  1. @Spuddy FYI, that 197 open bow will only fit kids and not sure I trust kids in such a shallow small bow and they will get wet and not on purpose! As for Zero off that can be a long term project but most likely a 2008 engine will already to ready for it. Buy the boat and save some cash for a year or 2 and then add it.
  2. A 2008 can most likely be upgraded to Zero off for about the same cost as Perfectpass, that would give the 206 a big advantage and better resell long term. Both are well made boats. I owned a 197 and would say that the front bow is tiny and easy to take water on.
  3. No Cons, works great! Latest version is magic on Z-Box. If you already have old version of PP then super easy to install.
  4. On the Radar Boots, Don't wet the boots, Dry Feet and Dry boots and the slide in so easy! I am a size 13 and boots are always tight, the dry method was shocking!
  5. My Closest friend's boat at his dock, Always loved this Pic!
  6. I have a 06 Ski Nautique with the 9.20 Z-Box and ski behind a 2 / 200's and new Prostar's with Zero-off and ski the same behind them all. The latest version of Z-Box was a big improvement over the early versions. Locks in way quicker and hold speed way better.
  7. At that speed and line, the 197 has a big bump. The SL wake on that boat skis well at 34 and 28 off and shorter.
  8. I am 6’5 and about 240. XL Billabong vest works great. Be careful not to buy too big. They all stretch out and get bigger with wear.
  9. MC and SN are both great boats, but on public water the SN rides a little better through chop. MC has great wakes at long line / slower speeds but both are great to ski at 34mph.
  10. @jjackkrash Don't worry 2 other countries have agreed with you, Liberia and Myanmar are on board! Only 211 other countries to convince.....
  11. @smokevw That area looks amazing and has hosted ski tournaments in the last few years. Also, FM (https://fluidmotionsports.com/) is based on that lake and the owner is a die hard skier. My gut says, track this guy down and he will give you lots of info on getting ski help on your lake! At that ski club I have even seen a ski jump in the pics, most be some good skiers in your area. Best of Luck!
  12. @smokevw Where are you located? Looks like BC and if it is there aere lots of great places to get some coaching and continue to a great ski life! Let us know where and maybe we can suggest someone to help out.
  13. After joining our local club years ago, I found the best way to learn was to hang at the club and ask the other members. The long time members were awesome on helping. I would suggest joining the club and then start hanging out and asking for help, everyone was a Newb at one time!
  14. I switched this year after 20+ years of double boots. Seemed "loose" for first few weeks but now seems to ski the same as my double boot, same scores. I bought the Alu plate in a XL and am very happy with it.
  15. @FSSPCat You are more then welcome, if on Facebook, ask to join Snug Harbour waterski club and we have a few pics etc of the site. Hope that next summer all back to normal, we made it down this year for 3 weeks, had perfect weather and lots of skiing!
  16. @FSSPCat Congrats on the course success! You can get a permit on Pend O and drop a course next summer.
  17. @FSSPCat is that Rockyview? We ski at Predator Bay and Pend o river.

    Heaters

My heater is 16 years old and going strong. RV anti freeze all winter and blow it out before of all water.
  19. @MamaCat Glad to hear that you are having fun tackling the sport! As for "women's" vs men's skis, the women's models are just mens skis with different graphics, sometimes maybe a little softer flex. If you prefer the unisex graphics, then don't worry about flex as you are strong from the sounds of it anyway.
  20. @brooks I think Radar should build and fill this void! a single model 50" trick ski in a basic construction for new trick skiers and bigger folks also. I would buy in a heartbeat, would be a fun extra tool in the boat to play with also. Target a $499 PP with construction like a Union level ski?? Once we get good, graduate to a Graviton? There is a market!
  21. Watch Out, my wife started 8 years ago and is a true addict! So awesome to have all that time together in a boat doing something so awesome together!
  22. And Perfectpass was founded and still based in Nova Scotia that is NE of Maine. Canada has awesome warm summers.
  23. They ski in Yellowknife, NWT, Canada! That is north!
