  1. It’s the fact that most public water is unskiable during most hours when people are hanging out on a lake outside of dedicated vacation time. That makes it hard to be introduced to the sport. Collegiate skiing is the source of new blood, but finding good water when starting a career is not easy in aggregate. Yes, it can be done, but it’s not easy.
  2. I was speaking with a portfolio manager that has one of the publicly traded boat makers in their portfolio. I asked about the impact of interest rates and consumer financing on the company’s sales expectations, and he told me that approximately 70% of sales were paid for with cash.
  3. Your wife hears the music playing in Terry Winter Quarter Speed and knows what you are watching. She's a skier too, so she stops what she is doing and watches.
  4. When you mention that you went skiing (snow skiing) over the winter months to someone that knows you well, they assume you went to Florida for the weekend.
  5. Caldwell tied Rodger’s the record and holds it as well.
  6. It’s ten degrees outside, you look out you office window over a river you wouldn’t ski, and then text other skiers, “the river is glass.”
  7. @Ajskier this seems like the perfect time to take it outside. You might enjoy going around town in a DryRobe.
  8. For anyone that has a DryRobe and has worn a swim parka, is the DryRobe much different?
  9. @MitchellM plus one more recommendation for FlowPoint Method. I already had most of the equipment necessary at home, so I dropped the gym membership, which offset the cost. I love the variety in the workouts. I did nine sets in five days at Swiss to start last season and felt fine, but definitely tired on day five. Consistent video coaching from Marcus all season was a huge plus. Other positives have already been mentioned.
  10. @swbca please post some updates of what you do and how things go. I have no intention of doing the same thing, I would only ruin a ski, but some of us that came after the ski tuning era might learn a few things. Have fun with it.
  11. @TSki covered all the benefits of the format very well. An analogy I’ll add is that one video is like skiing a one day clinic where you might get a movement to work on, and consistent use is like the ongoing coaching of a week at ski school. Marcus and Jenny used it very effectively in their FlowPoint Method program and they found a replacement already with the OnForm app.
  12. Just go to a hardware store and pick out storage hooks or shelf supports that you like. You can use an old ski line as a clothes line, but the vinyl coated wire clotheslines are cheap too. It’s a garage, function over form. The skis are what makes the garage look good.
  13. I have two old but solid handles hanging off of my pull-up bar to use as TRX straps. I wear out the grip before the spectra shows wear.
  14. @Horton definitely, glad that it has gotten better.
  15. How many have been banned over 14 years? Frustrating for you but often very entertaining for us.
  16. The kids are older now, so really the only thing under the tree is ski gear, and all of it from BoS sponsors.
  17. @coach3 I don’t have experience with the C95, but the 85 is smoother than the 75. I have skied both back to back in the same set, and smoother was a good description of the 85.
  18. Roller doors on the sides would go a long way to allowing for ventilation, wipe down, and getting in and out of the boat.
  19. @rico, nice insights, thanks. Hopefully it keeps you giggling to the annoyance of Horton
  20. @rico If you were able to get a few sets in through November, how did it ski?
  21. I hope it vents well or it might start to smell like an old musty basement.

    New Boat Day!

That’s a very nice looking boat.
  23. @Kelvin great work, and keep exposing those kids to Hendrix. I had to explain it to some of them two years ago.
  24. Today’s webcast now shows as blocked due to SME (Sony music entertainment) copyright. Probably some algorithm that scans videos and picked up background music. Does anyone know if that happens and ultimately gets overridden on a regular basis?
