  1. @Wish I feel like those were a novelty. You can watch 2 runners at a time because they are so close together...2 skiers at a time required the aerial view which is cool for about 3 second, but you can't see a person get broken over from 30 feet. I am with APB in that it would be good to see less warm up passes. It's impressive they can run 38 in their sleep, but watching 10 skiers in a row run it gets tedious...again thinking pitch clock...keep it moving, keep it exciting.
  2. @Horton ...catching up on the how many productive sets...thread... Admit it...this title has more legs than Aaron Rogers!
  3. Some are very vocal about it...there are a lot of pitchers that don't like the pitch clock...but the fact is, it makes a better viewing product.
  4. Swimming you don't have one person put up a time and then see if someone else can do it, Gymnastics, one person does a single routine, then the next person, they don't do 6 passes on the vault. Nascar, everyone is on the track at the same time, cycling time trials I believe are the same, a person goes once, then the next person goes. So as I am typing this I realize the most important difference is that in our sport a person goes x # of times, then then next person y# of times...which is more like cornhole...we don't want to be water cornhole. More action, more tension, better viewing...head to head.
  5. Every pro event you can think of from Tennis to Soccer to Football to Baseball is all a head to head format. It makes it more exciting and engaging for the fan. The notable exception is golf. Do we want to be water golf? No...no we do not.
  6. @lpskier I actually don't have a problem with Safe Sport as a concept. I have a problem with the implementation of systems that allow people to say they are doing something, without actually affecting anything. (and I am still bitter that I could get a pre-quiz question right, and still have to sit through the presentation to then take the quiz and give the same correct answer)

  8. Looks like a tool in my brothers wood shop 🙂
  9. I kind of went in a little different direction and tried the Follow vest after being on Camaro for quite a while. I liked the Camaro because the 'back brace' kept the vest from flipping up on more violent falls. It always did well, but I hated that it weighed 1 ton (American, not Metric) when it was wet. I also wear an earplug in one ear, so I found the pocket in the follow vest intriguing. The flotation is better than I expected, the fit is good, but tight in the arms, so if that isn't your thing, look elsewhere. Had a good crash this weekend and the protection was good. It is pretty light when it gets wet. Just another option to look into.

  15. The pull out. When I am 'right' it all starts there, pull out, glide, and the world stops for a moment.

  17. If there is ever a tournament you see on TWBC and think...man, I want to be there...this has to be the one.
  18. I also have to add...I hope the powers at be of the Masters watched this one and realized that Freddie is everything great about our sport.
  19. @Horton I tightened everything down a week ago 😞 Think I am going to need a deeper dive 😞
