  2. Congrats Chet. WOW, Love it! See ya in a couple weeks in Mississippi. Greg
  3. I understand Mapple ran 1 a 43 yesterday in Mississippi Record . Also heard Regina ran 3 1/2 at 41 for a pending record.
  4. Enjoyed having them, they were polite, appreciative and just good kids. did good job waxing my trailer too.
  5. I'm 99% sure, however all Molds should be exactly the same. they are lazar cut. In years past, ( with all boat manufacturers), molds were hand made, thus, inconsistency. My guess is, it's the hydro gate mounting, and adjustment. A very, very, very small difference in the extension of the Hydro gate could make a big difference. ( I am not an employee of Nautique, I only am involved with the Big Dawg. ) But, I'll bet this is the case.
  6. Father time my friend, That's why these guys ski at 34 mph, not 36. We all know 36 is more difficult. The elite of our sport, ( THE PROFESSIONALS ) Ski at 36 mph. LOVE UM AND HAVE TONS OF RESPECT FOR THEM. The Big Dawg was started to give the average guys who chose to pursue education, families, careers and business opportunities, rather than professional water skiing. ( I Hesitate to call the Big Dawg skiers average guys, not even close) These guys have the passion, the dedication, the athletic ability, and desire to compete. The Big Dawg gives them a stage to compete, against the best in the World. ( NOT PROS ) To be the best, you must beat the best. Many of the BD guys are past and present National Champions, in their divisions, ( Mens 3, 4, 5 and MM mens ) But to truly be the best, 34 MPH skier, you must compete against all skiers over 35 year old, non pros, to be THE BEST. For the Big Dawg guys, it's not about the money, it's about the competition. The Pros, earn their living waterskiing. IN NO WAY IS THE BIG DAWG MEANT TO TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM THE PROS. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I LOVE THIS SPORT, I HAVE ESTABLISHED MANY VERY GOOD FRIENDS BECASUE OF THE BIG DAWG. PEOPLE I WOULD NEVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET, HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE BIG DAWG. THESE GUYS ARE GREAT INDIVIDUALS AND FIERCE COMPETITORS.
  7. Boy I'm having a hard time keeping my mouth shut.

  12. Just talking with Marc Shaw, he thinks this will be the most difficult Big Dawg in History to make the sweet 16, including all qualifiers and all finals through the years. Basically it will probably take 2 or more at 41 to be one of the top 8 seeds, ( with a good back up score, because there will be a couple ties at 2. therefore you need a good back up score like 5 at 39 or so) then to get into finals with cumulative scores, ( seeds 9 through 16 ) it will most likely take an average of 5 at 39 or better. Wow! the first Big Dawg, Chad Baker won it with 2 and 1/2 at 39. How things have progressed.
  13. How many times will 39 be run? About 1/2 of these guys have run 39 in record tournaments. Should be really interesting Entry list 1.Dave Goode 2.John Shealy 3.Lonnie Harris 4.George Levien 5.Tim Huston 6.Kyle Jones 7.Chet Raley 8.David Miller 9.Joe Mccreary 10.Jeff Rodgers 11.Charles Mueller 12.Tim Henderson 13.Don Aschenbrenner 14.Jeff Milford 15.Bruce Dodd 16.Ward Mclain 17.Mike Dehlinger 18.Jed Blackburn 19.Jerry Goodson 20.Chad Baker 21.Chris Clark 22.Eric Kelly 23.Jason Staab 24.Scot Jones 25.Harald Hintringer 26.Michael Robinson 27.Gene Levines 28.Seth Stisher 29.George Obser 30.Todd Johnson 31.Chad Scott 32.Ben Favret 33.Kyle Tate 34.Jay Leach 35.Todd Kuykendall 36.Mike Baldwin 37.Marc Shaw 38.Kevin Bishop 39.Thierry Malhomme 40.Drew Ross 41.Rich Foster 42.Jason Seals
  14. I have em both, Nano One and Nano One XT. Love both skis, When I have a bad set, I get the other ski out. I think switching skis makes me focus more. Usually first several passes on either Nano One or the XT, are very good, after a few sets, I think I just go out and go through the motions, without focusing.
  15. canton ms. I believe his lake is 1200 I've seen this lake, wow, they do ski it. 1200 feet. not me.
