  1. @Dacon62 Yes, good catch - I meant to say Indmar there.
  2. @RAWSki I doubt they would offer PCM power plants in any Nautique products. I could see them potentially utilizing Indmar engines in Supreme or Centurion however if capacity at PCM is an issue.
  3. Scorebooks from 1991-2021 are available on USA Water Ski.https://www.teamusa.org/USA-Water-Ski/Collegiate-Water-Skiing/Nationals-Scorebooks
  4. The numbers say that 1994 NLU in their rout creating 1,335 points of separation between themselves and USL. Team members included Tom Muir, Darin Montgomery, Mark Lane, Freddy Krueger, Chris Sullivan, Chris Schmauch, Stuart Bunton, April Coble, Kathy Robbins, Anahi Arbaizar, Nikki Pendergraft, Melanie Perrault, and Karen Truelove. Is dominance defined by pure team performance, or should individual event wins and placements be considered as well? Alabama and Georgia College had some great performances on the mens side but did not have the depth in woman's that year.
  5. @Horton My point is that just because Indmar engines aren't utilized in competition ski boats does not mean that this acquisition will have no effect on the towboat industry. If this acquisition affects the towboat industry it affects competition ski boats.
  6. @Horton In 2011 MasterCraft offered Indmar or Ilmor as options. By 2012 MasterCraft boats were exclusively powered by Ilmor. Malibu last used Indmar in 2015 for the Response TXI. You know the industry well enough to know that supplier decisions such as engine provider are typically made on a company level, not an individual model level. Additionally profitability and success of a company is based on the company as a whole. When is the last time a towboat manufacturer produced solely competition ski boats?
  7. @VONMAN Negative - I have used Masterline, Freestyler, and In Tow (all straight bars)
  8. WOW - you US Gear guys are really married to those things
  9. @Lars I believe some 2019s had Monsoon engines, but by MY 2020 all engines were marinized in house. https://www.tradeonlytoday.com/manufacturers/malibu-boats-signs-supplier-deal-with-general-motors
  10. @Horton Yeah, that was all while John was at Bryant in Sweetwater, TN. Not long after the WT-1 launched (Wake Tractor) Correct Craft acquired Bryant (January of 2017). By 2019 Dorton was out and joined Warbird Marine Holdings as CEO - they own Yellowfin and Invincible.
  11. @jgills88 Bryant purportedly had plans to produce a Ski Tractor following the Wake Tractor project, but after being sold off to HeyDay, then HeyDay being acquired by Bayliner I'm sure that project ended up on the cutting room floor.
  12. @JayShower The further along you get in the tournament the easier it is to predict the podium.
  13. @Horton Yes and no... for example Zack Worden would be a hard case for enshrinement in the USA-WWF Hall of Fame as his career was cut short due to injury. There are also individuals who had remarkable professional careers that did not have overly impressive careers in collegiate water skiing. No doubt there will be some overlap. See Zack's results at AWSA Nationals:

  15. @Horton This is a challenging dilemma. If you look at current members, we have far more individuals inducted for their volunteer contributions than athletic performances. I pulled scores and results for both Asher and Worden last night - those two are overdue for enshrinement IMO. A collegiate organization by nature is high turnover. Given current rules an athlete can be involved with NCWSA from an on water perspective for AT MOST 6 years. To be considered for the HOF, volunteers or supporters must have been involved for at least 10 years, and many greatly surpass that requirement. Due to their longer term of involvement volunteers are likely to impact far more individuals and are thus more likely to have someone pen a nomination on their behalf. All that being said I think it is equally important to highlight individuals in both categories.

  19. Quick bump for this thread: The submission deadline for the next year’s induction class is December 31st at 11:59pm PST. All nominations must provide reasoning for the nomination.

  21. @dave2ball Haha maybe we should make the parties pay per view :D
  22. @Jaypro The 2023 Senate Pro should be identical in shape to the 2022 Senate Pro. (The 23 might have a slightly softer layup through the tip to match the changes to Vapor but not positive on that one)
  23. @BKistler I'll have to disagree with you here... Nationals (or pretty much any tournament for that matter) consists of far more slalom pulls than trick or jump. If you run nationals on a two lake site you need a dedicated slalom lake with trick and jump run on another lake. A trick only lake doesn't help you out.
