  1. One of the kids on the college team at our lake had her ski out of it’s case to get ready for a set and someone moving gas spilled some and got it on her ski. I don’t know how, why the can wasn’t well sealed, or how long it was on the ski. She tried to clean it but the ski is stained. I know gas is nasty stuff, but does anyone with more materials science knowledge know if she should expect problems to arise or a shortened life span of the ski? I’m mostly concerned with any weakening that could result in breakage and injury.
  2. @UWSkier I’m pretty sure that he is trying hit others that could use gloves in wet environments. These don’t lock your hands into a gripping position like the pre-curved gloves, so I can see the crossover. @C5Quest I think it could done, the back stretches. I think he sells liners on his page.
  3. Pigozzi put his gloves on Amazon for a very nice price with the hopes of getting reviews. I bought a pair of the boar grips and took my first set today. Before my opening pass, i almost felt like I wasn’t wearing gloves because they flex well and don’t have the extra closures. After the first pass, I forgot that I was trying new gloves. The fit was great, I love the flex of the gloves back, and the palms were protective. I simply skied up the line. He still has them on Amazon for a nice price. I suggest giving them a shot.
  4. My BoatBuckles are on year 11 and going strong, but I plan to replace them this year just to be safe.
  5. @MISkier I just did my bunks and used Cuda Powersports carpet. I was impressed with the quality and it was nicer than the piece of leftover carpet from my old boat and trailer. https://cudapowersports.com/collections/bunk-carpet

    Ski skat

That was cool. Looked like fun.
  7. @Horton do you normally wear mediums from other makers or did you size down?
  8. @BraceMaker that’s a good thought, but in this case the rudder moves very smoothly and that connection seems solid. My attempt to adjust the trim tab to match the other 200 failed. My wife was getting ready to ski so I jumped in the lake and moved it underwater. I must have Forrest Gump’ed into a sweet spot, because it felt better, but not perfect. Next step is to check the rack and pinion. As long as I can drive her opener, I’m good, so I may wait until I have a good weekend to climb under the dash or wait until the end of the season. My old ‘95 observer seat had the base to the floor attached so it lifted and climbing under the dash was easy. Only the seat base lifts on this one, so squeezing under is a pain. I appreciate all the input.
  9. I have a partially torn posterior deltoid. I know a number of you, including Horton, have used the Goode Powervest during injury recovery. For those that have used the vest, does it help with the deltoids even from center line to ball? For those that have torn a deltoid, I wouldn’t mind hearing how recovery went. I’m already in PT.
  10. Update, no real vertical play in the rudder and moving it matches that of other boats. Tightened the connection of the steering cable to the tiller arm to the degree I wouldn’t cause damage. It’s gone from snug to very snug. I still have the issue. Next attempt, I took a little off the trim tab to match that of another 200 at the lake that doesn’t feel loose at lower speeds. Will see how that plays out. After that, I think the only issue could be the connection between the steering wheel gears and the cable. It’s smooth, but maybe there is wear in the teeth.
  11. We watched it when we finally had time to relax and enjoy it. Awesome work. Thanks to everyone at TWBC for putting it together.
  12. @DWthanks, I’ll do that as well. I haven’t been back to the boat yet.
  13. Beach shade tents are super light and the size of a small backpack. You do have to drive in the tent poles. UMARDOO Family Beach Tent Sun Shade Canopy 10×9FT with 4 Aluminum Poles
  14. What’s weird is that I have over 900 hours on the boat and the issue is new this season. Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll grease the rudder and tighten that nut a bit and report back.
  15. As slower slalom speeds, 24/26, my Ski Nautique 200 seems to have a slight dead zone in the steering. At higher speed, 32/34/36, the steering feels better. The rudder tab is well off to the right and locked in with new lock washers, it’s not moving, and provides good pressure. The steering cable is new last year, feels smooth, and does not feel dead at idle. The rudder feels solid. I took a picture of the tiller arm connection and there appears to be a slight gap. Does it appear that the connection of the tiller arm to the steering cable needs to be tightened a bit? The gap where I drew the arrow seems to be something that could cause what I’m feeling at certain speeds. My guess is that at higher speeds the greater pressures remove the dead zone feel.
  16. Definitely go with the four blade. I had a ‘95 and even my wife noticed how much smoother the boat ran when we put the four blade on it. I don’t recall if I ever used an OJ prop to give you that model number, but the ACME 422 was great.
  17. Either this guy is out of his mind and has no idea how old this ski is after googling new slalom skis, or Camille Duvall will deliver this personally over dinner at the finest steakhouse in town.
  18. Rob Hazelwood did some video updates that ran through the run offs. Check either HO Skis or his feed on Instagram to see them. He runs through how Adam is in and Charlie was close, but did not make it.
  19. @1skinut read what @lpskier wrote, and then read it again.
  20. @Horton, sure, but he was the first to use the phrase with me. Likely because the other highly respected coaches saw so much other junk in my skiing that needed to be fixed first.
  21. @Horton certainly wants to move away from soft knees, but for those that went down that rabbit trail, Freddy used that to help me with my offside turn, not the wake crossing or transition, and it helped me stay more balanced fore/aft, so better aligned for the crossing.
  22. We would if we were not bound to the school schedule. The trip looks awesome, and why waste vacation time by not skiing on vacation. Give me several years and when the kids are gone, we will be there.

    ZO issue

There is a 2017 at our lake that had weird issues as well that could be described as ghost touches. Speeds would change without anyone touching the buttons. 70 mph was actually on the screen. It was a MC screen issue, not the ZO. I don’t recall if it was a new screen or a software update.
  24. @Horton what is the story behind each of the human names for the boats? I seem to recall you soliciting suggestions in the past.
  25. Recurring nightmare, I’m at a lake with no way to ski. Could be bad conditions on vacation and the boat never goes in the water, no boat available, etc. Horrifying.
