  1. I keep a bottle of cheap Dollar Store dish soap undiluted in my boat for all the people that need to use soap. I like my Radar bindings.........comfy and no soap necessary! :)
  2. Originally from Canada and I would use a fake lake with a mix of antifreeze and water in my pails. (2 x 5 gallons) Once engine was flushed I removed all plugs in block, drained water pump, and removed all water lines at lowest points. I would recover most of my mixture with pails under exhaust ports at back of boat and under drain in bilge area. I lived in AB where it gets colder than most parts and never ever had an issue with ant of my boats. Spring just did reverse. Put plugs back in, hooked up hoses and fake lake, Started boat up, let water circulate and loaded ski equipment into boat to head to lake. Oh I always stored my battery in my basement on top of a plastic milk crate so it wouldn't freeze.
  3. I pretty much just stated my HOA dues and water bill for the community. Not even going into the cost of house and taxes. The irony in it all is that when we used to ski public lakes back in Canada before we moved I bet I spent way more money to ski per year in costs than I do here and I ski year round here! :)
  4. 82 air temp and water at 66 today at 2:00. Christmas Day????? Loving it!!!!!
  5. Got a set in yesterday. Weather was cloudy but 72 degrees and water is still 65 degrees. CRAZY! Dec 22 and 65 degrees! Love it!!!!
  6. @swaterkd - I use Radar Strada bindings so no release. It's the first time I have ever had an injury like this. I like the bindings because I have come out of them in previous crashes. This one just compressed the back ankle after the ski skipped and then caught straight on again. All thanks for the advice. I have a physical therapy plan now and won't be skiing for a couple weeks until it strengthens and heals up some.

  8. Water still warm enough to ski with no suit. Weather has been very high 70's low 80's and I suffered an injury to my ankle! Arrr. Ironically a ski buddy of mine and myself both suffered the exact same injury a week apart. While turning a buoy the ski skipped and caught hard again resulting in a compression sprain of my back foot ankle. It's a terrible injury in that it seems to take forever to heal. I took a week off and yesterday went out to give it another shot. First wake crossing through the gates it reminded me it hasn't gone away! It really messes with your mind because you start over compensating and then everything is a mess. Will try again today and if it's still something I can't seem to get around I guess the boat and ski get put up until such time as it gets better! Hate it!!!!!! :(
  9. @ShaneH you should be embarrassed to even admit that! Heck we were skiing on Sat in just shorts. Was even nicer yesterday but I had to go out of town to work!
  10. Dang I never read this until now and it's dark. We skied today and had amazing water. Too bad you could have skied with us!
  11. What is this "Off Season" you speak of?
  12. Web site looks like it's undergoing some updates or something? I can only find it in the brochure unless I'm looking wrong?
  13. Anyone have a Radar Sequence Plate laying around they might want to get rid of? Maybe you've changed bindings or swapped from the sequence plate? I can easily buy a new one but just thought I'd ask any of you ballers if someone had one they wanted to get rid of? Message me - thanks. :)
  14. Enjoying the luxury of being able to build a home in a ski community and enjoying all it's benefits. I also love having guests over to ski and have even hosted some members from here at our house. I also ski year round too so I'm very fortunate. Now if the gains would just start coming quicker to shorter line lengths I'd be a much happier dude! :)
  15. Agree with @LeonL. When we lived in Canada and had to drive to the lake and on nights where it would drop down below freezing we would pull the plug at the lake and drive home to drain boat. Once at home I'd replace plug to not allow cold air to come up inside and simply dropped a clear 100 watt bulb in the motor box. This allowed us to ski an extra 3 weeks just about every year.
  16. I had to choose the option of putting ski in bag and putting it away only because I'm fortunate enough to ski year round. SO it really never gets put away for very long! :)
  17. Just make sure you're ready for the jump. The Lithium Vapor is by far a whole lot different ski than the Senate. Even the Graphite Vapor can be a big step. Hate to see you spend $1500+ for a stick and then realize you're not ready for it!
  18. Agree with @brody. I bought one for my daughter this year and in 3 passes her skiing improved like crazy. Currently running mini course and catching the odd full course buoy on her passes. Shouldn't be too long before she's running full passes on it.
  19. Drop down to a 68 or even a 67? I'm 200 pounds and only 5' 10" and my coach talked me into going back to a 67 from a 68. Glad I listened to him. :) Consider a Graphite Vapor - responsive yet forgiving enough.
  20. I ski a Radar Lithium Vapor and love it. I'm on my 3rd one. However here is a killer deal: http://ballofspray.com/forum#/discussion/14543/2014-connelly-prophecy-67-400
