boat was shoved down our throats. The first boat delivered to our area days before states. Again garbage if it doesnt feel the same or close.
