  1. Hi All, About 8 years ago I went and looked at this ski lake development near Phoenix and the lots were selling around $300k, all these years later and lots are selling (maybe selling) well under $100k. Looks like no homes have ever been built, does anyone know what happened to this ski lake? Does it ever have a future?
  2. I updated my Z-box to version 9 this spring and found my 05 196 to run much better, consistent times in the course. My best pass's behind my 196 were 4@32 and at my ski club skiing behind a 6.2 ZO 17 Prostar was 3@32. I find the Prostar a firmer pull but consider that the 6.2 vs my 343? The latest Z-box works great in my humble world!
  3. What we do in the Winter, talk about waterskiing and all summer talk about Powder in the boat!
  4. aspski, great pic of my all time favorite ski area, Love Lake Louise!! Pic is of the backside of Louise
  5. Skiing is awesome both summer and winter!! My wife and I had a great winter skiing last year, and an awesome summer this year on water!! Have fun and enjoy the change of seasons.
  6. Woke up to this today!! Live between Calgary and Banff, Alberta. A week ago we were 90 and then rain and dropping temps, now this!
  7. escmanaze, you described my wife and I perfectly. We both ski almost everyday in the summer. Have a course at our cottage and belong to a private ski lake at our house. Neither of us have ever skied in a tournament and have very little if any interest in ever skiing a tournament. We keep our Buoy count for ourselves and enjoy improving but don't care how we stack up against other people. Best part, tournaments at our club is so many are on lake 1 that lake 2 is empty and we ski our butts off without waiting! We own a TSC2 and love our boat!
  8. Last report i heard is that 3 G23's were spotted within an hour of each other in the middle of the night on the Trans Canada highway east of Winnipeg. The 4th boat was in shrink wrap so does not stick out as much. Maybe heading to Thunder Bay to ship out of country?? Northern Ontario is a big empty place and lots of places to hide 4 boats till things cool off. Wizard Lake Marine is good supporter of local waterski clubs, this will hurt them!
  9. Sold my 97 BB this spring and loved the boat, upgraded to a almost new 05 TSC2 with 200 hours, love my new boat. Ski at a ski club and drive and ski the new Prostars and my friend has a 200, love all these boats!
  10. Just went from a nice 97 TSC1 this year to very nice 05 TSC2 hull. Both ski very well, TSC1 may have been a tiny bit smaller / softer at 15 and 22 but the TSC2 has less trough at 28 on. My wife skis 30mph and 15/22 in course and liked both boats. I ski 34 and 22 to 32 in course. Have friends with an LX and an LXI and both prefer my wakes.
  11. Was at Rosewater ski lake in Montana yesterday, my wife and I had a great clinic with Terry at the new ski lakes and then was excited to watch Terry run 41 on his new KD and finish up with 1/43 for a new lake record! New KD ski seems to be working for him! Had a look at it, seems very well made and nicely finished. Best of luck to Terry on this venture. BTW, Terry gave both of us awesome coaching and really helped our skiing in short order, excellent coach and skier. Thanks
  12. I am from Calgary and drive past Moyie as we have a place in Sandpoint also, have seen the course most summers on Moyie tucked in a west side bay, looks like a great location to ski.
  13. Version 9 is best ever, I upgraded from 8.06 and it works way easier and smoother, 2005 196 / excalibur!
  14. Hemlock, I updated from 8.06 to 9.0 this spring, boat locks on speed much quicker. Also, starts with skier class (feather to xl option) and then goes to speed. Seems like less clicking through needed and main options that change are presented. Also calibration is super easy with 9.0. Upgrade seems worthwhile, since 8.06 it has worked well for times and holding speed.
  15. SVLaw, BTW, you are so right about getting from north to south!! We skied Sun Valley and Jackson Hole this winter and did not even go to our place in Idaho on the trip. Nice area you live in.
  16. We have a house in Sandpoint but live here in Calgary. Love Idaho and heading back down tomorrow! Help a bit in maintaining our SL course in Sandpoint and belong to Predator Bay here in Calgary. If you see us on the river skiing in Sandpoint ,say hi. We have a White / Black / silver SN 196!
  17. Have my new V9 stick sitting here waiting to install, winter and cold is still dragging on. Have Z-box and was happy with V8.06 last year but wanted to test V9. Excited to hear the early positive results.
  18. Thanks, I think I will try a Vapour this year!
  19. Eddie, Radar used to list the surface area of the skis? What is the difference between a Senate 69" and a Vapour 69.5" does the 1/2 inch offset the .2 width difference at all? I ski a last gen Graphite Senate and thinking of moving to a Lithium Vapour, have always skied a 69"ish ski, 6'5", 240 lbs. Skiing 32 /34 mph and make 4 / 5's at 34 / 22 off. want to get into 28 off this year at 34. Advice?
  20. What part of the country is the boat located?
  21. Hi All, been in the Alpine ski world for over 30 years in the wholesale end of it. Not so easy to get rid of the eyelets, To develop and build new molds for shell is about $25,000 euro per model / per size. Once a mold is done, they are not able to change the design. As Horton mentions, you can change stiffness, color, even type of plastic used but the molds are fixed.
  22. At my club, Predator Bay in Calgary, we have 2 of the Prostars with 6.2 engines, WOW, they are so quick and have so much power! They are fun to drive, and great to ski behind.
  23. OK, FYI, the RedBlack's name comes from a Lumberjacks shirt, you know the Red/black plaid, the mascot is a Lumberjack. The Grey Cup is the oldest championship in North America and it came down to Overtime, even with a 20 point lead at the half, we all knew it was anyone's game. QB's have a huge field and only 3 downs, so lots of passing in the game. It was a great game yesterday! Now: Go Seahawks!
