  1. Just go to a hardware store and pick out storage hooks or shelf supports that you like. You can use an old ski line as a clothes line, but the vinyl coated wire clotheslines are cheap too. It’s a garage, function over form. The skis are what makes the garage look good.
  2. I have two old but solid handles hanging off of my pull-up bar to use as TRX straps. I wear out the grip before the spectra shows wear.
  3. @Horton definitely, glad that it has gotten better.
  4. How many have been banned over 14 years? Frustrating for you but often very entertaining for us.
  5. The kids are older now, so really the only thing under the tree is ski gear, and all of it from BoS sponsors.
  6. @coach3 I don’t have experience with the C95, but the 85 is smoother than the 75. I have skied both back to back in the same set, and smoother was a good description of the 85.
  7. Roller doors on the sides would go a long way to allowing for ventilation, wipe down, and getting in and out of the boat.
  8. @rico, nice insights, thanks. Hopefully it keeps you giggling to the annoyance of Horton
  9. @rico If you were able to get a few sets in through November, how did it ski?
  10. I hope it vents well or it might start to smell like an old musty basement.

    New Boat Day!

That’s a very nice looking boat.
  12. @Kelvin great work, and keep exposing those kids to Hendrix. I had to explain it to some of them two years ago.
  13. Today’s webcast now shows as blocked due to SME (Sony music entertainment) copyright. Probably some algorithm that scans videos and picked up background music. Does anyone know if that happens and ultimately gets overridden on a regular basis?
  14. I think the mikro-just is invaluable and feel that it really helped fine tune my C85.
  15. Our lake owner needs to use a PowerVest to ski. His is patched together and he has had one on backorder for months, so he is looking for a used one. If anyone wants to part with a size XL, please let me know and I’ll pass along contact info. Thanks.
  16. We have two plastic owls that sit on the bottom corners of the ramp with a strand of fishing line connecting the two of them like police do not cross tape. The owls are supported with rope from the top of the jump. Birds don’t like the fishing line and it keeps them from walking up the jump. That seems to be working well. If you have a golf course nearby, start throwing corn on the greens. That will also help keep them off the jump.
  17. @Killer I’m two seasons in on one of those handles and have been pleased. It finally developed finger indentations, which happens with every handle I have used, and I plan to buy another. I used other Spectra handles but did not like how easily the line could get twisted around something. This only happened as I was jumping in the lake and the rope went tight, but I still did not like how the other one wrapped around my fingers. This doesn’t happen with the ML spectra. Conversely, I know a woman with the same handle and after one season she has a wear spot down to the metal. I use both kevlar and amara gloves, I don’t recall what she uses, but she takes good care of her gear. Nevertheless, stuff wears out.
  18. A friend unknowingly had grease on his slalom ski case and I ended up with some in my boat carpet. I soaked the stain overnight with diluted Dawn and then used WD40 to blot it out. I rinsed it afterwards, of course. My son had some black grease or glue stain on his bedroom carpet, so I tested it there before using it in my boat. WD40 worked great in both spots. Add that to the list of solutions.
  19. The ski seems to be fine aside from a battle scar. She PB’d in this weekend’s tournament.
  20. I had similar issues earlier this year when my trim tab got loose. I replaced the lock washers, now it holds the tab fine and drives great, but I have to have the boat well balanced at slower speeds (e.g., 26 mph). At 32 through 36, the balance is more forgiving. Once you get your tab dialed, you may have to manage the weight depending upon the speeds you drive.
  21. @ScottScott the ski is fairly new, it’s a 2022 Vapor and she loves it like it is her childhood dog, so it’s been well cared for. My guess is that it wasn’t noticed quickly and somehow reacted with the outside material. @jpwhit Definitely, that’s on the to do list for Tuesday.
