  1. Is there a link to get live scoring like was available for southern regionals?
  2. @Zman. I wish I could forget a week. Amazed at the size of my calf, or lack there of. I've seen pics in the Internet , but when it's your leg it really hits home. I'll give you a measurement of the two calfs later.
  3. Is these a place to see who is skiing the nationals? I have not found anything when I look on the nationals website.
  4. 24 days post op. Cast is finally off, in boot. Start range of motion. See doc in 2 weeks and start pt. Kinda bummed, after reading other post. I feel I am behind on recovery! I don't know if my rupture was worse or my doc is just conservative. If I can't walk, I can't work. He said I would be pushing it to be in a shoe by Oct 1.
  5. Is it a complement to be put in the category of a sandbagger? You have to be a very good skier to be called that.
  6. Can't blame the buoys either. Ski just stopped. I will have a safer buoys on my lake! Just add insurance.
  7. Update. Removed cast. Took staples out. Didn't hurt at all. Felt like a hair was being pulled. Tried to talk him into a boot. No go! Back in cast until the 16th. Depending on the amount of tendon damage is when you go to boot. Incision looked good. Swelling down. MikeT did surgery go well?
  8. Does anyone use the reflex with strap? Will it help protect a achellies injury?
  9. The rules allow skiers to sandbag. There's no really upside to a win. You should have won. The only thing that makes it hard to win are the other sandbaggers in your group. I think if you have a. MM ranking you are a MM.
  10. Does the ski flex different dual lock vs. insert screwed down?
  11. I have read the two tracks for recovery. I have plenty of time. The 6 month results from what I've read shows strength and mobility to be the same at that point. I would like to start working on range of motion early. At least I feel like I am moving forward. The only time the cast bothers me is at night when in bed. Maybe it because I think about it more. Ben Favret tore his playing basketball 2 years ago about this time and was skiing the next spring %100 recovery.
  12. Right front foot. 5 ball 2 weeks before, at a tourney, I got on front of the ski at one ball on opener and binding released. Put it back on and it released after a hard turn 2@38. Both times it should not have released. Went home replaced dual lock. This time I needed it to release it didn't. I also fractured my inside ankle bone as a bonus. I think I am going to the reflex with the strap. That system is more predictable and the strap might protect the achellies.
  13. Finally listened to Kyle. At 38 your body doesn't need to go around the buoy, just the ski. This gave me more space into 1 ball. I'm done with Powershell!! I think the Nano is a great ski, but I'm going to get on something with inserts. Maybe the Nano 1. I'll see how Kyle likes it when he gets his. We usually like the same ski and setup. He just does it better.
  14. Had surgery Friday the 13th. Second cast Monday. We have not talked in length about the whole process. Ill get my next step Monday. In skiing tems, I'm taking it one pass at a time. Due to evolution we use to have 2 tendons. Modern times some have a extra tendon and some do not. You can have an extra tendon in one foot and not the other. I had a extra tendon so he used the extra tendon to give my torn tendon extra strength. They did a nerve block while in surgery that lasted for about 18 hours. I had very little pain. So far my rehab has been p90x ab ripper, pull ups and push ups. It makes me feel alive. Today was the hardest day on the couch, M4 skied regionals today!
  15. I shamed Kyle into skiing MM at nationals.
  16. Out the front. Powershell didn't release!
  17. Zman I go Monday to remove staples and new cast. Well go thru this together and compare notes on what the doctors are saying.
  18. Never enough time! I'll be back! Next year Kyle will be M4. He will sandbag just to give me a beat down.
  19. Looking very hard to see the bright side, by the time i finish rehab it will be winter. I have 9 months to get back to skiing shape. At least I got to ski a lot this year!
  20. Yes! 90% torn. Cracked inside ankle bone not displaced.
  21. Had achellies tendon repaired 2 weeks ago. Anyone have experience rehab, recovery, or long lasting effects from injury?
  22. It's almost like I'm there. Great link.
  23. I have my rtp 3 inches from my front heel. My back heel is 18 inches from the tail of ski when in rtp. Theory only. If you were going to have someone knock you over, would you want your feet close or wide. The closer my feet are, the window of balance is small. My feet further apart allows more of a range to move forward and back on the ski. I didn't feel it helped or hurt either sides, but more stable. I moves my front binding up a little . Just because your back foot moves back doesn't mean you have to stand on the tail.
