  1. Love both boats, but you really need to drive them both and see if one works better for you. We have 2 2019 Prostar's we ski and drive at our ski club (5.7 & a 6.2) and at our lake we have 2 200's and a 196 that we all drive and ski all the time. My wife runs30/22 off and 32/15 consistently and I ski into 35 off on a good day. My wife does not like driving the Prostar's at all, she vastly prefers driving any of the SN. She likes skiing behind both them. Personally feel that both are great boats but the SN are smoother to drive, the throttle, steering, tranny are all smoother. Maybe a slight edge at slow speeds, long line to Prostar for wakes (maybe?). SN also ride much smoother if use on public water. Some thoughts, both awesome!
  2. @MarcusBrown Can you add Spotify or Goggle Podcasts for us Android types? Thanks for the reply!
  3. Where can you download these podcasts to my phone? I am a newbie with Podcasts but would like to listen in the car driving!
  4. @Windsurfnut, The boat is at the lake and I am back to work now. Next trip down will take a pic of the settings. I have Excalibur 330 and 422 prop, normal 196 setup.
  5. I have upgraded to Z box 9.2 on a 05 196 and it works great, very solid times through the course, quick to lock in speed and very happy with the results. My ski club has 2018 Prostar w Zero off and I ski / drive those boats regularly and with latest Z-box 9.2 can not tell much difference. Both ski great. @Dacon62 I went from 9.0 to 9.2 this summer in late July. 9.2 was a big upgrade! Locked in way faster and new Practise mode is easy to use. Like the new screen layout also!
  6. Z box in version 9 on is awesome! Makes a good boat / Great!!
  7. One of my ski partners has shoulder issues and has separated both over the years. Would this vest help take pressure off his shoulders?
  8. I have been to this amazing ski lake, the lake and house are both A+++. Sad to hear you are selling :(
  9. Had the same issue, Radar fixed it. All good.
  10. I owned a 2001 Sport N and traded for a MC Tournament Team 197. The Sport had a better wake for SL. Great fun boat and I made a mistake in trading boats at the time.
  11. I owned a TT 197, tough wake at 15/22 off or slower speeds. Once 28 off and 34mph it was good, the new Prostar (2015 on, 14 has tranny and steering issues) are awesome boats.
  12. @mmosley899 I have Z-Box in my 05 196 with a Excalibur 330, skis very well. We also ski behind Prostar's with Zero off regularly and Z-Box is very close. Need at least Version 9.0 of Z-Box, early editions did not work as well and that is where the weak comments came from i am sure.
  13. @pjnyk importing a boat is not hard, $300 RIV fee for trailer and need to do an inspection on trailer at Canadian Tire (included in $300 fee) once you have it home. Pay sales taxes at border based on sale price. The Border guys will research value of boat and if you got a crazy cheap deal may not accept your price if way below market. Other then that it is easy, boat is zero issues and trailer is bit more effort. The border guys use a fair exchange rate to determine taxes.
  14. Just traded my 97 TSC-1 for a 2005 TSC-2, 2 seasons ago and skied both boats back to back just before we sold them. Love them Both! The TSC-2 is better 32 off and shorter, the trough is filled in a bit better. The TSC-1 is bit better a slower speeds and 15/22 off. Those as the question was best at 15/28 @ 34, I would say TSC-1 by a hair. 28off they are equal. Great boats!
  15. @Dockoelboto, sent you a PM
  16. Swerve is a good place to ski and Micheal is a great coach!
  17. Camping in the parking lot at Swerve watersports in Hillsboro, TN and reflecting on our trip. The ski community is amazing, we pulled into @jayski 's place at Cottonwood and had our first sets of the season. Jay and Tracy welcomed us to their place and we left with new friends and a love of cottonwood! Can not say thanks enough or strong enough, it was amazing. We then drove to Bennett's for a week of skiing, my wife's cousin and partner flew into join us, Amy came to learn how to ski and left on a Single ski. Shawn came to learn how to get up on one ski and ended up running the learning course. My wife had a huge week, Learned new tricks, SL technique improved and went off the Big jump (and landed) for the first time ever. My wife had never skied at all just 7 years ago, now a 3 event skier! Bennett's is a special place, Jay, Anne, Danyelle and Steve are like family, they are special people! @teammalibu , Mike had posted that we should come to Cedar Ridge, so we did! Along our trip everyone kept telling us about how nice CR is, it was even off the charts! The whole family at the Ridge are amazing, Mike and Karen were hosts to us and we had never meet before, Bubba, Jim, Lonnie all were there skiing and adding extending the best southern hospitality. We will be back to all 3 of these places (if they will have us back) and this trip has been proof that people are awesome! Thanks!!!
  18. OK, Thread Bump! My wife Alana and I just skied The ridge this week and had the most amazing 2 days! @teammalibu (Mike and Karen) invited us to come ski and we did, one of the best decisions I have ever made! The short course was super fun and Bubba was an awesome driver that made it smooth, after skiing the 8 ball course the regular lake almost seemed too long! Thanks to everyone at the Ridge, what a great family!!
  19. Been traveling now for close to 3 weeks! had a great snow trip down and ended up skiing at Big Sky, Snowbasin, Snowbird (24" in 24 hours) and Taos (loved Taos!). Had a windy trip trip across north Texas and got first set on water at Cottonwood with @jayski. Jay and his family are amazing and the lake and boat were perfect! Awesome way to start the season. Now at Bennett's and just had first day on water here! Been an awesome trip so far, and thanks to everyone for the advice and invites! Alana and I are overwhelmed by how nice ballers are!
  20. I had a 97 TSC1 bubble back and she had the 240hp motor in it. so at least in 97 that base motor was still offered. After that not sure.
  21. My wife and I had the pleasure to ski with Jay a few days ago, his lake and boat ski amazing! Jay and his family are the nicest people and we loved every minute we were able to share with them. As for the new 200, the boat was perfect, I think the changes they have made to the boat (new screen, remove side storage etc) have improved the boat. Wake was non existent and boat had a great hole shot.
  22. @DSP We just skied at Big Sky last few days and camping tonight in Driggs and skiing at Jackson Hole on Monday. Will be in SLC Wed /Thursday ish but the forecast is not promising! We only brought Hot Tops and no full suits as planned the north half to be snow and south to warm and wet! I hear the snow is great at Snowbird / Alta however!
  23. There was 2 different Carb motors also, 240hp and the HO at 285hp. HO was carb and GT40 heads. I had a 240 hp and swapped out Heads and intake, fresh Carb rebuild and she ran awesome.
  24. @TFIN, Have almost skied with you a few times! We ski at Predator Bay but always seem to miss your clinic's there and we were at Rosewater couple of summers ago, put ending up skiing with Terry Winter that day, who was awesome also BTW.
