  1. I need to also tell my dream come true story! Alana and I re met 7 years ago and she had never skied in her life. She tried the morning after we re met (much wine involved and failed), after a few dates, she tried again on the last weekend of the season in 55 degree water and got up on 2 skis. Her Christmas present that winter was a P6 SL ski (quote: where is the other one?) and the rest is history! Alana now runs the course, will ski and drive in all weather, has run 22/30 and 15/32 and is the best driver and WIFE a man could dream of! Some of us are way beyond lucky
  2. Awesome, you are Lucky and Blessed, but mostly sound like a great human! Have fun!
  3. Yup, Shaun would not take long to master the Buoys! Good man and great athlete! Thanks for sharing to video.
  4. UWSkier, Version 9 is way better but I still don't way overshot on throttle. It is still a mechanical system and no point and making harder then required. It does work way better then the old software however!!
  5. I upgraded last year to Version 9 and was early on getting it. I am super happy with Z Box with Ver 9, locks speed fast, and good times. I ski Zero Off boats and my Z Box back to back all the time, both work great.
  6. I had the same issue last year! Black main line and short one 7 ft section. I contacted the company and they replaced it. I ski at 2 different lakes and have a mainline for each, thought one lake was way harder to ski!
  7. Any idea if Radar will make a XL HRT on Alu plate? Seems that big guys would prefer the stronger plate and I use a Profile Plate and can use a HRT on back?? I would buy one to test for sure!
  8. I had both and it fit fine, never left a mark but did not use it ton.
  9. PS, I upgraded my Z Box last year to latest software and it was big improvement! Works great!
  10. I also ski behind a new Prostar ZO boat (awesome) and my own 196 Z-Box (awesome) boat's. I like both pulls a great deal and ski very close to the same behind both. However last summer, I was skiing into 32 off behind the 196 at my cottage but when I can home and skied at the club was losing a full pass. At the end of the year, I discovered that my "new" mainline rope at home was mislabeled and was missing the 15 off section, thus my opening 22 off pass was actually 28! Always measure and check a new rope!
  11. I owned that model and year, I sold it to buy a MC Pro tournament 197, The Air Nautique had a better wake! Great fun all around boat, sack it out and it will even surf ok. Great deal on that boat with 550 hours.
  12. No water in Ghost anymore till after Aug.1st. Since the big flood they run it way low all spring and most of summer. Looks sad now!
  13. Sad Part, Warren was not even mentioned at the Academy Awards, at the end they list people that passed away and still no mention. Warren Miller was a true legend and awesome film maker! RIP
  14. JMO, in 2018, I pretty sure that the Vapor is sold in both Pro Build (PMI core) and Lithium (PVC core) and being the same shape / ski with different cores. They did the same thing in 2017 and then updated the shape for 2018.
  15. My friend has a Nautique 216 and I have driven, skied and surf'd it, tons of room and does all sports pretty well. Fun to drive too! I have another friend that had a X-14 DD and I would not say the same, he sold it went to 2 boats also.
  16. OldJeep- I have not driven a VTX and I hear it is a bit of a "Unicorn" in the V drive world that it skis quite well, But 90% plus of V-Drives are handle like Pick up trucks and 90% of DD's drive like Sports Cars, Just like cars, Mid engine sports cars are best handing! Again there may be exceptions, but most V-Drives drive sluggishly. I do own a big V-Drive and a SN196, Wife and I are skiers, Kids Surf, 2 boats was our only solution.
  17. Nautique 216 is a DD boat that skis great and can Surf very well! Lots of room and still handles like a DD. DD are so much more fun to drive to!!
  18. Susan, thanks a ton for taking the time to clear up the status of the lakes! this is the info I was looking for and so happy to hear that it is still moving forward. Have fun skiing!!
  19. Zman, come back anytime! I have been in the Alpine ski biz for 35 years and have had the pleasure of skiing all over the place! Does not get any better then the skiing around Revelstoke, come ski Revey the mountain and do a Cat ski trip at Mustang Powder, Monashee Powder or K3. The prices and exchange rate not much more then skiing Colorado, and with Cat skiing (like Heli but in a snow cat) every run is deep and zero tracks, fresh tracks even last run of the day!
  20. Wish: If you fly into Calgary, The Rockies are an hour away, then the resorts are about 1/2 hour to an hour apart all along the trans Canada Highway. It ids just like flying to Denver and then driving to Aspen and passing all the resorts along the way. Just sub Revelstoke for Aspen! Lake Louise for Vail, Sunshine Village for Copper etc!
  21. Yesterday at Castle Mountain resort in Southern Alberta, Bluebird and 40 cm's of snow over night!
  22. scotchipman, Yes. we are having another great season, I am cat skiing tomorrow and then 2 more days next week in a Cat, (like Heli skiing but use a 12 person snow cat instead). Last season, my wife and I did a road trip and hit Jackson, Sun Valley, Aspen, was surprised at how expensive skiing is in USA now! Jackson Hole was $144usd for a ticket plus they charge $20 to park your car. To Compare, Lake Louise is quite a bit bigger then Jackson Hole is about $75usd ticket ($100cdn) and free parking. Food is 1/2 price here at the lodges. Truth was Jackson Hole was a bit a disappointment to me, the steep runs were short and the rest of the mountain was not that interesting, Louise has way more terrain, way longer steep runs, and is a more interesting mountain to explore. My Favs in USA that I have skied are Snowbird / Alta, Squaw Valley and Schweitzer, along with a soft spot for Sun Valley.
  23. Last weekend at Lake Louise, 132cms (52inchs) last week and snowing this week again!
  24. BTW, Western Canada like Lake Louise, Sunshine, Kicking Horse, Revelstoke, Fernie are having a record snow year! Mountain Collective pass works at Louise, Sunshine and Revelstoke! Try the Great WHITE North this year! Skiing is bigger and way cheaper with exchange rate, 30% off the whole country!
