  1. Hey has anyone installed the heat shield that's supposed to go between the IAT sensor and the alternator? If so, do you have a picture?
  2. That looks and sounds great. Did you have to install a new switch on the dash somewhere or were you able to use an existing unused switch. Also., are you running it constantly or just between sets?
  3. had a very similar conversation with Malibu yesterday as well. I'm hoping for sooner rather than later.
  4. I learned a ton from the first edition...did a great job of explaining "how and why" for me at least. i think a "troubleshooting" guide would be cool.
  5. Well that looks fairly easy. did you wire into an existing switch?
  6. 45 degrees here in VT this morning and the thing was a beast...up to speed 3-4 boat lengths sooner. Probably a dumb question but would running the blower when stopped help on hot days?
  7. i have an 18 and agree...although I'm not suffering the same issues that you're describing, it definitely seems weak for a 6L. I'm sure my '15 TXi had much better power out of the hole. that said i've heard that lifting the engine cover slightly may help the engine breath a little more. Haven't tried it myself but seems pretty simple so might be worth a try.
  8. Pretty much learned to ski the course behind a 1985 20ft Dyne comp with a Johnson GT175. Think they called it a gull wing observer seat...the back flip-flopped forward or back so you could face rearward or forward. Loved that boat and it was exactly what we needed at the time. That said, I'd never go back to an outboard. Fun discussion though.
  9. I hate to ask oil questions but... A while back there was a post around the fact that Rotella 15W40 no longer carried the endorsement for gas engines. I know there were/are a bunch of Rotella users here...anyone still using it anyway?
  10. Kettlebells are also a great tool...swings, cleans and deadlifts etc. Work all the right muscle groups including grip and can be done in a relatively small space.
  11. Thanks for the info....I'll be trying it next oil change.
  12. Any ex-Rotella users now using this? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001VXS1UG/ref=twister_B00ATB0NFM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
  13. JB...his 41 prior to running 2@43 was insane. Anyone that hasn't seen it should YouTube it.
  14. Bulls eye boat sight was a big help for my wife...quick easy way for her to check her path occasionally during a pass.
  15. Speaking of Orlando...has anyone skied at Duvall's at Disney? We'll be in the area for a few days in April and thought being right at Disney might be handy for the family. I assume the coaching is very good but having not been on the water since October, convenience and a little time on the water to get a jump on the Vermont season is more important to us than quality of coaching and buoys. Thanks!
  16. Seems to be more his back than shoulders these days, but what Horton says is correct.
  17. Anybody see Parrish's instagram post running 35 Rt foot forward....unbelievable... https://www.instagram.com/p/BLrCPCOlkqZ/?taken-by=cparrish43
  18. I wish someone would make a nice dial caliper with a slot....doesn't seem like it would be to hard and no more dead batteries.
  19. Floating wound be great...lost 2 in the last week...
  20. Our I6s works pretty well...the GoPro takes such great vid, if only you could zoom.
  21. I've never used it but I just had this conversation with my dealer a few weeks ago...that's what it's there for...so for those days when you've got a lot of people in the boat, are using the rear seat and need to get the rope behind them...your not likely to hurt anything.
  22. Does anyone know, or perhaps can measure how much wider the 2nd toe loop is on the Reflex Binding? I ordered the 2nd loop but my monoplate is a bit older so I'll have to drill. Thanks!
