I am now trying to fly Southwest with skis. 3 event bag and sport tube to Orlando for O35 worlds both under 50lbs no extra charge. Tipped curbside agent $40 bucks. I have never been charged extra (normal bag fees) for a slalom ski by any airline as long as it is under 50lbs. Delta has been good also with 3evt bags. My 2 cents Jeff Lindsey

I also have a skinny narrow foot size 11. I went with a size 10 because I was afraid there would be too much room in the 11. When I get my next pair they will be 11 my 10 is just a little short. Jeff Lindsey

Never skied with them but if I was going to FL in January I would check out the Wilson Brothers. They are such nice guys . I have talked to Brooks about stuff and I would love to take a few sets with him he knows his craft. Plus he is team Radar if you need any help on your ski. Jeff Lindsey

As a member of the LOC at this years National and home owner at SMRR thank you for the kind words. " We made it a family vacation". We tried to make it a fun event for all the reasons people had listed. It is a long way and a lot of money for 1 or 3 ski rides. This is my 2cents and my perspective on Nationals and a possible direction. We were in WP for Nats my mother had never understood why we play this game. She came to see my son ski in Nats. She flew in about 10pm and said lets go get a drink. We went to the bar at WP Hilton, someone bought our drinks and after about 10 minutes she looked at me and said," I get it now. This is your Shriner's convention. (My Dad is a Shriner) 1 time a year all the people who love to ski competitively get together eat, drink and ski." She got it in a nut shell for me. My change to Nationals is 2 3 day tournaments. leave qualifying the same state, regionals. The first tournament held in early August for Jrs. Men and women 1. 2nd tournament in late Sept early October for all divisions 2 and up. 2 three day weekends. Less time off work. Adult ski party in the fall. It would open the event up to more sites, we have so few willing to take on a 5 or 6 day event. I sure missed seeing Ham Wallace at this Nationals.... Chest Bump. Jeff Lindsey

I just think Tyler Boyd should be the permanent announcer he filled a ton of time.... That was impressive. He even covered knee boarding... I think.

Lockhart also has Smitty's BBQ my personal favorite and Krews all have been featured on the food channel. There are a few hotels in Lockhart, if we're back here and someone is looking to save a few $$ on hotels. It is a great part of the country. Yea, Scott the heat reminded me of Bako. Wear shoes to the tournament. We have sand burs. Flip Flops and Sandals are fine after you ski but shoes keep the burs off your tender tootsies when at the site. Sunperch: tubes and adult beverages...in the river.... NO GLASS in the river its a $250 fine. We are all looking forward to having ya'll. Tina and I look at the price. It seems like we fly out of SA if were going west and Austin if we go east. It takes a solid 50 minutes to SA but there is a traffic concern. Austin is a solid 30 to 35 min but it is a back way to take traffic out. If you go to I35 s to San Marcos you will more than be delayed by Austin traffic. My advice get the best deal. I did a repair delam repair. It was just the topcoat on an older Strada that I gave to my btrother. I took 2 part epoxy and used a tooth pick to apply in the delaminated area. Then a piece of 1X 1 scrap wood and a wood clamp. It looked new. He has had it 2 years and no additional work has been needed

Everyone of the items listed, except I do not ski in tournaments. There are guys on the dock I want to beat. I want to improve my average or move up on a list. Drink beer at the end and say I missed it by that much... with my friends.. Its fun seeing kids do well. I really enjoy helping put on a tournament where everyone skis well has fun and makes it to the river for post tournament evaluations. Jeff Lindsey

I am at Bennett's that weekend Eating Beer, Drinking crawfish and taking a few pokes. I know there is a drivers clinic here at San Marcos River Ranch on the 12th they may be looking for skiers. I am sure someone else from our site will respond. Jeff Lendsey

It is just the long sleeve spring. It would have been perfect tonight but some idiot took there boat to the shop.... because the radio in the new one was not working. The Boscus clan here next week I thought Rog might need it. Jeff

Mr. Jones, Hope the boat is good.. I was in a local dealer last week and they had an O'Neil long sleeve shorty my size in stock. I bought it have been wearing with the water above 60 or above. It is awesome for our climate. Trent wears a long sleeve shorty when it is real cold... (But he's 1/2 Canadian or something like that)

From the boat it was a brutal crash.... One tough cookie.. It was a tough cut to get in the finals 220 and he took a poke at it. Steven glad the Advil was all you needed. Jeff Lindsey
