  1. @fu_man Some sites have international skiers as homeowners or members that help put on the event. If the timeline allows why not let them ski? Nationals is a huge tournament with lots of overhead so a few extra entry fees don't hurt. There are usually 3-10 total international competitors (if the host elects to have International Divisions). Last year the IM and IW divisions served as qualifiers for the US Open - a pro tournament held in conjunction with the GOODE Nationals.
  2. @fu_man International Women and International Men
  3. Should be a 1.26:1 transmission for both the 2020 with the 6.0L and 2021-2023 with the 6.0L. Turn down exhaust tips were added in 2018.
  4. Got it so football brings in $25,000,000 men's basketball bring in $7,000,000 and water skiing costs $500-$6,000 (based on the ISU Sport Clubs Manual) But football = men's basketball = water skiing
  5. Petition Iowa State to shut down their football and basketball programs. You do realize that both football and basketball are revenue generating activities and as such play under different rules than club sports which cost universities money.
  6. @skimtb Looks pretty stripped down - no radio, rear seats, or ski racks.
  7. @Horton Where did you find the mounts?
  8. @UCFskier Yes, the 2021 and 2023 skis are significantly different in shape.
  9. There are plenty of online proshops (some of which have been mentioned here) that have the Syndicate Neo Sleeve (and other neo sleeves for sale). All of these are better options that giving more money to Mr. Bezos :)
  10. @escmanaze Horton is suggesting that switching handle diameters will alleviate pain in the tendons by changing the grip position of your hand slightly.
  11. @bananaron Some hulls are more sensitive than others. The new ProStar has a 30 gallon tank and the fuel level doesn't seem to affect the wake much at 34 and 36mph. The new Ski Nautique has a 29 gallon tank and supposedly drives much better with a full tank and looses its tracking as the tank gets empty. It is also very sensitive to weight placement on the passengers side. The Malibu TXI has a 40 gallon tank (10 more gallons than it's competitors) and is extremely sensitive to fuel level.
  12. It's not a bad driving boat - nothing is going to track like a 200. The 200 almost tracks too well where it starts to feel numb as the skier moves out to the buoy. The new TXI hull has a lot of width through the nose which changes the way it drives, but something you can get used to. The TXI is sensitive to fuel, so the wake is pretty bad if you throw 40 gallons of fuel in the thing but keep it at 65% or less and the slalom wake is great.

  14. Don’t want to do any mods before using it as it came from the factory...Question is, should I change the bungee cord? I would consider that a mod... but yes, changing the bungee out to a fixed lace would take out some of the forward flection. Some skiers using this system have replaced the bungee with a fixed lace.
  15. Kudos to The Duel organizers - they did a phenomenal job with the event. The two former olympians did a great job on the microphone and picked up the sport and the details of slalom skiing quickly. The attention to detail separating the event into blue and red from the boat to the skier's bibs down to the carpet on the starting dock was impressive.
  16. @LeonL It simply isn't worth the effort for the scorer to export the tournament, send it to the seeding coordinator, then have the seeding coordinator upload it to the back end system of the USA-WSWS website when all of the information is available through live scoring. The links Matt posted have official results by division.
  17. @LeonL What information are you looking for that isn't available using live scoring?
  18. @LoopSki Those are access panels to be able to service the ski racks. The internals or "guts" of the ski rack are now between the hull and deck as opposed to being exposed on the 2014-2020 ProStar.
  19. I know Okeeheelee put in a bid for 2023 and 2024, not sure what the decision was.
  20. @jhughes I would suggest it is because Malibu is running a 1:1 transmission while your Nautique likely has a 1.23:1.

  22. If your son has blistering issues, a rubber binding is the worst possible setup. In order to gain control with a rubber binding it has to be tight. Waffling and redness after using a rubber binding is extremely common.
  23. @SlalomSteve They used to make one but it was not very popular. You might be able to find a shop somewhere that still has one kicking around. https://www.wakehouse.com/products/radar-hybrid-rear-toe-aluminum-frame-hrt-black.html
  24. @wettek69 Like @aupatking mentioned the Feather Frame was meant to be a low cost lightweight option for package skis. These are used by recreational skiers who just want to go out and have fun on the lake. The feather frame is obviously not as strong as an aluminum plate and is shorter than a standard plate. Lengthening the plate would decrease the structural integrity of the plate. They Feather Frame works well when used as intended - as a low price package option for recreational skiers. Their high end bindings come on universal aluminum plates which allow you to put X binding on Z ski.
