  1. I dont have any technical advice and I know how frenetic the pace is behind the boat, but I was told to ski at the lowest speed you can, thats about 28 for me on my ski and the balls still seem to fly up on me. The advice I will give you, and it may or may not work is this, I could really care less how many balls I get and I am not out to impress anyone and try to have fun. That is sometimes counter intuitive to hard work and discipline, but it may help you to clear your head and just ski. Its a hella of a lotta fun and you are awfully lucky to get to ski as much as you do!!!

  2. So first off, I really like my prophecy, definitely helping my game and no plans to lose it, but, I am thinking of getting a slightly less aggressive free ski. I remember when I was shopping I thought pretty seriously about the S3, lot of people said it was a good and forgiving ski as I recall. Does that still hold true? Can you guys steer me to a good "second" ski to free ride on? Coming up on the off season like to see if I could find a deal on something. TIA Doug

BTW doe sizing purposes 6' 200lbs, skiing on a 68' prophecy and talons. I will want a complete ski.

  3. My cousin had one and I skied behind it a couple of summers. I can only recall that I thought it was DA bomb back then. I don't recall her having any issues but I wasn't around it in the off season. I would agree with the above comment that it is probably not the best wake, but if you can get a price/condition combo you like, that is really what matters IMO for a boat this age. As an idea, we just sold a 99 Bu LX sportster that was in very good conditon and low hours for 11750.
  4. @6balls, they are pretty damn quick STOCK, and they have a pretty cool howl when you are pushing them around. They had two new ones on the showroom, not my thing anymore but they are great looking cars!

@Wayne, oh I will be glad to let you know! I couldnt get cruise to engage on the way home, but it worked fine yesterday so I assume that was operator error. That being the case, the truck was delivered with ZERO defects. I am very impressed with it so far.

  5. I dont know if I would opt for the bigger motor? Why? Are you pulling a 250# barefooter? I am 6' 200lbs and always feel like I got pulled right up even on that old Malibu with the Dog in it and doubt that even had 300hp. I am not rich but one thing I dont think much about is how much fuel is going into the boat, maybe not skiing enough to make me care. I am also a tandem trailer guy but out of necessity. Locally its about 8 miles to the ramp but on the freeway, and during the summer it does multiple 180 mile runs.

@Horton, that dog dont shed (or hunt) and it was a Malibu so who cares really ; )

  6. No I clearly said in my post that I have no connection, i just used that service. I havent pulled the boat with it yet but Its a full size truck with a V8 sure it will pull the boat out of the hole as well as the boat pulls me! And again, even though I bought one, I am not pimping Dodge, I would have bought one of the other ones if they were a better deal. I have used truecar twice in the last year and it works great. Maybe Horton can get them to ad on the site? Just trying to keep my fellow ballerz on top of their game.
  7. Its an 2014 ram, I didnt really care which kind I got, I just wanted a good deal, I drove the Ford and Chevy they are all nice, but anyway, there are bunch of incentives and I got 10K off sticker and the cheapest lease I have ever gotten on a car. Good time of year to buy. I am not a Dodge fan by any stretch but it is very nice and lots of cool gadgets. Apologies to Horton, no connection at all, but truecar is a great site in the process. Psyched to have a nice shiny new tow rig!!!!
