  1. Curious too, anyone using on the Nano One?
  2. @richarddoane wish I could be there, my wife and I are headed to Winlock for the weekend. Should be fun! Would love to hook up and ski with a few of the ball of spray crew.
  3. Don't forget the central Washington sites. My favorite is Sun Basin Ski Ranch.
  4. escmanaze I was in your shoes not long ago! Here are my words of wisdom in no particular order........ 1. Start @ 15' OFF and work up in speed by .5 MPH (if you have a speed control) or 50 RPM's if you don't. 3. Try to get up to 34 MPH @ 15' OFF then cut rope 4. Being only 3 years away from the 34 MPH Club........ my motto became "I don't necessarily have to ski better at 36 MPH, I just have to get old enough!" 5. Cut rope on days you want to just have fun! Build speed on the days you want to work! 6. Your already behind a good boat. Add speed control with some form of course timing if you want to do tournaments (Look into INT League Tournaments - FUN STUFF - GREAT WAY TO GET BETTER FASTER - Wish I had done it earlier!) 7. Get on the right ski as soon as possible. Right ski will be determined somewhat by what you want to spend and how far you want to take this hobby. We could all chime in on what we think is the best. My story: I waited until I was 35 yrs. old (currently 36 years old) to enter into a tournament because I wasn't interested in the 36 MPH club or just didn't feel like I was accomplished enough to do that. When in reality, I should have been skiing in every tournament I could find. It is a GREAT way to get better, even just watching and being part of the experience, especially INT. 5 years ago, I was struggling to ski full passes at about 30 MPH and 15' OFF. This past Saturday, I matched my PB from last year with 2 Balls @ 38' OFF 34.2 MPH. SO............. I contribute my progression to skiing nearly everyday from May 1 - Nov 1, 2003 Nautique 196 with SG Zbox, 65.25" GOODE Nano One with Power Shell 5's. And I look forward to getting better every set!
  5. Ditto on Miller. That man can set up a ski. Also the nicest guy in the world! Call GOODE and get it dialed in.
  6. I have a 2012 like new 66" Goode Nano Twist LFF 208 AMP Mid-Ride. Looking for $1000 this week for the ski. Shipping is on the buyer. Take a look at http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?topic=Search&category=Slalom&postid=22966
  7. Maybe pair it with INT League........ Cash Prize AND a donation to a charity........ I would be in!
  8. Try giving Eric Pettinger a look up. He owns, designed, and built his lake in California. Villa Labos I think........ He builds lakes for a living and is a GREAT GUY! He would be a wealth of info, since he does every part of the design and runs the equipment to build. On a separate note...... I really Like SUN BASIN SKI RANCH in Moses Lake, WA.
  9. I moved from a Nano Twist Mid to the Nano 1 and LOVE IT! I have not heard anything about the Mapple............. but, I do know that if you liked your mid ride, you are going to LOVE the easy transition to the Nano ONE.
  10. I have a 6.4 Module, Single Line Display, Magnet Pick up. All came out of a 2003 Ski Nautique Mechanical Drive. I will sell each part for 50% off what Perfect Pass sells them for. Great deal. Everything works. Let me know if anyone is interested. On Topic: I started skiing tournaments this year. I have PP Stargazer with the ZBox set up. My training partner is my wife, 1 year old daughter, 3 year old son.......... We ski every day. I can't imagine life without speed control. You just have to decide what level you need/want...... I know guys that have really dialed in their PP RPM set ups with magnets on their courses and the boat pulls great. Vice versa, I know guys with ZO that don't even know how to use them and haven't mapped courses, and their pull is brutal...... So, you can get what you need for your application. I needed tournament worthy easy set up for a mechanical control boat. My option was PP Stargazer, ZBox, and go SKIING!
  11. Could think of it this way as well........ you being goofy, you have an advantage on the gate and approach to ball 1....... which is really how you make or break an entire pass (in my opinion......)
  12. I upgraded to Stargazer and Zbox. I have some classic PP parts if you are interested. I will sell at 1/2 price from new. All were in a 2003 Nautique 196.
  13. My 2 cents, would be to see what the manufacturer would charge. Might be less than you think, might hold up better than you can do, heck, they might even take care of you better than you think......
  14. I can see it pulling squirels at a waterski show............ Squirels can have any flag you think matches....
  15. I bought a turbo for my snowmobile...... 270 hp on a 600 lbs sled. While it isn't running 38' OFF, it ought to help pass the time.......null
  16. Consider the size of files when digitally recording. I have a nice Sony HD Camera, and it works GREAT! BUT, files are so darn big and converting those files into other formats for play back on DVD players is very time intensive, not to mention the storage of those files. I would just caution you on that aspect, it can be overwhelming. With that said, I have a Go Pro 3 that I am buying for use snowmobiling and waterskiing......... not sure what it does for file sizes or formats of video???
  17. Where do I go to buy? And how much do I need to ask Santa for in US dollars for a good 55-65 degree wet suit?
  18. Looks like the top layer has the raised decal inset into the ski....... looked like their skis prior to the Nano 1......
  19. Anyone know why the Nano ONE seems to have been left in the cases at the World Cup. Seems like Regina and T-Gas are skiing the Nano Twists??? Mid Rides??? Anyone know?
  20. Ladies score fell ofthat front page. Looking forward to see what their scores were. Looked like a rough and lumpy waterscape for the guys.
  21. Music Teacher from Orondo, WA. Ski on the Columbia River and jumped into INT last summer. So much fun. Plan on skiing some other tournamnets in the state next summer. PB is 2 @ 38' OFF at 34.2 MPH ZO. Looking to run my 38's next season. Finally got myself on a good boat with good gps speed control and on a goode ski. All the wierd variable of the past are gone, just me and the course now!
  22. This is a suit I bought for my wife, and she never used it. Bought it brand new 5 years ago. Suit has been stored in our house in a large zip lock bag designed for storing suits. This is a bag suit, but is brand new with out tags. Same as the stay dry from Wileys or any of the overton ones as well. this is a size small. $150 sounds like a deal. Let me know what you think.
  23. Forgot to mention, I would TRADE this ski for a GOODE wide-ride version of the twist, 9960, or 9900. Let me know what you got!
